A lovely family villa with a gorgeous garden and gated driveway, a short walk from the beautiful bay and beach of Galdana. Villa Galdana is a bright and airy house, newly renovated. It's in a quiet suburb, an easy walk through a lovely pine wood to the beach, the sea and the resort.

It's the perfect house for a relaxing holiday with long days around the pool. Inside, the house is all on one level and is cool and welcoming with traditional Menorcan

dark-wood furniture. There's a comfortable lounge with sofas, TV, a dvd/cd stereo, and full-height windows looking onto the pool and garden. There's a dining space and a well-planned kit...chen with lots of workspace and storage in pale-wood units, and appliances including a dishwasher and a microwave.

here are four bedrooms in total - one double and three twins. Up one step you have a double and a twin bedroom which have antique Menorcan furniture in dark wood with ornate carving, and the second twin is furnished in pine. There are two family bathrooms here also, with baths and showers. The third twin bedroom, just off the kitchen, was added in 2008 complete with new en-suite shower bathroom.

The gardens are beautifully designed around the pool, shaded by tall trees and palms. The pool is long and great for swimming, with a separate shallow area for children. There's a table-tennis table and lawns to play on. And there's also a lovely, shady place to eat in a courtyard near the house - with a barbecue, and a table and chairs under a gazebo.

Villa Galdana is a great family villa close to some of the most beautiful beaches, coves and villages on Menorca. Galdana Bay - a 5-minute walk away - has a white sandy beach sheltered by high cliffs covered with pine trees. Galdana itself is a very friendly family resort with cafés and shops, as well as watersports and tennis courts. It's peaceful and relaxed in the evenings with restaurants on the waterfront. Macarella Bay is another secluded beach, also close by, down steps cut into the rock. And there are more gorgeous beaches nearby too at Son Bou and Cala'n Porter, which also have bars and nightclubs. The villa is also just a short drive from the traditional town of Ciudadela with narrow cobbled streets and some of the best shops on the island.
