The Mirage is an open space apartment with incredible view of Lake Lugano. It consists of a large living room with sleeping area, a fitness area, a dining area and a lounge area, as well as a bathroom with Hamman. An adjacent room serves as a secondary bedroom and is equipped with its own bathroom with shower. The kitchen is located at the entrance of the apartment. Outside the windows of the hall you can admire an incomparable view of Ponte Tresa and the lake.

The terrace offers a jacuzzi, a dining table and chairs for relaxing in the Sun.

Viconago stands on a small natural balcony at 400 metres above the town of Ponte Tresa and the well known pi Lago di Lugano. In a panoramic position and close to all major urban centres, Viconago retains the ancient flavor of the old medieval village, with the ancient Church in the Centre of the village dating back to 1400. The mountain above also offers numerous trails and nature walks, the Lake is reachable in three minutes by car and the first swimming beaches are less than 6 miles. On the border with Switzerland, Viconago an excellent starting point for discovering the surrounding Italian and Swiss to discover the different customs and cultures, but at the same time also a great place to simply relax in complete relaxation surrounded by nature and enjoying a landscape and a quiet hardly comparable.

  I stayed in this beautifully appointed and decorated loft-style apartment with my two daughters (aged 11 and 14) for one week in July.
  The apartment is in a small village about 25 minutes from central Lugano- we had a rental car and I would discourage anyone from taking this apartment unless they had a car at their disposal. From Lugano, you drive just across the border into Ponte Tresa in Italy, then head up a steep, winding road to the small town of Cadegliano.
  The rewards for this effort are considerable. The view from the balcony of Mirage is spectacular, taking in one end of the lake and the town of Ponte Tresa. The apartment itself is very modern, clean and tastefully decorated- no dark clunky old Italian furniture here.
  There are two bathrooms and a 2nd bedroom, which is ideal for keeping the kids out of the way while you sit back and enjoy the views from the open living area/bedroom with a glass of whatever.
  There is a hot tub on the balcony and a high-tech steam shower which works up a decent temperature when the power supply is cooperating.
  The village itself is quiet- there is a hotel with a reasonable restaurant a short walk up the hill. Shopping can be done at the excellent new supermarket 5 minutes away in Ponte Tresa.
  There is a multitude of activities available in this area- Lugano and the lake are the obvious attractions, but there are smaller swimming beaches dotted around the lake. Lake Maggiore and Locarno are less than an hour away and Monte Tamaro is a fantastic day trip with ziplining, sledding and a ropes course.
  The hosts live almost next door to the property, so are generally available to rectify any problems you might have.
  Overall, this was a fantastic and relaxing place to stay, bearing in mind a little effort is required to get there and that a car is essential.
  Isabella and Maurizio, the owners, are very friendly and accommodating and both speak excellent English.
