Enjoy beautiful sunsets and direct ocean views from your 2 balconies at this new waterfront getaway. The ocean is directly in front of the condo about 20 steps away. Complex includes an adult pool and a childrens pool, outdoor BBQ, an 18 hole golf course, marina, tennis courts and playground. There is also a club house restaurant with excellent food. Dine at nearby ocean front restaurants in Cabo Rojo, which are known for their seafood and local cuisine. You can snorkeling in your backyard at Joyuda Beach. We returned to the same complex year after year. This owner was excelent, like the majority we rented from. The apartment is comfortable, the view excellent...the pool clean and beautiful.If you like to snorkle, well the beach is perfect for that!!!

Great condo apartment for up to 4 people near the best seafood restaurants in the Joyuda area. The apartment was clean and comfortable in a secure gated community with a golf course.
The pictures shown here are good representations of the property.
As to the beach, we ended up driving to Combate Beach, a few miles away, since this ocean front property only has a "grassy" snorkeling beach and shallow pool.
We tried to make the drive to "Playa Sucia" or Playa Playuela, which is a wonderful beach in a nature reserve at the southwestern tip of the island, but the road was so full of potholes that we decided to turn back. Next time, we'll rent a jeep.
The pool at the property was nice for cooling night swims. Because we stayed during the week after the start of school in PR, we had the pool all to ourselves.
Both bedrooms are air conditioned but the living room is cooled with a ceiling fan which worked fine, assisted by the cooling sea breezes coming in through the balcony.
There is a slow, but workable elevator as the apartment is on the 4th floor of the property.
The local property manager was very welcoming and gave us great dining tips: Mao's and La Puesta del Sol.
We would suggest that the owners add a journal so that visitors may leave behind their impressions and local tips. For example, you can pick up supplies and great fresh bread at Conchita's on the main road to Joyuda.
Only drawback to this property is that it takes about 5 minutes to go from the apartment to the main road. There are speed bumps every few meters due to the golf cart traffic and family-friendly character of the housing at the Club. Too many speed bumps Imho!Response from Arifa and Steve - 02/28/2012

There is a swimming area on the beach in front of the apt. Its a short walk to the left of the gate from the complex. Turn the corner and come to a roped off swim area which is calm.
The road to Playa Sucia or that is Las Salinas (beach near lighthouse in Cabo Rojo) is not paved towards the end but nevertheless is quite passable. We highly recommend going there as part of your vacation.
