There are many sides to Cairo, such as the pyramids of Giza, which are so iconic as to be beyond description. There is the astonishing gold of Tutankhamun buried in the dusty upper corridors of the Cairo Museum and there are the Islamic treasures of bejewelled mosques and sacred places of learning. For many people however, the best of the city is experienced not through the iconic spectacle of ancient monuments great though they are, even more memorable perhaps is the morning coffee with traders in Khan alKhalili bazaar the glance of the midday sun off a piece of polished brass or the call of a nation to prayer at sunset Heliopolis area close to the Sheraton Fairmont Hotel and conference centre also the local shops and amenities. The Ministries area is part of the larger residential development of Sheraton Heliopolis. A quiet upmarket area populated by a number of government ministers reputably including the former President Hosni Mubarak's brother-in-law. The area has both a mosque and a church. The recently built City Starts Shopping Mall is approximately 10 minutes drive away. This mall contains a large cinema complex with 21 screens a hotel a number of restaurants coffee bars and cafes plus 643 retail outlets, which include western outlets such Mango, Guess, Miss Sixty, Virgin and French Connection along side the numerous Egyptian outlets. The large American hypermarket Spinneys can also be found at City Stars Head to downtown Cairo. The Egyptian Museum Khan alKhalili Night life on the Nile or relaxation at the beautifully landscaped Al Azhar Park North West takes you to Giza with the iconic Pyramids and Sphinx. The apartment is ideally positioned as a base for exploring the city of Cairo. In its quiet area, it is far enough away from the hustle and bustle of a busy city but close enough to allow access to all the sights within manageable travel times.
Located at Sheraton Heliopolis Buildings, opposite the Ministers Zone, 10 minutes away from Cairo International Airport. Very safe, elite and classy area.

  This is my second stay here, and I just love it, it provides the luxury of hotel accommodation with the conveninece of making your own coffee in the morning.
  
  Best of all is the location of the flat, it over looks a wide boulevard, remind me f the Champs Elisee (egyptian version), and is 5 minutes to the airport with taxies available round the clock at your door step.
  
  The decoration is very classy with delightful bright matching colours, simple but elegant and well ditributed. bathrooms are huge and luxurious with nice modern style.
  
  5 minutes walk to a 24X7 super market that catered for all our needs, and most of all few minutes walk from Sun City, one of the most upmarket malls in egypt, which includes Carefour as well as lots of reasonably priced restaurants, the wife's excuse for not using the fully equipped kitchen.
  
  A great place to stay for families on holidays, or business trips.
