Labarthe is an 18 th Century manor house situated 8 km from Cahors in the heart of the Quercy. These vital, welcoming, interesting people, who are in the wine trade and grow walnuts, have turned one wing of the handsome old family house into elegant B&B; rooms. Two in subtle designer colours, one in traditional cosy French style. The two-storey dovecote is perfect for a small family and can be booked for self-catering, too. Laurence's dinners alone are worth the visit, then there's the fine pool on the olive-studded terrace, the rose garden and Italianate formality rolling past walnuts groves to the Lot countryside, gastronomy and wine, old... villages and unmissable Cahors. Situated in the heart of the region known as QUERCY, 10 minutes from the medieval town of CAHORS, DOMAINE DE LABARTHE has been welcoming guests for almost twenty five years. At the entrance to the village of Espère, this 18th century country seat, surrounded by walnut trees,remains a family home. Over the years it has been restored with loving respect for tradition and in keeping with its ancient stone character. Today it is a residence of quality in a unique setting.
There are three south-facing bedrooms on the ground floor which look out onto the main gardens and the swimming pool. They are very comfortable and
beautifully decorated, with the addition of a bouquet of roses to welcome you, in season.
In summer, breakfast is served at individual tables on the terrace, overlooking the hundred year old olive trees.
For a longer stay there is the « Pigeonnier », a charming two storey building, independent of the main house with two rooms and kitchen area, it is suitable for
2 to 3 people as a gite.

  We just discovered the Domaine de Labarthe... The guesthouse worth a visit for its charm and warmth of its welcome. Despite unpredictable weather, these past two days in this house with my daughter (15 years) were very, very nice ... Breakfast is delicious! We took in the beautiful area of the kitchen overlooking the park where the cherry on the cake, we surprised a doe Saturday morning ... To do: Cahors market on Saturday morning (picturesque and lively), visit the vineyards of Château La Grézette (splendid site 30 minutes walk from the house). So good, thank you.
