      A wonderful place!

Left on 05/08/2013 for a stay in April 2013

Our family spent a wonderful week at Sunrise Villa in april. We have spent the past 30 years vacationing with our large group in the Caribbean, Costa Rice, and Mexico, and everyone felt Sunrise Villa was one of the best we have ever experienced.
The place is beautiful with spectacular landscaping, and the staff is excellent. Kevin and Chris are very helpful in planning, and Ramon was great.

When arriving at the Villa we were in awe at the beauty of the place. The grounds are meticulously landscaped.
The view is outstanding, and the luxury of sleeping with the doors and the windowns opened and the ocean breeze blowing in and the sound of the waves made for a very restfull sleep.
Chris and the rest of the staff were there to meet our family of 19 the minute the van pulled in, and from that moment on we were all spoiled for the rest of the week!
Frank, the chef, was a great cook and each meal was better than the last.
Ramon the bartender made the greatest drinks!
The beauty of Sunrise Villa, and the staff made it the best vacations I ever had!!

We took the virtual tour of Sunrise Villa in the States long before our departure with our group of 19. I can now assure you that as beautiful as the property appears it's far better in person. The grounds are stunning and the ocean view is gorgeous. The staff is not only excellent at attending to every detail, but more importantly, they are genuinely nice people. Thank you Chris, Tanya, Frank, Ramon, and the entire staff for providing us with the perfect setting for the vacation of a lifetime !

we just finished our family vacation april 20-27 2013 and we couldnot be happier. from the moment we walked in chris and the entire staff made us feel welcome and attended to all our needs and wants. the villa is beautiful the houses i wouldnt call them rooms were very clean spacious and comfortable we had 19 in our party with 7 being children rangeing from 5 months to 17 years old and there was more than enough space. the grounds were immaculate and the view was breathetaking the kids were able to explore on their own without worry. the food was outstanding with frank even making the occasional pb&j; sandwiche on reguest and with a smile. Ramone happily fixed whatever drinks the adults or even the children desired. Tanya was always there to help with anything especially off site fun we were lucky enough to have her accompany us to monkey jungle for a great day of ziplining. the 5 star rating is not enough the whole family agreed we would love to come back again

The Perfect Place to Get Married

Left on 02/24/2013 for a stay in January 2013

We had our wedding at the villa about a month ago now. I had read all the reviews on this website when we were choosing a location. I thought that the reviews were too good to be true. Boy was I wrong. Sunrise Villa was hands down the best place I have ever stayed.

We took 22 people to the villa. The overflow stayed next door. The staff was amazing. Our friends mention Ramon almost every time we have seen them since. Chris and Tanya were always quick to do anything we asked. One night one of our friends wanted to play beach volleyball. It was a little too dark. The next day the staff went into town and bought lights so we could play the next night. I don't think many of the reviews mentioned it but the hot tub is amazing. We spent several hours a day relaxing in the warm water while Ramon brought us drinks. It was set at just the right temperature to enjoy even in the Caribbean. The whole group could get in at one time.

We hate the idea of going back to the same place twice on vacation because there are so many great places to see, but we are seriously considering going back to the villa again next year.

      Absolutely top notch

Left on 02/23/2013 for a stay in February 2012

The previous reviews say it all and I concur 100% with them.

Sunrise Villas is a unique and beautiful property. It is private, spacious and comfortable. We visited for a week with 6 of our neighbors and the property seemed nearly abandoned with only 8 of us there. The photos do not do justice to the size of this property. The service can only be compared to the type of service you receive in a very high end restaurant except the staff is way more casual and at ease. You will see that they are truly genuine as well. Several staff members told me how they loved working at Sunrise Villas and had nothing but praise for the owner. It shows in how they take care of you. You will never stay at a traditional resort again after staying here, I know I don't want to!

I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Chris. He is the man. Chris is from Michigan and has lived in the DR for 16 years. You will feel like lifelong friends with him in about 3 seconds. He showed up every morning and whenever necessary to see if we needed anything and always delivered on our requests.

Keep in mind it is a 2 1/2 hour drive from Santo Domingo to the resort. However, I found the drive to be very scenic and went by fast. Compared to other resorts I've stayed at it's not an unreasonable distance. It's nearly an hour and a half from the Maui (OGG) airport to west Kapalua for example. We used a company called Prestige and they were flawless. I believe the van held 12 people. With 8 of us and our luggage we had lots of room. The cost was around $550 U.S. round trip.

Enjoy your vacation and tell Ramon we give him 10 "verys". He'll understand.

Spectacular family reunion at Sunrise Villa

Left on 02/08/2013 for a stay in December 2012

Our family held its family reunion - with 14 adults and 6 children - at the Sunrise Villa during New Year's week in December 2012. We had a spectacular time.
Property - the property is wonderful - it is a beach property in a perfect tropical location, and with a beautiful view of the atlantic Ocean. The main house and separate villas are very nice and clean, and the grounds are well manicured. That said, this is a beach property, so the environment is casual. The website indicates that men should have long pants and a collared shirt but we really didn't need them. One night the villa takes its guests to a nice local hotel for dinner (so the in-house chef can get some time off), but casual clothing was fine then as well. Although not a swimming beach, the beach at Sunrise Villa is a quick walk down the steps and it is just beautiful. The staff set up a beach volleyball net for us, which was great fun.
Management - Equally important, Sunrise Villa has a staff as good as any high end hotel property in the world and more friendly than any group of staff we've known. The manager and part-owner of the property, Chris, who is american but lives in DR, comes by each morning to help you with whatever you need. No matter what the request, Chris "knows a guy" and will arrange it for you. Tanya, who is from DR, manages the staff. Tanya speaks very good English as does Sandra, who helps Tanya, and as does Ramon, the bartender. So you have someone who speaks English from early morning until later in the evening. The chef, Frank, is great - good american or DR breakfasts, casual lunches and a variety of types of dinners. If you tell Chris that you want a certain type of food or ask for local suggestions, he will get it for you. We have some great - caught that day - seafood. We also had a whole roasted pig, which was great fun. The chef also made piaya (a big pan of rice with seafood and sausage). We had an excellent bon fire with great drink and dancing.

This is by far and away the best villa I have ever stayed in. Great scenery (complete with a view of whales spouting from our bed); fabulous home cooked food; wonderful rooms; lots of fun activities; interesting surrounding attractions and things to do; and, best of all, the nicest, most engaging staff and crew you could possibly hope for at a beautiful place like this. All in all, our stay at Sunrise Villa was like experiencing a week in our own little paradise in the Dominican Republic.

      Your Private all-inclusive

Left on 01/16/2013 for a stay in October 2012

My review is a bit overdue, however three months in the rear view mirror has not tempered my strong endorsement of this property, the house , the location, the staff, the weather, the view...

The moment the vans pulled up to the villa everyone looked at each other and said "no friggin way!". The drive from the airport was around 90 minutes maybe a little less. Vans met us at the airport and off we went with refreshments in tow.

The property is privately situated on 2 amazing acres of tropically manicured paradise. It rests on a bluff that overlooks the ocean with gorgeous views and breezes all day long. Each bedroom is either in its own bungalow or shares a bungalow. The rooms are tastefully decorated with all of the conveniences you need. Rooms are air conditioned, sofas pull out to beds if needed.

The pool is the large centerpiece to the back of the property. Lie there while your music plays through the outdoor speakers and Ramon makes your favorite beverage and brings it to you. Sit by the bar, the pool, the pool table, the in ground jacuzzi (it's massive) it doesn't matter. Ramon will take excellent care of you. You only pay for what you consume. Prices for cases of beer and bottles of liquor are very reasonable.

Tanya coordinates everything and does a fantastic job of making sure you have no worries. Every meal was prepared there by the cook staff and it was delicious. Freshly caught lobster and fish at every dinner with a local flavor to it was off the hook. Whether it was breakfast lunch or dinner, the staff prepared a buffet on par with anything you find in the U.S. at a nice hotel. There is no cleaning up, no going to the grocery store, no credit cards, nothing. The whole day is about relaxation and they deliver and then some.

You must experience the little town of Cabrera. What a little gem this place is. We stumbled upon a little beach bar called Manny's. The caparinhas were devilishly good. Manny made fried plantains that were awesome. We enjoyed Manny's so much we came back two more times including on the way to the airport on our departure. I recommend the walk to/from Cabrera. It is a good 20-30 minute walk but well worth it.

Playa Grande golf course is about a 20 minute drive. Tanya coordinates transportation to/from. Although the greens were a little rough, the layout and view are second to none. Enjoy having your own caddy and walking this beautiful course. The holes along the coast are postcard. Wish we would have played more. Bring your own golf shoes, gloves, balls. They have club rentals there.

Sunset Villa would be an ideal location for a family reunion or a group of friends who have talked about going to a special place without the kids. Look no further. Stay away from the large all-inclusives and enjoy the luxury, service, safety, and privacy of Sunset Villa. If We could give 6 stars we would. I do not think a weekend goes by without us talking about how we get back before next fall. I honestly cannot imagine having a better time than we did. Our group of 12 friends had a time we will never forget and a destination that will become our go-to place for years to come. Muchas Gracias a mis amigos en Sunset Villa. Nos vemos pronto.

      Paradise Found

Left on 10/15/2012 for a stay in October 2012

If you're headed to the Dominican you must stay here! For years our couples group (8-12 people in any given year) has taken an annual trip to the Caribbean. Previously we stayed at all-inclusives but this year wanted to try something different. This beautiful, oceanfront Bali-style resort hosted our best trip yet. Sunrise Villa offers a friendly, attentive staff, great food and amazing amenities including a huge pool, bar service (with awesome bartender Ramone) and private beach. While we were there to party it looked like a great place to hold a family reunion or wedding. The managers Chris and Tanya are american and Dominican respectively, so language is not a barrier and Tanya is the "fixer" who gets everything in-country done including the important task of getting you to and from the airport quickly and safely. The meals are prepared by staff member Chef Frank and consist primarily of Dominican-style comfort food such as freshly caught fish and great local fruit. The Villa even planned and catered an off-site beach lunch for us. You can walk to the nearby town of Cabera and visit Manny's beach bar which is a classic. A couple of guys in my party golfed and raved about the local oceanside golf course as well as the low prices. Sunrise's private guest quarters are very clean and roomy and most offer ocean views. There is indoor-outdoor dining, a TV room in the main house as well as a pool table and a great sound system to rock to. Finally, the Villa grounds are absolutely stunning. The place looks like a Dominican arboretum. If a leaf falls to the ground a groundskeeper almost literally darts out and scoops it up. If you're looking for a classy yet casual vacation experience, particularly with family or friends, you can't go wrong with Sunrise Villa.

      The Best of Both Worlds

Left on 09/17/2012 for a stay in September 2012

I don't quite even know where to begin. We just returned from our third visit to the Sunrise Villa and are already looking forward to our next trip back.

Sunrise Villa is the best of both worlds because you're staying in a luxurious sprawling villa inside a safe and secure development, while at the same time just minutes away from experiencing the heart of Dominican culture in the town of Cabrera.

In contrast we've stayed in resorts such as in Punta Cana, and have felt that we might as well be at any other resort on the beach. The location of Sunrise Villa really allows us to experience the Dominican Republic as we like to get out and about.

The beauty of it though is that there were other people in our group that would rather stick around the villa and relax - and they were completely content.

Another thing I love about this villa is that all 8 suites are spread out in 5 different buildings. We've rented beach houses before where all the suites are in the same building and it feels overcrowded and not very private. With Sunrise Villa, you have plenty of privacy, and then can congregate as a group at the pool, bar, and in the main house.

Finally, the staff is top notch. There's a big difference between renting a beach house and renting a fully staffed beach villa. We've done both and much prefer the fully staffed villa - especially the staff at Sunrise.

I can't recommend Sunrise Villa enough - which is why we definitely will be back before long for our fourth visit.

      Paradise!!

Left on 08/31/2012 for a stay in August 2012

I cannot say enough good things about Sunrise Villa- oh my gosh! From the moment we arrived at the airport- with VIP transportation arranged- we were completely catered to.

First of all, the property is beautiful! The rooms are spacious and absolutely gorgeous! There was plenty of room for three of us to be in one room- we had so much space! The main room is super cozy and comfortable and then of course, the pool and the hot tub are the icing on the cake. The grounds are well cared for and we felt totally and completely safe while we were there!

The staff is just amazing! Tania handled all the details including taking us to the aTM when we needed and making phone calls when we desperately needed (more on that in a minute). Ramon was like our own activities director and what a friendly, fun loving and awesome guy he is! Anything we wanted, we had- more coffee in the afternoon- done, pitchers of Rum Punch- done, dancing on the beach- done! I mean we couldn't have asked for anything better! The food was always yummy and plentiful! Oh and don't skip the chocolate ice cream- trust me!

When Hurricane Isaac hit, the Villa was completely safe and dry, but flights were not going to Miami as it was moving that direction. There were some moments of panic but Ramon made sure we had plenty of wine to keep us calm. We were going to be stuck for a few days, so Tania helped us arrange accommodations at a local hotel and even drove us there herself! The villa also made an extra lunch for us and bought us dinner at the hotel. Those little kindnesses meant everything to us when we were stuck.

We will definitely be back and absolutely enjoyed every single minute there! Thank you for your hospitality and extreme kindness! We will never forget how much you helped us!

A slice of tropical heaven, a piece of paradise!

Left on 07/31/2012 for a stay in July 2012

We have stayed at Mexican, Jamaican, and Costa Rican villas that were very nice, but Sunrise Villa tops them all. Where do I began, first Chris, the House Manager answered every question I had and made suggestions to me when I reached out to him via email prior to our arrival. I’m a little anal, but he was very gracious and patiently replied and answered each question. Chris is extremely knowledgeable about any and all things Dominican Republic!

Secondly, the Bali style bungalows and grounds were ideal. Everyone had their own little private nook and space for alone time to enjoy the scenery, yet the main house that houses the large outdoor covered terrace beside the Manna bar was where the group gathered together when we were not eating. The outdoor terrace overlooks the hot tub and pool, which makes it an outdoor great room where everybody can see and talk to each other, but be in different areas.

Thirdly, the service was great and the food was excellent and very plentiful. We were served lots of fresh seafood, fruits, and vegetables daily. Tanya, also a House Manager made sure everything was taken care of and that we had whatever we needed. The masseuse was excellent and did a great job. The grounds keepers were meticulous and on the job working daily shortly after sunrise. But, the person we all agreed was our favorite staff person was without a doubt Ramon. He had the most direct interaction with us; besides mixing the drinks, he played pool with the guys at night, cleaned up after us, explained in Spanish to the staff what we wanted and needed when they did not understand what we were asking. He hosted our bonfire and showed us how to toast our marshmallows without burning ourselves. But, the thing the makes Ramon the most special is he learned all our names! He even remembered our drink choices, and anticipated what we needed before we asked!

The other thing that makes Sunrise Villa so unique are the additional options that are included in the price. We were given lunch on Playa Grande beach. They provided transportation, and the local restaurants provided us with a hot lunch. We were able to swim and buy souvenirs from the locals selling jewelry, art, and statues. Additionally, you are provided dinner at Hotel Catalina. The restaurant was quaint and intimate with views of the mountains and ocean from an outdoor terrace. The food was good and we were allowed to order anything on the menu. Three courses were provided, appetizer, entrée, and dessert.

While visiting Sunrise Villa please take the horseback riding tour at Rancho Paraiso. My comments about the ranch will be under sightseeing. Yet again, Sunrise Villa goes out of their way to accommodate their guests. We took the 3-hour tour and because we would be gone during lunch they made lunch, packed a cooler with water, soda and beer, and a bag of beach towels.
We only have two small criticisms, the desserts were not great. The first night we had homemade chocolate cake that was very good. The next day we had a Carmel style pudding cake that is native to the DR, but our group did not like it, and another night we had store bought cheesecake that was not special. The other small issue we had was with the two cats that were always around. Two people in our group are allergic to cats, which was a problem mainly around meal times. That was primarily when they came around.

To close, Sunrise Villa gets 6 out of 5 stars from our group for, their service, Bali style design, immaculate grounds, lush tropical exterior, food, all the included options, but most importantly their staff!

      Effortless, magical and truly relaxing

Left on 05/29/2012 for a stay in April 2012

I could not write a more enthusiastic review for Sunrise Villa. Our stay was incredible from day 1 when we were met by 3 taxis at the airport in Santiago and driven to the resort. The casual elegance of the Sunrise villa is not at all captured on the site photos. It is really beautiful and so relaxing too. It was perfect for a large group of 11 adults and 12 baseball player kids. The location is great and they layout gave us plenty of room and privacy. There is a beach at the property but you are also a short drive to Playa Grande golf course and many other amazing beaches. The local ball field is a short walk. The staff at the villa could not have been more accommodating. They helped us organize outings, food, coolers for snacks, trips to town, massages, etc. throughout the week. Every morning hot coffee was waiting for us to take in the sunrise and every evening the blender hummed along making smoothies for the kids and drinks for the adults to have poolside. At the end of the week we were all changed for the better. Something about Cabrera and Sunrise seeped into us all. We cannot wait to return next year and for many years to come.

The pool and adjacent hot pool was perfectly designed so that all of us including the 3 year old, were able to enjoy its beauty and its refreshing waters, The pool was definitely the focal point of our activites. The common rooms were so comfortable and spacious for all activities (cocktail time; rummy-cube; reading; watching football on tv) that everybody could be doing something with or without each other. In fact, except for leaving to swim or snorkle at a few other beaches, and one night out "on the town" for dinner, we never felt the need to leave our "home." One note: the private beach was beautiful but not really meant for swimming because it was too rocky and there were sea urchins lurking in its depths. However, the bonfire on the beach with toasted marshmallows was a winner. When you wish to go to the lagoon or another swimming beach which are not more than 5-10 minutes away, the staff arranges for the transportation. The staff was spectacular. Everyone was warm and friendly and anxious to please. Chris, the manager was gregarious, fun to be with and so knowledgable, and Tonia who was in charge of the staff, saw to our every wish and need. The food was great...we even had a real thanksgiving dinner, and the kids were thrilled to know that snacks and juice were always available. Every appetite was served. To sum it all up: Sunrise Villa is an exceptional place and we would not hesitate to return and to recommend it for a most unique experience.

      Weekend Gateaway for a Wedding

Left on 12/01/2011 for a stay in May 2011

A group of us stayed at this villa for a wedding and we had a good time.

Pros - The rooms and ocean views were beautiful. The bed was very comfortable. The food that they prepared were very good. The massages were cheap and amazing. The price to go to the lagoons were very reasonable if a group of 4+ are going.

Cons - First, the first night that I arrived, housekeeping left the door to the outdoor shower open and it was raining hard for about an hour. When I went to my room, the room was infested with bugs and no staff were around to help that I had to sleep in my friend's room. Secondly, there were not variety of alcohol at the bar to choose from. Furthermore, the shower head in the tub was broken and the water temperature wasn't consistent, either very hot or very cold. Lastly, there are no keys to the rooms but if you all trust each other, your belongings will be fine.

I am sorry to say this group is the only one in our 10 year history that has been banned from returning. On their departure, the staff formally requested I not allow them back in for reasons too numerous to mention. This made for an ironic moment when, a very short time later, this group tried to re-book with us for a return trip!

Unforgettable Wedding Weekend @ Sunrise Villa

Left on 11/27/2011 for a stay in October 2011

My husband and I held our beach wedding at this Villa in October. The location, place, services and staff were beyond our expectations. The Villa is beautiful; the staff very friendly and accommodating. Everyone went the extra mile to make our wedding a perfect event and our guests happy.

The villa is cleaned and well maintained. The suites are wonderful and large. The villa is architecturally beautiful. The ocean front makes it a perfect place for beach wedding/event.

It was a pleasure working with Kevin (the owner); he provided us with valuable information about the Villa and answered all of our questions.

The wedding package and planner made everything easier for us. We held various calls with Silvia to discuss our vision and requirements. She worked locally with various groups (DJ, Priest, Florists, Entertainment), etc so that they could provide us with quotes and legal requirements. By the time we got to the Villa, she had coordinated meetings with required parties and ensured that all we had to do was finalized the payments and choose final arrangements/decorations. We highly recommend her.

We reviewed over a dozen villas in D.R., We definitely chose the perfect one for our beach wedding. The staff created the perfect canopy on the beach, the decorations were done to our taste & requirements. They went above the call of duty to get the flowers that we wanted by going to other cities to get them; they ensured that our vision came through.

Everyone loved the food & chef. Chris & Tania (Villa Managers) went out of their way to make sure we had everything we wanted or needed. The rest of the staff was also amazing, going out of their way to please us. Overall, we had an amazing experience and we would love to come back. This will be an unforgettable weekend in our lives.

      Perfect Wedding Week

Left on 11/06/2011 for a stay in November 2011

My fiance and I spent last week at Villa Sunrise with our closest friends and family. Our experience was flawless. The property looks wonderful on the internet, but is markedly more beautiful in person.

We looked at many properties on the North Coast, but settled on Villa Sunrise after chatting with the owner, Kevin. His responsiveness and easy-going nature made our decision much easier. Also, his experience in hosting weddings played into our decision to book Sunrise for this most important event.

Literally everything was perfect. The setting, the food, the weather, and the staff. I cannot say enough about the staff. Chris, Tanya, Sandi and the rest of the crew go out of their way to insure your comfort and happiness. The staff is present constantly, but unobtrusive and never in the way. They are extremely flexible and willing to make any accomodation to improve your stay.

Sivia, the wedding planner, is very good at her job. You can give her as much or as little guidance as you feel comfortable with. We took the middle road and really did not micro-manage the event. Silvia filled in the blanks effortlessly and provided us with a wedding we will never forget. We were married on the grassy point above the beach and had our reception meal at tables around the pool.

I am a physician and my wife is an accountant. I would say that we are type-A folks that like to cut loose on vacation. This Villa exceeded all of our expaectations and I would recommend it without reservation. Thank you to all of the folks at Villa Sunrise.

      over delivered

Left on 10/03/2011 for a stay in September 2011

I have stayed at 3 villas in the last few years all very different from each other. Sunrise villa delivered all that it promised .. the pictures are exactly what u get.. the service is Perfect total and unobtrusive. the food fantastic. I need to stop and say that in my group of 12 i had 8 accoplished cooks and 3 master chiefs..so i was concerned that even good food might not impress this group. I was wrong..the side trips that are recomended ie dinner out one night on them and lunch at playa grand were also both far better than we antispated. playa grand beach was perfect and lunch on the beach was much more fun and not the box lunch type some might expect it was a beach side buffet that was alot of fun. let me go back and talk about the house itself.. first the condition of the house was great clean is a massive understatment. many beach front properties show the ware just beacuse they are so close to the water.. sunrise suprized us there also it was in perfect shape. i will give u an example on out 3rd day a couple of the out side stereo speakers had some trouble . i mentioned it in passing to chris and with in 30 min the music was bangin poolside. staff... I dont know what to say there .. tanya and sandy and the whole house staff are great every request was done including boiling suger down to simple syrup so we could make fresh mojitos.. the beach side bonfire and band was a highlight for my aunts birthday. my group had 6 massages and 9 peticure /manicure all done poolside .. i looked to find something to recomend to improve and i can think of nothing .. sunrise villa and its staff over delivered in every catagory. Btw chris ( i am at a loss at what tital to use for him) went over bouard he took one person out in his car one day to run some errons ie some shopping and to exhange dollors for pesos. he was a total pleasure to talk to and trade stories with. the in house bar is exactly as billed it is the center of the sunrise villa universe

We just got back from a glorious week at Sunrise Villa. We traveled there with three other couples, but easily could have gone with several others. The property was pristine, the grounds and especially the views were spectacular, the accommodations were luxurious, and the staff was fantastic. Could not have picked a better place to stay with friends. Planning to go back with family - can't wait to return! Thanks again to the owners and staff for a wonderful week in paradise.

We spent Thanksgiving week there with 20 members of my family and it was wonderful. Unbelievable rooms with great ocean views...great common areas to relax...unbelievable service from the staff. A few of us wanted to see how cigars were made...the GM set us up a private tour of a small cigar factory by the owner himself. Simply the best value in Cabrera!!

A dream wedding at Sunrise Villa

Left on 11/14/2009 for a stay in November 2009

My husband and I got married at Sunrise Villa in November 2009 and our 5-day stay was a vacation we will never forget! Our parents and friends stayed with us at the villa (occupying 7 of the 8 bedrooms), while other wedding guests stayed at a nearby villa and a resort 30 minutes away. We had a beautiful ceremony on the beach, followed by a delicious meal and non-stop dancing. The wedding planner, Monica, was professional, knowledgeable, well-organized, and very easy to work with. She was able to accommodate all our requests and made the wedding planning over email an enjoyable experience. The villa owner was also easily accessible via phone and email and was eager to answer any questions and offer advice.

The villa itself is a beautiful property, tastefully decorated and meticulously maintained. With 14 adults and 2 children staying at the villa for 4 nights, we all had plenty of space and privacy. The villa staff were wonderful: friendly, professional, hard working, and fun! They made sure we had everything we needed, cooked us delicious meals, and even gave us dancing lessons. The villa manager offered various trips and activities, i.e. golf, day trips to a nearby beach, horseback riding... Some people in our group took advantage of all the activities the north coast has to offer, while others (including myself), stayed behind and enjoyed the various amenities offered at the villa. We stayed for 5 days and were NEVER bored!

Overall, Sunrise Villa far exceeded our expectations. The ocean views, the clean and spacious rooms, the privacy, the beach-side massages, the hot tub, the beautiful pool, the Manana bar, the helpful staff... we could not have imagined a more perfect vacation spot. I don't think I can ever stay at a huge, all-inclusive resort again!
