Cabanas is a wonderful small fishing village with everything you need. A walk to the "Salinas" (salt-pans) over the wooden bridge makes it worthwhile for bird watching and offers various species of birds. Good portuguese wine, sea-food and fish specialities are part of the delicious gastronomy of this region. One of the famous and typical dishes are the “conquilhas” a seafood juicy taste of the sea and is caught at the beach. You will also discover a traditional handicraft with unique products.
Cabanas Island is part of a group of islands characteristics of the Eastern Algarve with crystal clear and warm waters that distinguish by a high level of quality. The Ria Formosa Natural Park that separates them from the coast has a fascinating ecological wealth. This apartment have 2 free bicycles you can use to enjoy that natural environment.
Also excellent for Sport lovers. Horse-riding, water-sports, tennis, fishing, bird-watching, etc. are all offered in close vicinity.

Additional notes from owner
The apartment that we rent is privately owned, although enjoy the facilities and services of the Resort. Check-in is at reception of the Golden Club where wristbands are delivered free access to all facilities and private parking space that protects it from the usual difficulties of parking.
The apartment has the reference Sunset that are top of the range of the Resort. Is framed in the group of buildings of more recent construction in this holiday complex. The cleaning and treatment of linen and towels is provided by qualified professionals. We change it twice a week. Cleaning service once a week. These are the benefits that are already included in the rental. Required an advance and the rest of the payment is on the arrival at the apartment. We love pets and accept them however there's a fixed extra fee of € 20.

Cabanas is a very pleasant village plenty of good restaurants ("Monteiro", for instance). Sevilha is not far. The appartment is a big one, good for 3-4 persons, and the owner is very professional and gentle. One of the best resorts we frequented.

Poli amenities. Beach by 2 minutes (boat). A few kilometers from the center of Tavira, a very nice and ancient city.

We rented this apartment at carnival and we loved it. Modern decoration, with all the amenities needed even for our 2 years-old child (bed, chair, special towel, etc). The facilties of the resor are really great, big swimming-pool (outside) and a nice indoor one. Very nice restaurants with fresh fish at Cabanas village. The owner also gave us good tips of "dos" in the surrounding area. Sevilla is 2 hours distance by car.
This is one of the new apartments of the resort, be careful because there are some older ones probably with an inferior quality.
Quiet zone, not recommended for young people looking just for agitated nightlife.
