Its location on a quiet side street close to the Market Place in this historic town is convenient for pubs, restaurants, local shops, parks and the theatre, as well as for touring the wonderful walking country, pretty villages and stately homes of the surrounding Peak District National Park.

Farriers is located on Buxton’s oldest street – you can hear the bell of the nearby 17th century St Anne’s Church on Tuesday evenings (but thankfully not at crack of dawn on Sundays!). The access-only lane is at the heart of the historic Higher Buxton area, just a few minutes’ walk from the Market Place with its Tuesday and Saturday stalls, good restaurants and excellent real ale pubs. A pleasant stroll through the gracious, newly-restored Pavilion Gardens takes you to the centre of Georgian Buxton with its elegant Crescent, Thermal Baths shopping area and stunning Edwardian Opera House. The house has private off-street car-parking and is very convenient for Buxton railway station with through trains to Manchester, one of Europe’s liveliest modern cities, less than an hour away.
