Avoca Beach, AustraliaBlown away
Left on 05/11/2013 for a stay in May 2013
We decided to Honeymoon in Byron rather than abroad for family reasons and were resigned to the fact that such a choice would inevitably mean compromising on luxury and romance... how wrong we were! From the entry, to the pool, to the spa, to the bedroom, to the bathrooms, outdoor shower, kitchen, living or basically anywhere in the villa for that matter, the sense of luxury is overwhelming. If you cant feel the love here then I doubt you could feel it anywhere. Kerry was warm and welcoming and her efficient run down on the workings of the villa was a refreshing change to the often patronising list of instructions found in many holiday rentals. We failed to uncover a single oversight through out our entire stay.
It was an absolute pleasure spending the week at amala and we will be returning any chance we get. Enjoy. -

Left on 04/28/2013 for a stay in April 2013
We stayed here for a special occasion. The villa is luxurious and though we love Byron we wanted to spend as much time as possible in the Villa, given its fantastic facilities, particularly pool and heated spa. Highly recommended for couples

Left on 01/27/2013 for a stay in January 2013
We stayed here for a week in January 2013 and could not have been more satisfied with our stay. The amala Villa not just met but exceeded all of our expectations.
Tucked away approximately 10 minutes walk from the beach and town centre, the Villa is the perfect escape for young couple and old couple alike. Pool and Spa are great and rooms are cool and luxurious. Don't feel obliged to leave the villas at all. Take advantage of the cooking facilities and make yourself breakfast daily.
While in Byron, try a nice breakfast at the Bay Leaf Cafe in town and take the tortuous but still rewarding walk up to the lighthouse for some of the best views in town.
Will be sure to return again. -

Brisbane, AustraliaSooo sad to leave, booking a week next time!
Left on 11/22/2012 for a stay in November 2012
Omg omg omg! Seriously this place should be on everyones bucket list, after staying here for 2 nights I need a new bucket list, because 2 night were not enough. You really do lose yourself here, from the beautiful music in all rooms to the amazing spa, pool and water features, the warm spa was perfect at night and the byron bay coffee and macadamia museli delish in the morning, I love the echo friendly villa and all of the beautiful woodwork. I could go on for ever however I don't want to spoil the suprises! My last comment is this "if you are wondering if this place is for you, don't waste any more time wondering, if its a honeymoon or a special weekend book it! But try to stay more than 2 nights!

ACT'A Peace from Heaven'
Left on 07/17/2012 for a stay in July 2012
Thankyou Kerry for providing ' A Peace from Heaven' - Amala Villa.
The service Kerry provided was more than I expected beginning with the initial booking, showing me around the Villa and to checkout time. I was made to feel welcome and felt completely 'at home'.
The Villa has all the ambience of Bali with even more. When closing the double Balinese wooden doors behind me, the world I knew no longer existed and I entered into a space that was peaceful, relaxed and spiritual. After a guided tour of the villa by Kerry, I realised that everything I was hoping for plus more was at my fingertips, even to a very sumptuous 'Welcome Hamper' full of fresh fruits, cheese, crackers and champagne.
Every detail to make my stay even more comfortable was provided. The surroundings, the Balinese decor, private pool and spa, Balinese robes, very comfy four poster king size bed, outside shower (fabulous), ambience lighting to even a heated towel rack and heated floor tiles. A space where one can relax and just 'Be'.
The main shops are far enough away but within walking distance if required and depending on which Sunday of the month, the Byron Bay Markets.
I highly recommend an 'indulgence' at the Buddha Day Spa to complete ones stay but book ahead so as not to be disappointed.
For those who are looking for peace and quiet to leave the stresses of everyday living behind for a few days - I found what I was looking for plus more at amala Villa and I will definitely be staying there again.
Again Thankyou Kerry for providing 'A Peace of Heaven'.

BrisbaneEscape life for a few days!!
Left on 06/11/2012 for a stay in June 2012
My partner and i booked here in the hope of finding some reprieve and the ability to recharge from what has/was an hectic period in our professional lives. With intentions of exploring Byron, we couldn't bring ourselves to leave amala and spent the weekend in a total bliss, ordering in food and generally only moving from pool to spa to day bed and back again. To top it off, this was the most comfortable bed i have ever slept in. We'll be staying again!!

Left on 01/25/2011 for a stay in January 2011
Amala Villa is a wonderful and truely peacful place to stay. Hidden in the back streets of byron bay, these balinese inspired villas are one place youll remember staying for the rest of your life. From the ease of check in to the pleasure of using the plunge pool and spa whilst sipping on champange and eating local fruit and nuts supplied on arrival it really is a relaxing escape perfect for romantic couples or that small family getaway. If the Byron bay beaches weren't so beautiful there be no need to leave your villa.

Left on 01/18/2011 for a stay in December 2010
Wow! Everything in this gorgeous Villa was thought of and well catered for. It was like someone had anticipated your every whim and desire and rolled them into one perfect location. You can stay in and dine in luxury, swim in your very own private pool/spa, surrounded by tropical gardens and the outside world ceases to exist.
The picnic hamper was abundant and delicious, delivered to our door, and the breakfast hamper was full of delicious goodies, already unpacked and in the fridge for our arrival.
Music, board games, movies, books and magazines are all in the Villa for those lovely rainy or lazy afternoons.
The large bed was extra comfy, and under the canopy, you feel very spoilt. -

I had put off taking some very much needed rest and rejuvenation and my only regret - is that I waited so long to take it! The choice of amala as my home away from home, was a perfect choice. The total privacy and peaceful surroundings meant I could just kick back in the spa and warm myself by the pool and do very little else... just heaven!!!
I will be back to soak up some more bliss and quiet luxury, thank you : ) -

Melbourne AustraliaAbsolutely beautiful!
Left on 07/10/2010 for a stay in May 2010
Amala Villa in Byron Bay is the most beautiful, secluded place to get away and unwind from life's daily stresses and you can tell has a desire to provide its guests with an experience to remember. The attention to detail is a testament to just how truly special the villa is along with the thoughtful little touches such as cook books, Balinese robes and well equipped pantry. Usually photos on websites do not accurately represent what you get, we found our villa even better. We loved the privacy of having our own pool heated pool and spa and this makes this villa a must to stay in if you are looking for a romantic getaway, a piece of silence, or if you want to indulge in luxury and the experience of a Balinese style villa. While not being right in town, the location was good, close enough to walk to town. Kerry, the owner, greeted us with a genuinely warm welcome and was always available if we needed her but otherwise left us to ourselves – perfect! It’s worth a visit to Buddha Gardens Balinese Day Spa adjacent but I suggest booking before you get there as it is popular. Next time we will be staying longer than 3 days! -
