  I wanted to send a review asap. We celebrated my 50th birthday at Sky Villa. It was the most amazng view, villa, location, pool, beach, and restaurant. Not to mention the property manager Ernie. Bless him he come over on my birthday with a cake and sang happy birthday in spanish. The villa is very nice and comfortable and clean! We would love to stay here again, heck we would love to live here! I have been to Cancun 15x. Did the resorts and time share and all inclusive scene. But having your own villa with a kitchen with a stocked refrigerator and everything you need is the way to go. Ernie is the man to go to for everything. He is so gracious and accommodating. And very secure. Not just any one can walk into Porto Fino like other resorts. The security staff are very frendly, they even do turtle releases on the beach, very cool!

  Best. Spring Break. Ever. Yeah 3X!

  First of all, please take the "Spring Break" bit with a grain of salt because we weren't a crazy MTV Spring Break crew looking for an all-inclusive, tops-optional type of place. (well, at least not the entire time).
  
  We were a group of 14 people on a 5-night trip. I would say we were looking for 50% spring-break style partying and 50% get-away / relaxing vacation (aka in the Hotel Zone, but not in one of those student-spring-break packaged hotels) So after eliminating the big hotels, the most important things to us were: safety, price, walking-distance location to clubs/restaurants, accommodations somewhere between 'comfortably nice' and 'luxury', and a kitchen.
  
  And after much research, the choice came down to a nearby villa or this condo (and one other in the same complex, same owner). We all excitedly decided on the villa, but soon found out that it couldn't fit all of us and was almost twice the price. I remember we were all bummed out about losing the villa - but any and all of those feelings are just distant memories because the condo was the best decision of our entire trip - hands-down.
  
  The price itself was unbelievable, so we expected that the place would not be as nice as advertised or that there would be some problems here or there. Honestly, wow, I am thinking about it now (I am writing this review several months after having gone) and I can't believe how good of a deal we got on this vacation. The price per person for the entire 5-nights was less than one night at a 5-star resort.
  
  Because it was my first time renting a vacation condo and there was no check-in desk, I was afraid that getting into the place would be complicated. But the rental owner met us right when we arrived and handled everything smoothly, easily and quickly. I was very impressed. Throughout our time there, the maintenance and office managers, pool servers, the guards, and everyone else who worked there was incredibly nice, helpful, and quick.
  
  We ended up splitting up our group into two separate condos, but we were in the same complex, so it was fine. I stayed in the exact one pictured in this posting, which look great in the photos, but so much more amazing in person; impeccably cleaned, stocked like a hotel room, and decorated like a home. The other half of our group stayed in another condo which wasn't decorated / furnished as nicely, but was more than sufficient and just as spacious, with a patio, full-kitchen and everything. Each floor of each building only has two condos, so it feels very private without feeling isolated.
  
  There were some minor issues we ran into: the jacuzzi in our condo didn't have hot enough water for the first few days, but they quickly fixed this. Also, the construction of the buildings creates a wind-tunnel that pushes huge gusts of wind in the patio area that became pretty severe at night. (could be seasonal? Not sure)
  
  But in any case, the pool was beautiful, the view was beautiful, the beach was beautiful. Some of the bedrooms with floor-to-ceiling windows faced the beach (as my room did) and even though I am not a morning person at all, I woke up early every morning to the most amazing view, sun streaming in, and feeling incredibly pure, refreshed and relaxed. I don't care if you are a hungover group of 22 year olds, high-strung financiers spending their bonuses on a trip to Cancun, or a busy family that never seems to have enough time in the day - that refreshing feeling of waking up in the morning as if you hadn't slept in years is what truly makes a vacation a vacation, and that alone was is well worth your money.
  
  The location was better than we had anticipated. Right in front of the condos is a delicious burrito shack, a 24/7 7-11 type of store, bus stop, and several restaurants.The big parties at night were walking-distance, and the area felt extremely safe even at night. Big shopping areas were just a bus ride away.
  
  The building was extremely secure at night - almost too secure. Not sure what the policy is normally, but we were not allowed to bring guests past 11PM. (the guards at the front gate strictly enforced this)
  
  I've never written a review before because I was never compelled to, even though I've traveled quite a bit around the world and thoroughly enjoyed staying at some of the best hotels and luxury resorts (I have a high-maintenance mother). But I loved this vacation and this condo so much that I just had to write something so people know about it. It is absolutely the best value for what you get. Whether with friends or with family, whether looking to party or relax, you really can have it all!
  
  Bottomline: We would go back again, highly recommend, Facebook Like it, Google +1 it, rate it highly on every review, etc. There are really not enough good things I can say about this place!! Go go go!!

  There was a lot of hype about this place being "SkyVilla" and all, but it really is. Once we were in cancun, we compared all the features and cleanliness of our unit with our pool friends there, and it was almost humorous, We could not tell people all the goodies in this unit because we did not want others to feel bad. We had far better furniture, better towels, far better service, and incredible extras that we could not even describe to our neighbors for fear of making them unhappy. One example was free international calling, or a great maid Kristie, or a host who really cares and was practically a private butler and vacation organizer in perfect english. So when you hear it is the best building in Cancun, it is definitely, but when you hear about mind bending extras, there were, but the staff was just even more amazing. And not taking away from anyone else's vacation, but everything in our place worked, as opposed to being broken. We stay in a lot of hotels, and they should be worried when a condo or skyvila like this was like a presidential suite with the service to match. i guess we saved a fortune over a hotel, and had a much better time. I dont think the JW Mariott does free grocery shopping, and I know they don't give you state of the are free virtual office with 6 kinds of free phones. So thanks Kristie, and Ernie, and the owner was very nice too. We will be coming back soon, as we would stay no where else. It was clearly the best value and the place is even better than the pictures.
