In addition to offering luxury accommodation, guests have access to a personal driver service for 10 hrs per day, unlimited free WI-FI internet, return transfers, plus use of the villa mobile phone for making local calls. This private villa is located about 5 minutes drive from the hip crowd of Seminyak and 15 minutes to Legian or the hustle and bustle of Kuta.
Canggu is a traditional village featuring vast uncrowded beaches, numerous local shops and eateries, and rice fields at every turn. This is a great place to stay if you want to experience the more authentic, natural side of Bali while being in close proximity to the restaurants and nightlife that Bali is famous for.
Within a 5 minute walk from the villa are 2 mini-marts, a local market, and numerous small restaurants and cafes to satisfy your hunger. There is also a medical clinic if the need arises.
World renowned surf breaks at Berawa and Echo beaches are located a short distance away, and other great and uncrowded waves can be found in close proximity.

Incredible service from everyone that worked at Leacott Retreats, from the management who handled our booking to the staff that worked there, so welcoming and would do anything to make our stay the best possible. Wayan our driver was amazing, he was incredible in suggesting the best spots to eat and to see.
The villa was absolutely beautiful, an amazing retreat to come back to and relax. -

Our family of 4 really really enjoyed our stay at the villa, first of all a couple of minor issues involving a lack of ceiling fans in the main open living area and the warmth of the upper bedroom till early hours of the morning (We are Victorians) our youngest ended up sleeping in the 2nd cooler bedroom (double bed) with her sister which I felt a little more confident about due to the lack of a lock on the upper bedroom door. The villa itself is a great layout and the self contained kitchen saved us some money, it was clean and well maintained and the staff including the housekeepers and security guards were friendy and efficient, the pool was great and to be situated in a semi rural area between a rice field and other villas was something different for our family. Possibly a little further away from Kuta than we would have chosen if we were more familiar with Bali (last visit was 23 years ago)but in the end it turned out to be a positive as our dedicated 10 hours a day driver was great value (included in the price )taking us wherever we wanted to go and filling us in on all the cultural activities happening at the time. Overall very happy with the experience including a great hamper supplied on arrival.

Villa was stunning and cleaned immaculately daily. The pool was nice and warm and clean. There was also a selection of Dvds which came in handy.
All the staff are extremely friendly and accommodating and made us feel very welcome. They would do anything to make our holiday more enjoyable.
The driver was there waiting for us at the airport and took us straight to the villa, where we were warmly greeted by the cleaners and manager who had welcome drinks prepared for us. The welcome hamper also contained a lot of yummy food.
Having the driver, Wayan was a great service. He took us anywhere we wanted to go at any time, and was great for recommending restaurants and places to go. We were given a mobile to contact him and just had to call whenever we were ready to go somewhere. He was extremely friendly and professional.
The location of the villa is not fantastic, but this was not an issue as we had the driver to take us anywhere we wanted to go.
There was only one tiny thing that made the place not-so-fantastic which was the security dog, which was a little bit temperamental and could be a bit scary at times. However, it was then controlled quite quickly by the security guard so it wasn't too bad.
Overall the stay was extremely enjoyable and I would love to stay there again sometime. :-)

We are glad you had such a great time and found Wayan so helpful (many do say that!) and enjoyed the yummy food in the hamper. The villa is out of the hustle and bustle of Seminyak making it nice and quiet but as you say the driver is on call should you want a night out!
Mika (the security dog) isn't for everyone but she sure does her job well and the team at Mayana Villas love her to bits (she came with the builders who constructed the 5 villas!).

A great place to stay with family or friends! Wayan is an asset to the company to drive you wherever you would like to go! We had a wonderful time and felt completely relaxed. The Villa is great and very comfortable and all the staff at Leacott were very helpful and friendly! I would highly recommend Leacott Retreats to anybody!

Leacott Retreats was everything we needed for a great holiday. We were collected from the airport in a comfy air conditioned car, with a fabulous driver, Wayan, who we would come to think of as a friend and someone we would trust with our children.
On arrival at the villa we were greeted with a welcome drink and huge food hamper to keep us going for several days.
The villa was amazing with its big comfy lounge and big screen tv looking over the swimming pool. Leacott Retreats even organised temporary pool fencing for us to keep our 1 year old princess safe! The beds were comfortable with quality linen, the bathrooms were gorgeous and the kitchen was well equipped. The daily housekeeping staff were great.
The rice field between the villa and the road meant that there was no traffic noise. Although it was too hard to walk anywhere with 2 kids in tow, as the road to the local warungs is quite narrow and busy, we only had to make a phone call to the driver to take us wherever we wanted to go, and several nearby restaurants happily deliver.
There was really nothing more that we could have asked for. Anything we needed, like a massage by the pool, was easily organized by Paris, the guest services manager.

I have been raving about it to friends and family, the villa is great, comfortable and so clean, everyone is friendly, the driver was full of good suggestions, and having the driver and mobile with pre-programmed numbers was genius, it really took away the hassles with overseas travel and enabled us just to go surf, explore and have fun. We surfed the local beaches and Uluwatu Peninsula and my wife enjoyed going to the market with the driver at her disposal. I have been to Bali several times and this is the easiest way to experience it without spending all your time getting organised.

The extras at this villa blew us away; an amazing welcome hamper, including wine, beer and breakfast foods; a wonderful free driver for 10 hours a day (Wayan, you're the greatest); free wifi, a courtesy local mobile phone and free bicycles for guest use.
The villa itself is gorgeous. Set over two levels, it provides enough space for people not to trip over each other, with different zones to relax in.
The pool is small but absolutely stunning. It gets minimal sun due to lush gardens, so is cool to cold most of the day. It's difficult to sunbake around the pool (sun for under 2 hours a day), however the deck off the upstairs bedroom is a perfect sun trap for this.
All three air conditioned bedrooms have their own bathrooms, which is fabulous. The downstairs bathrooms are gorgeous, however, like most Bali villa's, there isn't enmough hot water to fill the bath.
The kitchen set up is good, although a meal more complex than breakfast might be a challenge due to limited bench space. Fortunately there are many, many places nearby to eat. The choices really are endless.
The villa is difficult to find as it has no signage, I suggest using the villa's own driver to collect you.
We had a mobility challenged guest stay with us, and he managed to get around the villa with his walking cane well. It's not suitable for wheelchairs though.
In a market where there are so many places to choose from, this villa is a stand out.
Note: Be aware that there is a security dog on the premises (outside of the villa fences) that barks during the night. We were woken every morning of our stay around 3am. Perhaps check if the dog is still there before securing your stay, unless you want to risk broken sleep.Response from Leacott Retreats - 08/12/2012

In regards to the barking dog, we are pleased to say this is no longer an issue. Though there is a security dog on premises, this is kept locked up in the evenings. The barking dog next door is now no longer a resident in the village, and should mean that next time you choose to stay with us you will have many peaceful nights of delightful sleep.

We just come back from our trip... and I feel sad to be back to work!!! Our stay was really relaxing, everything in the villa is perfect. My husband and I travel a lot across asia with our 7 months baby, and I have to say this has been ours easiest trip of all!! The house is gorgeous, and the free local mobile phone + 10 hours driver included is a great idea compared to other houses. We strongly recommend this place to all our friends and we will definitely be back!

The apartment is presented in immaculate fashion, in line with what you can expect from a 5 star property. The staff are friendly and do a great job of looking after your needs. Paris 'the driver' has over 20 years of experience and help you find the right places to help your dollar stretch. There are a number of convenience stores near by and a fully stocked international deli in the heart of Canggu.
Canggu is a quieter part of Bali, with the Villa situated in the middle of rice fields. Development is occurring to increase the number of high class restaurants and shops in the region. The drive to Kuta is about 20 minutes and gives you a nice buffer to the intense/busy side of Bali tourism. We will definitely be back as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Nearby restaurants will deliver to your door, so you can virtually sit back and enjoy the pool.
I have to say I was originally a little skeptical with no wall between the pool and the main living area, but we have traveled with a 5 and 2 year old and had no issues. In fact its probably improved their awareness of water.
Last but not least its great to have a driver included in the package as you have comfort that you have a friendly person to pick you up at the airport, so that you don't have to fight for a taxi or feel that you are getting fleeced straight off the boat.Response from Leacott Retreats - 08/12/2012
