This was our 3rd trip to CP and staying at El Encanto, it is always a wonderful experience and so relaxing. In the past it has been my wife and I staying in the Vista Suite but had more family members meeting us there this year so we had the whole enchilada. From the property itself to the ease of booking and working with the owner to Karl and Kimmi who take care of the property, you wont go wrong staying here.

My girlfriend and I stayed in the upstairs suite. All other suite were empty so it was extremely quiet. The suite was great and very comfortable. The patio is as big as the inside which for Cabo is a fantastic feature. Makes watching sunset and sunrise a real treat! I have stayed at other places in Cabo Pulmo before and on my 6th visit, I decided to change and what a gem I found. This will be my go to place in the future.
Also the beach gear provided (including snorkeling) was very good and of quality. -

We just spent 10 days in Cabo Pulmo for our honeymoon and it was fabulous! The house is wonderful! It was located close enough to walk to the beach and all the restaurants in town but quiet and relaxing. The house is well equipped with everything you need to cook meals and the outdoor seating is fabulous for dinners on the deck. The fans in the house make it comfortable to be in even when it is hot and they even have games/movies and books so that you can entertain yourself however you prefer. We will be returning to El Encanto, it was a beautiful house and not to mention the beautiful garden and art that is scattered throughout the property!

We came prepared to stay for a couple days after going to the local mini market. Greeted by a very nice local who happens to be your caretaker, gave us some good information. The local restaurants were family owned and clean and typically Mexican. We were not into diving and snorkeling this time around, so the town did not hold any thing special for us. All and all your house made the trip to Cabo Pulmo a very nice memorable experience.

...every view from inside or out is a work of art. The house and gardens are beautiful. So much more to see and enjoy than photos can show. You won't be disappointed!
A chorus of birds quietly sang for us every morning as well as visiting the numerous bird feeders around the property. The gardens are full of interesting plants.
I mostly staying in, investigating the gardens and artwork, watched a nice selection of foreign movies and just enjoyed the peace and quiet while my son went on scuba diving trips nearby.
The full kitchen, indoor/outdoor sound system, BBQ and nice linens added to our comfort. We left El Encanto relaxed and refreshed.
Don't miss out on this gem of a vacation home!

Six of us rented El Encanto to celebrate my daughter's 40th birthday in april. The house was amazing, comfortable, absolutely beautiful, full of art work and sculpture, hammocks, beautiful gardens, birds. The managers were totally accommodating and even baked a chocolate cake for the birthday girl! The library was full of good books and great movies. The top floor offers a fantastic view of the Sea, the town and the nearby mountains, and was a perfect place to observe the stars at night. Each of the three bedrooms offer unique amenities. It's a perfect place for relaxation, good food, diving, kayaking, fishing. We certainly plan on returning.

My husband and I spent 4 nights in the Vista Suite. It was beautifully decorated, with amazing views. We had a great time hiking, diving and relaxing on the beach. The only downside was a lack of a fridge, but the coolers were enough to keep out beers cold.

Absolutely loved it. It was the perfect bungalow for our stay in Pulmo, the design and decoration of this unit and the surrounding property was exactly what we wanted and exceeded our expectations, from the tile and artwork to the plants and metal sculptures. Hosts Karl and Kimmie where attentive to any needs you may have but you also felt they were not watching or overseeing you in any way. I would rent this unit again in a heartbeat and plan on making it a regular stop on our next trip to Baja Sur. Thanks again Rob, Diane, Karl and Kimmie.

Portland, ORThe Best Vacation of Our Lives...
Left on 04/16/2010 for a stay in March 2010
We just returned home from our stay at El Encanto, and are ready to go right back again!
We could not have designed the situation better ourselves: the empty beaches, the turquoise sea, the multitudes of beautiful fish, the gorgeous garden, the many colorful bird visitors, and of course the house itself. Rob & Diane have truly outdone themselves!
The home they've created at El Encanto is perfectly named: enchanting. The gorgeous colors, beautiful art, big comfy beds, fabulous kitchen, oversized hammocks, incredible garden... all of it blended to make a spectacular home base for our adventures in Cabo Pulmo! We used the bird books to identify our dozens of beautiful avian visitors, used the provided snorkeling gear every single day, played games every night, and listened to music on the indoor/outdoor sound system. We loved the 'escape to Mexico' theme of the video selection.
The home had just enough of 'the amenities', without ever pulling us back into the reality of our everyday lives. We quickly forgot all about the computer, cell phones and schedules...
The village of Cabo Pulmo was also a gem. We were so glad to get our rental car and leave the crowds and tourist shops of Cabo San Lucas behind--definitely not our style.
In Cabo Pulmo, the laid-back pace and friendly folks were just lovely. We snorkeled, rented kayaks, took a boat tour of the area, and hiked into the mountains, whenever we weren't lying on the virtually empty beaches... We also sampled many of the tiny family-run restaurants, and literally never had a bad meal. In short, it was amazing.
We are already planning for our next trip there...
Also, the neighbors who act as house hosts were really great: they were the perfect blend of 'available' and 'unobtrusive'. When we had some issue to solve, they were immediately responsive, but after making sure we were settled in, they left us alone. It was really great to know they were right up the road.
