What more can I say than location/location/location about Villa #122. 2000 Sq Ft/ 3 Br/ two story condo right on the beach. It’s a rare find right in the middle of everything on Cancun Beach. Restaurants, malls, shops, banks, cigar store, Oxxo, DDS. Alvin and his staff are awesome. Totally professional and trustworthy. They do everything they can to make your vacation happy and successful. They were always responsive to our requests for tour reservations, water, or whatever. We stayed for a week and everything we saw in the advertising was accurate. Having said that, Villa Marlin is an older condo complex so don’t expect the same kind of facilities you would get at the Marriott Resorts. This is a place where you can go to the grocery store and eat in your own kitchen, relax in your living room and sit around and watch movies on the DVD/TV together. They provide the DVD player. The bad is that it was all Mexican TV. The facilities were clean and adequate.
The proximity to the beach is the best and the beach is excellent. Alvin arranged the pick up at the airport and we were taken directly to the unit. Wifi was excellent. We opted for an add on Vontage phone that worked perfect. -

We stayed at the same unit at Villas Marlin that the photos show . We had the main level unit which had the living/ dining/ kitchen and 2 patio doors for easy access in and out. Also there is a 2 piece bath. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms with a wrap around balcony. I had the master suite with my own bathroom facing the awesome blue ocean. Words sometimes cannot express nature. The complex is much more attractive than the pics show. Looks a bit like Greece with the white structures and the brilliant blue ocean and white cap waves. The location is so very handy to most of your needs. Right in front of the complex is a very attractive mall and they have everything there. Upstairs there is a Mexican Restuarant which is very reasonable and good food. Also a Burger King beside it and cheap. In front of the Mall is a bus stop with city buses coming every few minutes. There is another mall and banks about 15 minutes walking. Lots of restuarants to pick from. Villas Marlin has a small grocery store and no restuarant open when we were there. Alvin the manager took us to the grocery store and it was fantastic. Alvin was great to deal with. Alvin will remember the name of the store as I think it is spelled "Sorirma". The prices were very good . We spent about $120.00 for 4 of us for the week and did eat out from time to time. The milk is not cooled and can be found on the shelves in cartons. It was very good. I also bought whipping cream off the shelf. The store would not take us travellers checks but will take credit cards. Again the location of Villas Marlin is perfect and so is the beach. They have 24 hour security and they are on top of everything. I had a towel draped over the balcony and security was right there to remove it. Very secure complex, no worries at all.
This was my second trip to Cancun . I stayed near the airport end of the zone the first trip and I had to take a bus all the time to go anywhere. Location really is important to some tourists and Villas Marlin certainly has a great location on the hotel zone. The unit comes with bottled water and dispenser and they bring you more when you need it. We loved our vacation at Villas Marlin and hope to get the same unit again when I return. -

Our Van came as scheduled to pick us up. Staff was very nice and got us off to a good start. Explaining the complex and amenities. The beach is gorgeous and private. The pool areas great with lots of seating. A very quite and mostly adult group during our stay. Close to shopping and night life. Don't be afraid of the bus. The little shop on site just opened so limited goods were available, but we did like the gail and the few things she had came in handy. The condo was a little smaller than the pics led me to think it would be. Cleanliness was good. The kitchen had dishes to get by with. Just no oven or toaster so improvise with stove top and microwave. The bad thing that happened to us was departure. We told alvin that we wished for a 5:45 departure, he had explained it took one half hour to get there and of course you are supposed to be there two hours for international flights. Well we were ready for pick up a few minutes early and waited 20 minutes with no one to get us. We tried to ask the gate man to get a hold of alvin, we don't speak much spanish and what we did manage to get across he said he could not call him. Luckily a cab was dropping off a couple after their night adventure. We were 5 plus 5 suitcases so thank goodness it was a minivan and he could take us. So we paid him $60.00, which we had already paid for to and from the airport transportation upon our arrival. The airport is very busy that time of the morning with departures, so lines were long. We got to our gate with no time to spare. Well we are home now and our tans are fading :(

Huntington Beach, CaliforniaWonderful days in Cancun at Villas Marlin, Villa 122
Left on 04/06/2010 for a stay in March 2010
Before I left to Cancun, I was a little bit worried, because I only communicated with Alvin by email. He did not ask me for a deposit, only to send him info about my arrival flight, so that he can send a van to pick us up. My group of four includes my wife and two adult daughters, taking break from UCLA. Exactly as promised on his email, Alvin and Fernando met us at the front of the condo, when the van he sent for us arrived. I felt very much at home at Villa 122. Anytime I need anything, he was always there for us. Our four cellphones, Sprint, did not work even roaming option was on. I could not tell if the problem came from Mexico Phone Network or Sprint. But when my daughter misplaced her purse somewhere, Alvin arranged for us to come to his office and made phone calls to the US to cancel the credit cards. I found his help invaluable.
My Villa 122 is just in the middle of Agua Hotel and Westin Hotel. We open the back door from the living room, and we could walk on the white sand to swim on the Caribbean Beach. It is really a luxury. And the price is very reasonable.
We have 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs. Downstairs are for kitchen, dining, living areas, bath room and laundry room. We went to Walmart to buy meats fruits and vegetables, and we made good Pina Colada at home.
For a family like ours, condo is a must. I want to give this unit and the service a four and a half points out of five.
