Welcome to Hopper's House ~ an enchanting cottage in Cannon Beach, Oregon. The restoration of this historic 1916 Oregon beach cottage was completed in October of 2012. Consummate care was taken to preserve original features such as the fir floors, tongue and groove wood interior and light fixtures. Even the old-fashioned push-button light switches which were installed early last century will charm guests who appreciate the modern amenities of this century.

The main floor has an open concept living, dining and kitchen area designed for friend and family togetherness and intimate group gatherings. Whether guests are cooking, dining, watc...hing TV, playing games, listening to music or just sitting by the whimsical rock fireplace, they can enjoy a cozy communal space.

Access to the south-facing deck adjacent to the dining area allows guests to expand their activities outdoors to include sunning, reading, napping on the chaise lounge, or grilling on the natural gas grill. Not a deck person? The winsome front porch is a great place to pull up the rocking chair and read or watch the occasional beachcomber stroll by.

An old-fashioned queen-sized iron bed and desk define the charming bedroom on the first floor. Sleeping accommodations on the second floor include two bedrooms - one with a queen-sized antique wrought iron bed, rocking chair and desk - and one with a twin-sized daybed with pop-up trundle. All mattresses are Tempurpedic with the exception of the pop-up trundle.

Bathrooms on both floors feature restored vintage sinks, toilets from the turn of the century as well as old-fashioned curtain showers with luxurious rainheads. For the guest’s comfort old-fashioned hex tile floors are supplemented with electric heat.

Hopper's House has an elegant gourmet kitchen with soapstone counters and farmhouse sink. A pro-line duel-fuel range and french door refrigerator will keep the cook happy and the clean-up crew will appreciate the built-in Bosch dishwasher. Supplies include stainless pots and pans, high-end cutlery, an array of cooking utensils, blender, food processor, Crockpot, stock pots, broiling pans, cookie sheets, muffin pans, casserole dishes, mixing bowls, waffle maker, and much more. Tableware, utensils, serving bowls, platter and other supplies are provided for dinner or beach feast. Those who imbibe will find the stemware and equipment necessary for enjoying cocktails, etc.

Guests just might find that Hopper’s House is the quintessential Oregon cottage rental.

Hopper's House is located just steps from the beach and just north of the famous Haystack Rock. Guests can park their car and walk to just about everything Cannon Beach has to offer.

  This rental property is one of the most gorgeous houses I have ever rented. I do a lot of traveling and usually tend to rent a home as opposed to a hotel or B&Bs.; The location itself is enough to make anyone swoon but once you step inside this charming cottage you don't ever want to leave. All the amenities are high end from the kitchen to the bathrooms and of course the most comfortable bed and pillows I have slept on apart from my own home. My favorite part of the house had to be the interior decor and the gorgeous stone fireplace that rarely went unlit my entire stay. I loved the giant front porch to sit on and listen to the rain or watch the sunrise with a cup of coffee. This cottage is literally steps from the beach and from so many restaurants and shops. I couldn't imagine a better rental property for either a romantic getaway, girls weekend or a family retreat. Also I had the pleasure of meeting the homeowner herself and she couldn't be more accommodating and helpful with directions or restaurant suggestions. This will be a place my family will enjoy for many years to come.
