Casa Amber is a newly remodeled 2nd floor unit at Ocean Dream Resort (3 floors total) in Cabarete. There are two bedrooms each with their own bath. Located just about in the center of Cabarete in a secure, gated development at the beach. Plenty of offstreet parking and a commercial plaza with restaurants, shops, pharmacy, etc. Within a short walk are many other restaurants of all nationalities including french, belgium, mexican, german, japanese and more. Close to everything, but its own perfect oasis.

Stayed at Bob and Pats condo with my daughter and son for a week and had a wonderful time. Bob and Pat were very helpful with transport from the airport and helped us get initial items from the supermarket. The condo is extremely nice, well appointed and has all the mod cons you need. Mid week cleaning lady was a nice suprise. The beach is only a minute or two walk and is beautifull. Outside pool area very nice and private, and the condo balcony wonderful for morning coffee. Enjoyed our stay and would recommend the condo, thinking of going back!

Ocean Dreams was more than we expected. The condo was clean, spacious, well-appointed and located perfectly within the hamlet of Cabarete. Our children loved having the beach and pool within a few steps of our door, and both were clean and well maintained. Cabarete center, with abundant restaurants, bars, and all sorts of shopping possibilities, was only a few minute's walk down the beach. There are some shops and restaurants just outside the complex where you can get great Mexican and Indian food. We felt safe and secure on the beach, in town and certainly inside the complex. The beach is spectacular and provided my children with hours of entertainment.
We Loved our stay in Cabarete, we will return !

Pat and Bob met us at the airport, exchanged dollars for pesos, and stopped for groceries in Sousa on the way to the condo, with advice on prices and what to buy. All very much appreciated. Pat was exceptional in her attention to our every need, from replacing a hairdryer to checking in to ensure all was well.
The condo was exactly as described on their website and was soon our home away from home. It was very clean with every amenity you could need and more, from comfortable beds, free wifi, lots of quality towels, free phone service to Canada etc., etc. Exceeded our expectations in every way.
The location couldn't better, just minutes to the beautiful beach, close to restaurants and bars as well as small grocery stores which carried anything we needed. The complex was quiet, safe and very well maintained.
We walked everywhere, including longs walks on the beach every day. The weather was amazing during our stay, overall our best vacation yet. Hope to be back next year.

I spent the month of November enjoying Bob and Pat's condo and loved it. I was joined by various family members throughout the month, and everyone had a wonderful time. The condo complex is centrally located, close to all the restaurants and shops in Cabarete, yet is extremely quiet and private. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and were able to assist with all our requests. The condo itself is equipped with everything you need and more! The hosts, Bob and Pat, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable and hassle-free. We're already planning our next trip!

We stayed for 11 days in this clean, confortable and well provided 2 BR unit in Ocean Dreams. Convenient to the beach and beachfront restaurants and bars with more of the same on the main road including groceries banks, etc. I are already planning to return next year.

Pat provided helpful info via email for my first stay in Cabarete, but it was beyond my expectations that she exchanged USD for me so I could buy groceries when I arrived. P&B; picked me up for the same cost as a taxi, and took me to get groceries before heading to their impeccably clean condo.
Thoughtfully, some basics were provided-like detergent. Kitchen is well stocked.Plenty of towels and hot water. A/C units, TVs worked well. My bed was comfortable with a memory foam top.
There were two beach chairs for our use. When we had trouble with WiFi, Pat was over in a jiffy to fix it. Appreciated the free phone service to Canada.
A power failure in Cabarete did not affect Ocean Dream due to a generator.
Lovely pool and the beach only seconds away with fabulous waves!We felt safe walking on the beach day or night to the nearby restaurants.
We had delicious grilled shrimp and lobster, fresh salads, juices, and drinks at places like Eze, Papi's, Tropicoco. Organic coffee, brownies and Mochas at the Cabarete Coffee Co. Fish tacos at Gordito's and Kite Club Café.
No need for high heels in Cabarete.
Beach vendors are friendly when you barter or buy nothing.
Gua gua is the cheapest way to travel if you will sit with 22 people in a van meant to hold 8. We used P&B;'s driver a few times - a reliable gentleman. Never tried the motorcycle taxis, since we value our lives. The street is noisy and diesel fuel keeps you from taking deep breaths, but once inside the OD complex, it's peaceful, well-manicured and very secure.There is a safe in the condo, but we had no concerns.
A market and a money exchange are nearby.
Lek school is excellent and stress safety with fun.They let us use their chairs and drink their water for free.
We spent a rewarding morning with the Dominican Feed the Kids organization (dominicanfeedthekids.com). You can volunteer with them to see how the other half lives.
I highly recommend using this condo.Thanks Pat and Bob for all the extra care you provided! -

Excellent in every way. Comfortable and clean furniture, utensils and pots/pans were in near excellent condition. Owners were very responsive to any questions or needs. The grounds and pool were impeccable including daily garbage pickup. There's an authentic effort and pride in keeping these condos in tip-top status. The Ocean Dream staff and service personnel were always available with courteous interaction. We absolutely would encourage those who seek the ocean & beach just feet away and who want to relax in a condo with all the amenities available.

the apartment is well located nearby the big Cabarete beach. December is a period for strong waves, windsurfing is challenging ! The property is well equipped and cleaned twice a week. Pat & Bob were helpful in providing advice for our stay (shops, activities). The leaflet is well done and is helpful : if you need a car, call Louis and they'll bring the car downstairs 30 minutes later for $45 a day. The swimming pool was colder than the sea which helped to go the beach more often. We didn't try many restaurants from the beach but there is plenty of choice. I recommend the 'pollo carbon' you can buy from the other side of the road for 300 pesos. I recommend this property. the apartment is well located nearby the big Cabarete beach. I traveled with my girlfriends for a ladies week away. We had never traveled to this island, we were very impressed. The condo was beautiful. We were safe at night to travel the beach or main road to go to restaurants and evenings out. Pat and her husband were very attentive but we never had to call them during our stay, but we knew they were only a phone call away. The condo was excellent for four girls. The pool we enjoyed every day, and of course the beautiful beach was a daily occurence. I would go back again. In fact some of my friends are going back to Ocean Dreams this fall. It is in a perfect location for everything,shopping, swimming, and eating. This is our second tiime finding a rental from Home away, and it has worked out perfect each time.

We spent 10 days at Pat and Bob's condo. The grounds are totally safe and beautifully landscaped, the gate and maintenance staff are very pleasant. The property is meticulously maintained and looks terrific. The apartment is furnished with high quality equipment, furniture and appliances. It is very spacious, with a lot of light, a huge covered balcony overlooking the private swimming pool. It is very well ventilated and we never needed the aC (which works perfectly if needed). People in the complex are very friendly, and it never feels crowded. The
mexican and sushi restaurants right at the door were very nice and very convenient. The back of the complex is on the beach in the Kite Surfing area. Walking to the first restaurant is less than 10 minutes, to the other and of the beach about 15 minutes. Pat and Bob the owners live in town and were very helpful with tips on stores, restaurants, taxis and local contacts. They even picked us up and took us shopping on our arrival day. We never needed a car, and walked back and forth to town or the beach several times a day. -

Amazing condo. Very comfortable, 2 bedrooms, a full kitchen, luxury details. Very nice feel in the unit, even on rainy days, it was good to stay indoors and enjoy it.
Our two daughters, ages 22 and 27 stayed with us and had an amazing time. We were not sure if the would.
Pat and Bob were there for us from the day we rented it, dealing with us on line, making a deposit, etc. etc. It would be hard to trust someone so far away, specially in the Dr.
They met our expectations and more. We speak Spanish, and this was our 2nd back to back week in the DR. but they offered to help with instructions, references, etc.

Visiting the kids of my husband that live over there with their mum, we stayd in Pat and Bob's condo! We couldn't have wished for anything better. The kids could come over and sleep with us whenever they liked. The condo was very well equiped with all you can think of. It's situated in the middle of a few complexes that are very luxureous and safe, surrounded by beautifull gardens.
The amazing beaches are just in front of you! Arriving on the beach to your right you'll find all kind of very nice restaurants and to your left you can walk for hours...so amazingly beautifull!!!
We very much enjoyed our stay and would be more than happy to come back to the condo as well as advising anyone to book it! (shouldn't be saying this because we'll not be able to book it anymore by beeing so positive) enjoy! -

I don't think you could do any better on Dominican Republic's beautiful North Coast. Pat and Bob know how to do make you feel comfortable. This is a well furnished luxury condo at a very reasonable price. Pat and Bob made sure everything was taken care of including maid service right before we arrived and in the middle of the week as well. The condo is in the middle of everything - the beach, nice restaurants - I recommend the breakfast at Dick's Bakery - as well as the shopping in Caberete Center. The development the condo is in features a beautiful private pool as well. We will be back.

Pat and Bob went above and beyond anything we could have expected. The condo was gorgeous and the location is perfect. You can walk down the beach to dinner or into town to shop in a matter of minutes. The restaurants on the beach move their tables out on the beach at night so you can literally eat under the palm trees and next to the water. I would recommend visiting Cabarete. We will be back and will definitely stay in Pat and Bob's condo again when we do.

We were a group of 6 and rented out this apartment for a week and it was
amazing. Not only was it the cheapest deal we found (even cheaper than
hostels as we split the price between the 6 of us), but the location and
apartment itself were terrific. The apartment is decently sized, and fits 6 people
perfectly for a week. It's very well finished and has commodities such as high
speed internet, a generator to get electricity even when the power cuts, access
to a swimming pool, an equipped kitchen etc. I don't usually stay at places like
Ocean Dream -- I typically try to go for local and cheap youth hostels but it was
a great and inexpensive change -- I highly recommend the place! -

The pictures simply do not and cannot give justice to this beautiful setting which, fortunately, was not at all affected by the tragic earthquake in Haiti. Pat and Bob are fantastic people and made sure we were well taken care of both by answering our questions pre-trip and by being available during it as well. My husband was in heaven because a 5 minute ride got him to Encuentro -- a very hot surf break. The local people are very nice and truly get have a resort-town mentality -- they want you to enjoy your visit. The condo is very nicely appointed, beautifully decorated and the beds are very comfortable. Even the landscape is exquisite (lush tropical, orchids!). The pool is right in front of the condo unit and the beach adjoins the complex --a quick walk down the driveway gets you there in 2 minutes (best of both worlds). My favorite part was sipping the local El Presidente beer and eating local fare (a delicious pilsner) from a lounge chair on Bozo/Cabarete Beach - a very short walk down the beach from the condo. Our girls (8 and 10) loved body surfing and shopping right on the beach for local jewelry. The highlight for them was having their hair braided. That same beach is a nightime hot spot for delicious and inexpensive dinners -- our picky eaters loved it. My parents came too and stayed in the condo next door and absolutely loved it as well. They spent most of their time reading on the beautiful veranda overlooking the pool. We were warned to do an all-inclusive and I'm so glad we didn't. Can't wait to book it for same time next year!

We stayed at 106 Kite Drive in the Ocean Dream Condo complex. We rented through Pat and Bob K of RE/MAX Coral Bay Realty and were greatly impressed with their professionalism and help. They could not be more willing and able to insure our comfort and answer all our questions before and during our vacation. They directed us to best places to eat, visit, exchange money, grocery shop, etc. They were always available to answer questions.
The 2 bedroom unit we rented was spotless and elegant and had all the amenities expected from a first class hotel/condo. The building we stayed in consisted of 12 units in two buildings surrounding a pool---very private. A short walk took you right to the ocean, right in the midst of the kiting and windsurfing areas of Cabarete. This is really the best part of the main beach in Cabarete---right on Bozo Beach where all the kiting and windsurfing action is. One drawback was there were no chairs to sit on right in front of the condos, but a 5 minute walk took you to an area where you could rent two lounges and an umbrella for under $10 daily. The ocean water was phenomenal for swimming and body surfing. The water temperature in December was in the 80's. Rental opportunities for sports equipment (kiting, windsurfing, boogey boards, surfing) were plentiful. A 5 minute walk along the beach brought us to a plethora of casual beach-side open air restaurants. We felt very safe and secure in the apartment and the area. Would love to return! -

The best place in Cabarette; great for families with smmall childrens. My litle girl, she is five years old, she has a lot of fun at the pool and also we can see her from our balcony.
The apartment is beutiful and full of comfort..look at the pictures is even better and as a plus we can connect to the internet without problems.
We love the place and we are looking for reservations ne xt year.

We had a thoroughly relaxing vacation. The condo had all the home utilities you required and more. The condo was clean, well presented and you were nicely welcomed with a bottle of wine and personally addressed letter(nice touch).
Each set of 6 condos has it's own pool and bbq area so no mass bombarding of the pool.
The condos were well secured with security at all entrances of the complex plus at each set of 6 condos.
The best thing about the condos were they were right on Cabarete beach. A lovely sprawling beach offering restuarants, kite boarding, surfing or just a quick swim.
The restuarants are reasonably priced and the food is good. The restuarants in the evening open up onto the beach with lounge like chairs and bean bags. -

What a great place to stay. Convenient to both the town and the beach. A
short walk to an unbelievable stretch of sand and surf. Access to plenty of
food and drink right from the beach, with a big choice in types of food.
Watching the kite surfing was amazing as well.
The condo itself was very comfortable, had a nice pool and porch to relax
on. We had our teenage daughter and her friend as well, and the ability to
have a separate bedroom was a blessing. Fully equipped kitchen made
breakfast a treat, but we chose to eat our dinners out, as the selections in
Cabarete were abundant, and we were only staying a week. Security for the
condo was a plus as well.
All told, I would return to this resort and stay in this condo again. There
were truly no negatives about our stay. The owners were responsive,
answered all of our questions, and were available while we were there to
help with any concerns during our stay. They were wonderful to deal with,
and I would gladly rent from them again. -

We stayed in Cabarete because it is one of the few places in the Dominican Republic that it is not all inclusive. Ocean Dream Beach was just a few steps away from the beach with all the ammenities and comforts that you have at home. The place is big, clean, modern and has everything that you can possibly need. Pat makes sure that you receive a nice welcome to her place, surprising you with local coffee, rum and beer. We even found a new bag of ice waiting at our arrival.
The beaches in Cabarete are ideal for those who are looking for adventures and are willing to surf, kite surf or even sail. There are a variety of restaurants along the beach where you can have a good meal and enjoy a cold beverage and even dancing if you are into that.
We will definitely go back to Cabarete and will stay again at Ocean Dream Beach.
