An idyllic getaway hidden within the exclusive Punta Ballena

community, Casa Diamante sparkles with beauty and elegance.

At the entrance, a large pueblo-inspired bell gate and

traditional Spanish courtyard welcome guests to this grand

hacienda-style home.

The interior is absolutely stunning, with vaulted ceilings,

bricked rotundas, stone columns and elaborate niches

providing the strongest design elements. The beautiful

woodwork found throughout the home is accented by creme tile

floors and warm red, orange and yellow hues that feature

prominently in Diamantes decor. In the kitchen,... marble

countertops, rich cabinetry and a small cupola with

chandelier combine with functional design and top-quality

stainless appliances to create a very classic yet

contemporary space. Designed for entertaining, the living

and dining areas are open-concept and offer plenty of space

for family and friends to gather for a meal or relax in

front of the flat screen TV.

Each of the four bedroom suites at Diamante offer guests a

lovely private escape within this spacious villa. All rooms

feature ensuite baths, fine linens, and stylish decor that

fuses colonial-era opulence with the rustic charm of Old

Mexico.

Large recessed glass doors connect the indoor spaces with

the villas luxurious pool area. Complete with a wet bar and

grilling station, infinity pool, Jacuzzi, fireplace, cozy

sofas and lounge beds outdoor living at Diamante is

amazing, with panoramic views of the Cortez providing the

perfect backdrop for alfresco entertaining.

In addition to all the amenities at Casa Diamante, guests

also have access to the exclusive Punta Ballena Beach Club

which has a restaurant and bar, and an Oceanside infinity

pool surrounded by plush lounge chairs and more spectacular

  Rarely does the reality exceed the expectations in a rental property, but Casa Diamante is an exception...every little detail, from the finishs to linens to lighting, is superior...exquisite tilework, amenities that we take for granted in a rental at this price point in the U.S., like wireless, are not always a given in Mexico...figuring out the electrical re: outdoor lighting, hot tub, etc was a challenge, even the mechanical guy didn't have it right re:which switch ran what, timer vs. manual contol, etc, but these are minor inconveniences and figured out in a day or 2...layout of house is very privacy oriented, perfect for big families...some confusion on our part re: Punta Ballena and Esperanza relationship re: what is shared but in the end it doesn't matter...the little beach club steps down from the villa is nice, probably more used by those staying farther up the hill...the infinity edge to the villa's pool puts you in close proximity to the literally dozens of whales that passed by...we used the beach club primarily as a happy hour place and you do get more cooling sea breeze down there than up at the villa...put Leslie to work often (called her at 6:30am when I couldn't get a cab into Cabo to go fishing, she answered)and she was very helpful...recommend using her as even as americanized as Los Cabos is, still can be tricky navigating...had a chef's dinner one night at the villa that was exceptional...thanks to David Girard at SunCabo for steering me to this place and maximizing my vacation dollar...my original plan had us staying elsewhere where I would have spent another 5 or 6 thousand...one other note, although there is a beach down below, even though you're on the Sea of Cortez side, it's not a swimming beach, different from my understanding prior to arrival...don't know where I got that impression, maybe a call to Esperanza, maybe a conversation with Sun Cabo, but you have to travel some to find a swimming beach
