This two bedroom, two bathroom apartment is excellently located on the Rue Meynadier in the centre of Cannes, minutes away from the famous Croisette with its chic boutiques and private beach clubs. It has a small balcony with lovely views of the port!
The apartment is situated in an old Canneoise building dating back to the early 20th Century and is on the first floor, there is no lift. The area is typically French with bustling restaurants and cafes on the Rue Meynadier. The decor is modern and tasteful.
The apartment has an open-planned reception room that has a sofa-bed, coffee table, a dining table with 6 chairs. This room o...pens out on to a small balcony which looks over the port and the sea. There is also a TV/DVD player.
The Kitchen is fully fitted with a microwave, a hob, an oven, a fridge/freezer, a dishwasher and a washing machine. There is enough crockery for 6 guests.
The main bedroom has one double bed, a fitted wardrobe, a TV/DVD player fixed to the wall. This bedroom also has its own en suite bathroom with a shower and a bath.
The second bedrooms has 2 single beds and has also an en suite bathroom with a shower.Read more
Even though located at a great spot, being on the fist floor it means that you get all the noise and the smells from the restaurants and people on the street coming inside. Therefore it's really impossible to open the windows or the (tiny) balcony's door during the summer months, without getting a headache.
Also the apartment is located over a butcher's shop that has a back entrance and a storage place inside the building. That means that during working hours in order to get to your appt through the building entrance it's very likely to meet people carrying huge pieces of fresh meat, or find the tiles in the entrance stained with blood. The smell of meat also adds another "hostel" like quality to the place.
As for the apartment it's nicely decorated, but nothing special, the biggest problem being not having enough closets to fit your clothes.
my roommates also had some insect issues but as i didn't see any crawling around I can't testify to that, but it seems that it's not so unusual to meet them in Cannes apartments.
Also as with most of Cannes departments, cleaning services and changing bedsheets and towels is obscenely expensive.
Given the price of the apartment and the problems we faced I wouldn't stay there again, especially for longer periods
Very satisfied with apartment and service
