Description from the owner
At the piece of land larger than 6000m2 we built two villas, called Joglo and Yoga Bale. Villas are surrounded by hand planted green grass, thousands of plans and flowers, 110 palm trees, pools and ponds. There is a spa and sauna at the villa Joglo; tennis court and upper private beach. For relaxing or for exercising, there is a sixteen-meter infinity pool on the premises. Attached is a nine-meter square, shallow children’s pool. Down four meters from the upper beach there is 50 m long white-sand beach, one of the very few left in Candi Dasa area. All together our compound is a “ private resort”, great for a relaxing retreat or fami...Read more

Additional Location Information
We are located right at the ocean with one of the few white-sand beaches to be found in Candi Dasa right down the steps. Candi Dasa is a quiet haven on the coast of east Bali, which has remained a refuge for artists, writers, and discerning travelers, seeking a beautiful retreat away from larger westernized resorts. The bustle of major cities like Ubud and Denpasar are within easy commuting distance, their excitement and entertainment is no more than one hour’s drive from Citakara Sari. There are many wonderful restaurants in the area, ranging from small Warungs, or cafés, to upscale establishments where Western chefs experiment with fusions of Balinese and Western food, and even offer cooking classes. Great class world diving is short boat/car ride away, snorkeling is right off the beach. There are mountains at the back of the property with easy trails to explore glamorous views or go for a biking trip.

MelbournePerfect setting
Left on 04/04/2013 for a stay in January 2013
We travelled to Candidasa in Jan 2013 for 8 days (2 adults & 3 kids 11,8 & 4). We stayed in Jogolo and the accommodation was exactly as pictured. It was very comfortable & clean. We all had an amazing stay mostly relaxing by the pool and are all very much looking forward to another stay. We were delighted by the hospitality offered by Iouri and the lovely staff. We have no hesitation recommending the accommodation as it was really lovely.

We stayed as a family group of three adults and two kids, in January 2013. The property, staff and management are all first class. The beach was great for the kids and there's a good coral reef right off the beach. The villas, lawns and grounds are superb. Iouri was a great host and wonderful to deal with in every respect.
During our time in Bali we stayed in three villas across the Island; this was by far the best.. We look forward to our return.

SydneyHoliday of a lifetime
Left on 03/25/2013 for a stay in February 2013
From the moment we arrived at Citakara Sari Estate, the welcoming staff and the magnificently appointed villas combined to give us the holiday of a lifetime. We had amazing feasts - from the Karangasem royal style dinner on the first night for my daughter's birthday, and the superb barbecued fish on the last night. In between feasting we played tennis and snorkelled and swam, had beautiful massages, and were chauffeured to lovely and unique villages by very well informed drivers. The staff were professional and generous and really made our stay feel more like a visit with friends. It was lovely to live like royalty for a while. Thank you.

We were a family of 9 adults plus a toddler. The 2 houses were perfect for us. The grounds are superb with a magnificent pool overlooking the sea, lush lawns and a tennis court.
The staff are wonderful providing a great breakfast and anything else you may require. The car and driver were on hand to take us the short drive into Candi Dasa whenever we required or further afield by arrangement.
Overall a wonderfully relaxing holiday by the sea. We hope one day to return.

Cape TownSerenely beautiful villa for relaxing family holiday
Left on 08/13/2012 for a stay in July 2012
We came to Villa Citikara Sari for a family get-together, meeting with family from australia, England and South africa, with four school age children and one toddler.
The two villas were absolutely beautifully designed and decorated, with lots of antique wood carving, combined with contemporary crafts and artworks. The decor has all been carefully put together, yet it is still a family-friendly space that kids can relax in. We loved the carved four-poster beds, which were very comfortable, and the stunning views out over the lagoon and ocean through the palm trees.
There is a secluded spa courtyard with a gorgeous day-bed, where you can have massages, or just relax with a book. Hammocks hung between palm trees are also enticing. And the more energetic of us enjoyed the tennis court too.
The rim-flow pool is perfectly planned at the end of the garden overlooking the beach, with a small child pool attached on the side. It was far enough from the house to be safely removed from the toddler, over a soft stretch of perfectly green lawn. We also loved snorkeling from the private beach every morning and discovering the varied fish in the lagoon.
Ayu and the rest of the staff looked after us very well and maintained the villas beautifully.
The villas are in a quiet location 10 minutes drive from the town of Candidasa. Close enough to drive in for evening meals, but far enough away to feel peaceful and tucked away in the palm plantations. We walked into the local village to eat on several occasions and ate in the villa twice too. Even the picky eater found plenty of food he liked! -

We spent 7 nights at the Villa and loved every minute of it. We were a family of 10 ranging from my parents of 70, four adults in the 40's and four teenages from 15-18 years old. All the staff were very friendly and ayu, the Manager, was more than happy to help organise us. We spent alot of our time in the car with Made the driver and he made us feel very safe in all the crazy traffic. The Villa is set about 10 mins off the main road but is maybe a little too far to walk into Candidasa but the car trips are complimentary. A very relaxing location if you want to get away from it all, too far for partying etc in Kuta, about a 2 hour drive in traffic, but that is what we loved about it.

My wife and I stayed at Citakara Sari in October 2011.
We originally booked for 5 nights and planned to travel onto Lombok for 7 nights, but after 4 hours at the property it became very clear to us that leaving would be foolish so we stayed for the full 12 days.
We are regular visitors to Bali and after a bad experience staying at "Bali Vnew” villa in Lovina we vowed never to rent a privately owned villa again however staying at Citakara Sari has changed that. This was one of the most professionally run places we have experienced, even better than some of the resorts with hundreds of staff.
The team that run the place on a daily basis really care about your holiday experience. Even after our first initial email enquiry to the owner prior to booking, I knew we had found something very special were going to enjoy staying there.
If you love to relax and chill out in a beautiful tropical setting, than this is the place for you. The villas are tastefully decked out with antique carvings and artefacts, numerous lounging options with sumptuous soft furnishings add to the laid back, understated luxury...heaven!
Magnificent grounds, a beautiful pool and snorkelling right off the beach. The property was so lovely we did not want to leave and day trips became a chore!
Nothing was a too much trouble; we had bicycles, yoga teachers, masseuses, and meals from local Candidasa restaurants delivered to our villa. Although the Nasi Goreng cooked by aYU was pretty special!
If you want to a more active holiday there is a lot to do in and around the area but we were so relaxed we did not even use the splendid tennis court.
Thank you Bali for the beautiful weather, thank you aYU and the team for looking after us and thank you to Iouri for creating such a magnificent place!
We will most definitely be back.
I only hope one day the owner will let me purchase Villa Yogi Bale for my retirement!

We stayed here during christmas and new years 2010. We are experienced Bali travellers and this is was by far the best vacation we've had here. The villas are astonishing in its design and comfort and the staff is wonderful. The picutures tells the story about this place. It is as wonderful as shown. Snorkling directly off the beach, playing tennis and having massage all days. Pure pleasure for the senses and for the soul. The villa is situated it little bit off the beaten track in a small very genuine balinese village. We had a scooter to take us to the resturants around the small town of candidasa. We can warmly recommend this place. The owners is also very nice, trustworthy and easy to do business with. Thanks you Iouri and Lynn.

Left on 06/11/2011 for a stay in May 2011
9 of us stayed in this villa for 2 nights and we were extremely happy with our choice. The location was idyllic, right at the beachfront and absolutely immaculate, from its manicured lawn with beautiful palm trees, rooms tastefully furnished, outdoor bathrooms so sensuously and luxuriously decorated and very, very spacious common space with kitchen, dining, entertaining and relaxing areas. In fact, the whole place is extremely spacious and there were plenty of space for everyone, 9, of us ! The architecture - with its beautiful panel carvings and the ornate interior roof and lustrous chandelier are a sight for sore eyes. The swimming pool was of a generous size and was compatible with the gazebo nearby. There was even a sauna for our use! We were absolutely in rapture during our time here. Wished we had booked the place for more days.

Chicago, ILLike having your own private resort!
Left on 05/04/2011 for a stay in November 2010
Citakara Sari is like having your own private resort. You can have a great
massage or enjoy the sauna in the private spa, swim, play tennis, or
meditate near the sea. If it's seclusion you need, there are plenty of
private nooks and crannies where you can hide away for reading and napping.
The kind and gentle staff felt like family and were there to attend to
every need. It's also great to have a driver to make exploring the entire
island fun and stress-free.

Citakara Sari is a breathtakingly beautiful piece of paradise, something that is increasingly hard to find in Bali these days. On first entering the gates, you are welcomed with a sweeping view of towering palms and ocean breakers. As you settle into the property, you begin to appreciate the elegant details of the spacious villa and guest house, the gracious demeanor of the staff and the exquisite natural surroundings. The large infinity pool is a joy, overlooking the ocean in all its moods, and the tennis court is a wonderful luxury to have at one's back door. Our stay at Citrakara Sari was memorable for all these reasons and also for a less tangible one: the general sense of well being that this special place bestows, leaving one feeling at once energized and deeply relaxed.
