East Residence and Spa is tucked along Tiying Tutul, a narrow by-way veering off the main Tabanan-Kerobokan road in the district of Canggu. This lengthy side road cuts through several villages; the villa itself rests in peaceful Tumbak Bayuh. The property’s lower grounds are bordered by a river, waterfall and jungle foliage with a steep embankment opposite. Fenced off, the river marks the property border; ask the gardener to open the gate for riverbank explorations. Beyond this and encircling the villa, it’s a picturesque scene of rice fields, grazing cattle and farmed lands dotted with local buildings and, increasingly, foreign-built villas. On a clear day, from bedrooms one and two, you can see Gunung (Mount) Agung, an active volcano and, at 3,142m, Bali’s highest peak.

This was my second visit to East Residence having previously stayed there in 2012 and there was a good reason for returning to this place - firstly Location
Only 45 minutes from airport and 10 minutes from Echo beach and only 25 minutes to Tanah Lot then there's the lush green scenery of Canggu and beautiful rice fields and sorrounding villages.
I hired a scooter while there which staff at East Residence arranged and it was very economical to get around locally and experinece some of the local places and on ocassions when I had to travel further staff arranged a taxi or a car for the day with driver again very economical.
Bali itself is just beautiful and my primary reason this time was to go there and explore bit more inland and also diving and may I recommend doing a wrech Diving at Teleban of Usat Liberty very beautiful.
Villa itself is just gorgeous and serene and staff arranged for a local masseus and yoga teacher for me which was a great way to start and end my day with the backdrop of the water stream and rice fields -

A great place to stay, the staff were so lovely, the food that was cooked was amazing, the villa was kept tidy and clean at all times. If you didn't want to leave the villa, you didn't have to. When we did go shopping our driver was always accommodating and very friendly.
We look forward to coming back and having a totally relaxing holiday. -

Paradise found... on tour with a group of ladies on an all Girl adventure!
Truly the perfect place to stay in Bali, away from the noise and crowds but close enough to all the super shopping, bars and night life that Bali has to offer! Everything a girl could possibly wish for and much more!! Divine spa treatments, excellent discreet staff who were most helpful and obliging, delicious meals and a driver that took us anywhere and everywhere! A place to relax, unwind and enjoy the pleasures of life.
Yoga every morning, cocktails by the pool, a traditional Balinese cooking class, daily massages - thank you East Residence for the experience! Can't wait to come back! -

Seldomly you come across a place where you feel physically and spritually connected - East Residence is located away from all the hustle and Bustle of Kuta yet only 30 mins away on a motorbike thats if you really want to follow the masses.
Villa is decorated to very high standard and had all mod cons.
Villa pictures say it all - simply beautiful and staff are very helpful. We had a massaeur evey other day (extra) a spart of the stay and what a great way to start a day. Villa is very tranquil and has enough zones if you want to get lost by yourself for few hours.
I will definetly be back to this villa and recommend recommend you try the lobaster at Echo beach on Sunday - there is live band on Sunday. -

The photos tell the whole story without exaggeration, and while there were only 6 of us, 10 or 12 would have been well accommodated. A very well managed property with excellent and discrete staff.
The blessing was the tranquility of the location, and the provision of a car and driver - a good 7 seater that allowed us ti throw ourselves into the hurly-burly at will (and without any stress) or, most usually, just stay put around the pool.
The only (tiny) negative was that the homestyle cooking of the cook fell a little below the standard that the rest of the property delivered. -

Had an amazing time, the villa was stunning, peacful and pure bliss. Ideal for a relaxing holiday, could easily sleep 12 people. Food was great the chef was very accommodating and happy to make anything! We also went into town which was an easy taxi ride but to be honest didn't want to leave villa! Thank you East It we had an amazing tim will definetley be back.

East Residence is simply breathtakingly beautiful both inside and out.
The minute we walked through the front door of the villa all of our "Bali Dreams" came true! So relaxing and restful!
We experienced excellent service and everything was taken care of without having to ask. Our chef was exceptional and all of our meals were delicious! Both the taste and presentation were fantastic (we ate in at the villa more often than we ate out).
The combination of excellent service, superb in-house dining, a beautiful and immaculately kept villa, heavenly spa treatments, and friendly staff made for an outstanding holiday experience. We were treated with the service we never expected and every staff member was more than friendly, we can't wait to return!
