We looked for several months, trying to find the perfect house for my friends "special" birthday. This was it, from the moment she saw the pictures, nothing else compared. When we arrived, we were all truly amazed at how the place was even better than the pictures show. We truly had such an amazing time. We decided to go into town one afternoon, but got "home sick" so we quickly returned to our little piece of heaven. Absolute perfection!

The villa is in an area that is very quiet. There were ten of us ages 16 to 73 and all had a great time. There are so many areas around the property that you can relax and just be alone as well as some great places to gather. Such as the swim up bar, I think that was everyones favorite!
Only a few issues that I'm sure will be taken care of such as the pool lights.
Oh and I can't forget to mention the snake in the bathroom. My husband is very afraid of snakes and this really freaked him our. Better yet, at the airport as they were going through one of our bags a snake jumped out and freaked everyone at the cabo airport. Kinda funny.

The house was expansive and totally comfortable. Amazing pool and grounds on the sand. Complete white sand beach, pretty much your own.
House pretty removed from anything, and not really close enough to easily surf, you still have about a 20-30 minute drive to nearest surf spot.
Can't really swim at the beach, waves pound on the sand.
Can't not use both top and bottom air-conditioner at the same time because of solar power, makes it very hot for some.
Probably complaining too much, still very nice house, but I would not rent that again for my purposes. If you want to be pretty well alone and not bothered, rent it, and have the place stocked with food already. -

This home is one of only about 14 on a beautiful stretch of coastline on the East Cape of the Sea of Cortez. If you want privacy, quiet, an incredible setting and a beautifully designed home this is the place for you. I promise the view from the house will take your breath away!!
It's sits on a gorgeous beachfront lot with spectacular grounds and an incredible pool with swim up bar. It has many wonderful individual areas where you can sit at tables to whale watch or eat & couches where you can read or take a nap. Beautiful palapas give you plenty of shade too.
Although many of Cabos beachs are not safe to swim in, we felt this area, which is the Sea of Cortez, was pretty safe and quite a few people were in the water.
We did have issues with the pool not heating properly (our biggest issue since we were there in January), a few things needing repairs & the quality of the beds & linens. However, we have been told that the owners have spent many thousands of dollars to upgrade since our stay.
The home and setting still exceeded our expectations and we had a wonderful time and would love to go back for another visit.
Take heed of the rental agency's warnings regarding the lack of safety regulations in Mexico though. Many areas, such as staircases, are very dangerous for little ones.
Another nice thing about this property is that you are still close enough to enjoy San Jose del Cabo. It was not much of a drive to go in for supplies (about 20 min.)& we loved going in for dinner at Habaneros.
There is also a great simple restaurant, Buzzards, about 6 houses down from the Casa which has great food & Margaritas. Take caution with the Margaritas-they are deadly even if they don't taste like it-and, Buzzards really does have the "Best Coconut Shrimp in Cabo".
Lastly, we thought the master suite was in the main house, but it was really in one of the Casitas. We loved sleeping in it and listening to the waves crashing -

Our family stayed at Casa del Costa Tranquilo in Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur. We arrived to a home not a "rental house". It was a wonderful secluded getaway. We were greeted warmly by Diego and two others with drinks, snacks, and traditional Mexican food. The Beach and water were beautiful. The home was excellently decorated with marble, stone and tile. It was very spacious with appointments through out. The ?care taker? was very nice and attended to our needs regarding computers, television, electricity and the like. The home was far enough away from the hassle of the city but not too far. We went on 3 excursions, outback, waterfalls and snorkeling. A good time was had by all. Thank you for the wonderful experience?
