hi there,
My wife and i took our two girls to Bali recently for a two week holiday. We stayed at Villa Echo Beach and loved every minute!
The villas are approximately 250 metres from Echo beach, where surfers are from not only overseas visitors, but locally too. I'm an intermediate surfer (could be much better) and i had a great time. There was even an opportunity to not only hire boards from the villas, but the opportunity to hire the services of a western surf instructor who knew the local breaks. Makes you feel a little bit better if you ask me.
We didnt just spend time at Echo Beach, we also had a driver for 8 hours a day. Normally im a little bit skeptical about drivers and where they taker you, but to be honest, our driver Made, couldnt have been more perfect. he was an absolute charmer.
Canggu is really pumping with new restaurants and places to hang out. There is a little construction in the gang (lane/street) where the villas are situated, but at no time did the building get in our way, let alone did we even hear any noise whatsoever.
If we had the money, we'd be back tomorrow. We cant wait to go back.
