Additional Location Information
“Sun, surf, relaxation and creativity – all of these are synonymous with the name Byron Bay, a laid-back tourist mecca that's one of Australia's top destinations for local and overseas visitors looking to experience a heady mix of beachy indulgences, cultural intrigue, and some of the best nightlife our vast country has to offer. Captain Cook thought it was worthy of a visit way back in 1770 and for decades now many writers, artists, filmmakers and other creative individuals have made Byron Bay their home. Is it time you discovered the delights of Byron Bay? Byron Bay may have a population of around 30,000, but in summertime you'll be forgiven for thinking that it's twice that. While relatively balmy enough all year around, Byron Bay becomes nothing less than a tourist idyll in the summer months.”

The house was full of old world charm with a modern twist, the recent renovation was in keeping with the character of the home but failure to detail caused injury.
The wedding morning was ruined when I was injured on the back veranda when I took a cup of coffee out to my daughter. Unfortunately the rotten floor boards gave way and my foot went through causing my new shoes to be ripped. Of greatest distress was the aggravation to my lower back that caused me to seek medical attention for numb toes and back pain that lasted weeks. The owners replaced my shoes as I refused to accept a free nights accommodation. Read more
As this guest explained this house is an old heritage house which has been renovated to retain the true character of this beautiful home. This accident was indeed unfortunate and was caused by a rotting joist underneath a back section of the rear deck. We immediately had the deck repaired and other sections examined for any further potential issues.
We did attempt to offer compensation in forms of some free nights etc. This houses is truly a beautiful character filled home and we get many positive responses fro our guests who stay here.
We are truly sorry for any suffering this unfortunate incident may have caused.
family friendly, hard to fault, lots to enjoy

well furnished rooms, roomy and very well-equipped kitchen, many useful appliances (e.g. iPhone-compatible speakers, quality lounge room stereo, large LCD tvs, cordless phone and big Weber BBQ), spacious deck with huge umbrella, comfortable sofas and armchairs, sumptuous garden, convenient keyless entry system, and very well located near the beach and a wonderful cafe.
it's somewhat astonishing to find a large sauna and vichy shower on this property. the fact that hot water isn't available in the latter results in a final score of 4.999 stars out of 5.
