Situated in the quiet fishing village of Cabanas, near Tavira, this spacious apartment is perfect

for either family or golfing holidays. The stunning Cabanas beach is just a short walk along

the boardwalk where you can drop in on one of the many restaurants offering wonderful local

cuisine or just enjoy the view of the estuary over a drink in one the bars and cafes.

However if your holiday is more golf focused you are just 10 minutes drive from 3 great

courses with many more including the renowned Monte Rei within 20 minutes drive. The apartment itself is located within a secure complex with a large terrace offer...ing views of

the communal gardens and direct access to the shared pool. With 2 good sized bedrooms and

2 bathrooms (1 en-suite) the open plan designed apartment is decorated to a high standard but

with a comfortable and relaxed feel which is ideal for family living. The fully air conditioned

apartment also comes with underground parking which is invaluable in high season.

Apartment Description

The Main bedroom comes with a double bed plus space for cot (which can be provided upon

request), fitted wardrobe and en suite bathroom whilst the second bedroom comes with twin

beds and a further fitted wardrobe.

There is an additional bathroom with shower and w/c and then within the main living area

there are two sofas, of which one is also a sofabed, and there is also additional storage in the

hall. There is also a large dining table which can sit up to 6 (plus access to a high chair), a

coffee and side table, 32” flat screen TV and DVD player.

The kitchen comes fully equipped with a cooker and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher,

microwave, toaster, kettle, iron and ironing board and kitchen utensils. There are also sliding

patio doors onto the terrace where the washing machine is situated.

Outside there is a large terrace which catches the sun for most of the day and has direct access

to the share pool, it is already furnished with a large table and 6 chairs.Read more

Location
The apartment is located approx 5 minutes from the sea front where local fishing boats take
people to the 3km unspoilt beach of cabanas. The boat costs approx euro 1.20 return and there
are parasols, beds and jet skis for hire. There are also changing and showering facilities on the
beach as well as a cafe bar. A short drive (10 minutes) down the road will bring you to Manta
Rota where you can park and walk on to the beach. There are two good restaurants on the
beach which serve fresh local fish and traditional dishes.
Cabanas is only 35km from Faro International Airport and a few kilometres from the Spanish
border. Car hire is not essential as there are train and bus links but is recommended to fully
explore the region.
The town of Tavira, about ten minutes by car from Cabanas is recommended for its historical
past, Roman architectures, medieval castle, 38 historic churches and its four beautiful bridges
spanning the Gilão river dividing the town and allowing for spectacular riverside life with
restaurants, cafes and public gardens.

Please note that we ask all guests to vacate the apartment by 10am on day of departure and arrivals can not use the apartment before 3pm (although luggage can be left in the apartment from 10am). We may be flexible on these times if there aren't any arrivals/ departures on the same day.

  Myself, my husband and our 8 month old daughter stayed at this apartment for two weeks in May. The apartment is lovely and modern with plenty of space for at least 4 adults plus children. It was well equipped with everything we could have wished for. The lovely large terrace had great views of the pool.
  The apartment is just a few minutes walk from a large variety of restaurants and bars which offer a good selection of food, we had some particularly lovely sea food during our stay. Cabanas beach is beautiful and reached by a taxi boat trip taking less than 1 minute.
  Overall I would highly recommend Cabanas as a location, we found everyone to be very friendly and accomodating and it felt like a very safe area. The apartment is the perfect base for a lovely family holiday!

  Brilliant apartment only 5 minutes from the beach

  Four of us with two children stayed in this apartment last year. It is a virtually new apartment with plenty of room and all the amenities you would expect to find. It has a nice outside terrace where you can sit and have drinks and the sun catches it virtually all day.
  The apartment itself is less than 5 minutes from the beach and a wide range of restaurants that serve as well as the normal fish you would find in Portugal a range of other cuisines.
  The beach itself is reached by a ferry that takes a couple of minutes to reach and costs 1€ there and back. The beach has a bar where you can get food and drink. The beach itself is long and sandy.
  In the area are many golf courses which are considerably cheaper than the Western algarve courses and as the Spanish border is only 20 minutes away you can play the courses in Spain as well. There are several beaches a short drive away from Cabanas, all with sand and no stones and all with quality restaurants. I would highly recommend this place for a holiday and we found it much cheaper than the Western alagarve or Spain as well as less crowded.
