TASTE OF ZANZIBAR ON THE BEACH is a very charming, clean, private beach house in a very quiet location surrounded by trees and wildlife.  The 3 bedrooms are furnished with comfortable beds and colourful bedding. The kitchen is fully equipped and beautiful dishes compliment every table setting in a warm and inviting dining room. The beach house has 2 fireplaces to further welcome guests to relax and enjoy. Guests can also enjoy a beautiful ocean and mountain view while soaking in a deluxe hot tub. Enjoy your own private beach!

We stayed at the Taste of Zanzibar for nine days and fell in love with the place. The house is very comfortable and George and Romina really ensure that you have all you need to make the stay as nice as possible. They have a vey well equipped kitchen and all the basic things you may need are provided (tea, coffee, sugar, cooking oil,...). They even brought us a fantastic cake, freshly baked muffins and delicious cookies. The hot tub is great after you have been hiking all day.
The location is fantastic. Right by the sea. You can walk down the rocky beach. This is what we really enjoyed the most. In the morning when the tide was low we explored the shore, where you find hundreds of starfish, anemones, oysters,...All day long you can see lovely seabirds and many seals. We even saw bold eagles. At night we had beach fires, roasting marshmallows.
I loved falling sleep to the sound of the sea and waking up to the wonderful colours of the sunrise.
This really has to be one of the nicest places we have ever stayed in. Our 10 year old thoroughly enjoyed it.
There is plenty to do around Campbell river. George gave us some advice and there is an informative folder in the house. We booked a couple of wildlife watching tours with aboriginal journeys and went for many treks. Strathcona national park is only an hour away and the coast has many trails that are easy and provide good wildlife watching. -

5 Tage im august 2012 in diesem tollen Haus waren sensationell. Da hat einfach alles gestimmt und gepasst. Das Haus, das ambiente, der Whirlpool, der eigene Strand, der Garten, der Grill, die Sauberkeit, einfach alles. Selbst an Lebensmittel wurde bei unserer ankunft gedacht. Georges ist einer der nettesten und hilfreichsten Vermieter, die man sich vorstellen kann. Wir fahren bestimmt noch einmal nach Kanada und dann garantiert auch wieder einige Tage in dieses super Haus. Zusätzlich hat man noch einem hervorragenden ausgangsort für div. Ausflüge, zum Fischen und Erkundungsfahrten.

We spent a wonderful 3 days in this lovely house with fabulous views across the sea. Loads of room in the garden extending to the beach. We had great weather so spent evenings on the porch or sitting on driftwood in the sand, watching boats go by! House was very well equipped & and clean. Hosts very welcoming. We would highly recommend this holiday rental.

This is a wonderful character home right on the water. Go to sleep at night listening to the sounds of the waves and wake up in the morning to the sound of sea birds. My son enjoyed building fires in the fire pit right on the beach. The beach is very rocky and has a lot of sea weed so you can't swim but when the tide goes out, you can search for crabs, starfish and other sea creatures. We were brought fresh baked muffins and cookies and there were bowl fulls of seasoned nuts upon our arrival. all the necessities are there waiting for you including professional hair products. We loved having a glass of wine in the hot tub while enjoying the view of ocean and mountains. The house is back off the main road a bit so you don't get the noise of the highway disturbing you. It is not as modern as some rentals but the property more than makes up for that. There is room for small kids to run around as long as they have someone watching them as it very easy to access the water. I didn't find a lot to do in the area for kids. We wanted to go whale watching but it was really expensive. We were there for a family wedding so we didn't have a whole lot of time to explore. We did go over to Quadra Island but were disappointed, we chose our place to eat based on reviews in the guide book and were not overly happy with their choices so I suggest speaking with somebody local who can give better ideas on places.
Would definitely recommend staying at Zanzibar!!!
