This three story Custom Cedar Cabin was constructed summer 2007 with lots of decking overlooking Watauga lake. 3 bedrooms total, 2 1/2 baths, central heating & air conditioning with the ability to sleep 9 comfortably.

Our stay at Hidden Cove was wonderful. Hidden Cove is a comfortable, cozy cabin with gorgeous lake views. The master bedroom is huge and even has a balcony overlooking the lake. My husband and I felt like we got all the privacy we needed up there. The great room (living area, kitchen & dining) was open and easy. Kids watching TV while moms were in the kitchen, grandma at the dining room table putting together her traditional puzzle & the guy's just outside, on deck hanging out, enjoying the views & hot tub - everyone could see each other and felt surrounded yet had our own space. The other two bedrooms down stairs had plenty of room for everyone and a large full bath. We all commented on how comfortable the bedding was too and we all know how important that is ...
We rented boats just as Melody suggested and enjoyed one of the prettiest lakes I think I've ever seen. It's a huge lake and going out on a boat is an all day trip. We suggest renting the double decker pontoon boat for a day of Lake adventure. We also tried about all the restaurants suggested in our welcome package - they were as Melody said wonderful dining experiences down to the blue grass 'hoe downs'. This is a great place to rest, relax and get away from the world, its prefect for those seeking adventure and for those seeking solitude. Mom approved!

We just returned from a wonderful romantic fall vacation at Hidden Cove. We cannot say enough positive about our experience. Booking was simple and straightforward, and all fees and deposits were disclosed right up front. Melody, the owner, was wonderful, easy to work with, and very attentive to our needs. She sent a large packet of information about the cabin, the area, and extremely precise directions that made finding the property a snap. We have rented vacation properties all over the world, and she is in the top 1% of owners, for sure. The property itself is simply beautiful, and overlooks the lake, with a great view from all three levels. The photos simply do not do it justice. The bed in the master suite was a California king, and is very comfortable-we slept like babies. The cabin has plenty of parking, and has wood floors and paneling throughout, with full baths on the sleeping floors, and a half bath on the main floor. The hot tub was the perfect temp for those cool fall nights, and we enjoyed a fire in the firepit on the deck while soaking under the stars. Super romantic!
Being back in the real world now, we miss the solitude at Hidden Cove immensely...we especially miss having our morning coffee on the deck, and listening to the Canadian geese out on the lake. If you are looking for a quiet lake retreat, don't pass up this cabin!

Great moderate sized and priced cabin on the lake. Leaf colors were outstanding this year. Highly recommend this cabin and Watauga Lake.
