      Tropical rainforest retreat

Left on 06/10/2012 for a stay in March 2012

The location of this house is hard to beat. It is very private and has a great outlook yet it is quite close to a nice little shopping precinct where there was great coffee and most other provisions readily available. It is not too far from the CBD of Cairns and is within an easy drive of the beaches north of the city.

The home is well designed for the tropics being open plan but still providing privacy. There is no airconditioniing but the open plan and ceiling fans kept us cool even on hot days.

The service was very welcoming and the owner was knowledgeable about the area. It was very comfortable and we will definitely consider it next time we are in Cairns

Funtastic place for relax and rejuvenate

Left on 05/22/2012 for a stay in April 2012

Loves the house and the surrounding, close to fabulous cafe and botanic garden and a quiet street with fabulous neighbour... Within close proximity to the beaches and Cairns city. After the hustle and bustle in Sydney city, arriving in this fabulous house surrounded by forrest, with nice big deck looking towards the hills and backyard facing the small forrest, what else do you wish for...;)

      A tropical holiday to remember

Left on 05/13/2012 for a stay in December 2011

Me,my girlfriend and some of our best mates from Ireland were looking for a holiday with a difference so we ventured all the way to north queensland for a taste of the tropical life. We came across this cool looking hideaway in the rainforest and we couldn't resist! There was a group of 10 of us in all and this house was perfect for us...there was even room for a few more :-) we stayed for a week and had a fantastic time. The house was located at the edge of the city and there was very easy bus & taxi access to the many local beaches and sites. We spent our days soaking up the beautiful sunshine and also went diving on the great barrier reef which is so easy to get to from Cairns. We enjoyed chilling out in the evenings back at the house and had the best time together. I loved our stay here and i hope some day we'll get to return to Cairns...we'll definently be staying here again!!

      Unique accommodation option

Left on 05/13/2012 for a stay in March 2012

I booked 1 Raintree Place on behalf of extended family from Northern NSW for a reunion we had here in March. Having personally organized hotel and resort style accommodation for family and friends over the years this option turned out to be the perfect choice. Being a Cairns local I also had the advantage to inspect prior to booking which confirmed the uniqness of the setting. The subsequent feedback from family was excellent "beautiful rainforest environment", "handy to town", "short walk to "Botanical Gardens" to name just a few. Would definitely recommend this accommodation option again.
