Sleeping up to six people in three bedrooms, this detached cottage is opposite Staigue Fort on the Ring of Kerry. Fort Cottage is a detached cottage near to historic Staigue Fort on the Ring of Kerry. There are two ground floor double bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room, two ground floor bathrooms and a mezzanine level twin bedroom. There is a kitchen with dining area, and a sitting room with a multi-fuel stove. Outside is a front lawn and a gravelled area with picnic table, along with views over the sea and mountains. Fort Cottage makes a lovely base for walking on the Ring of Kerry, or touring other Kerry attractions such as Valenti...a Island, Kenmare or Derrynane House.

Amenities: Oil central heating with multi-fuel stove in sitting room. Electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, DVD, radio/CD. Fuel, power and starter pack for multi-fuel stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair on request. Off road parking for 6 cars. Front lawned garden, gravelled surrounds with picnic table. One well-behaved dog welcome (must be kept on a lead due to farm animals). Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 3 miles. Beach 4 miles.

Town: The little town of Caherdaniel is a traditional Irish village located in County Kerry. The history of the village dates back more than 2000 years, due to the copper mining in the surrounding mountains. Its magnificent coastal setting mean that the village is perfectly placed for exploring all of the attractions in this popular area. These include 'The Kerry Way' - a well-marked and very beautiful walking route – and the pretty town of Kenmare which can be reached in under an hour and boasts an excellent variety of shops, pubs and restaurants. Nature lovers will enjoy a trip to Valentia Island, located on the north west corner of the Ring of Kerry. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
