We loved the home, the space and location. Some of the appliances need to be updated (stove, dryer and barbecue) Regardless, we had a wonderful stay.
A Family Gathering

The house was an excellent place to stay. It was close to the beach.I really like that the family left a notebook for things to do in the area and the restaurants to try while you are staying there. The house was very clean. It had a warm feeling just like being at home. When I rented the house the people at Cannon Beach Vacation Rentals were very helpful. You know that they really wanted to make your stay a memorable one. Back to the house, it was very spacious. It had everything you needed for your stay. I would recommend using Cannon Beach Vacation Rentals. I would rent this house again if and when I get back down to Cannon Beach.

This beach house is less than 200 yards walk to the beach. Set in a quite location, there is no traffic on the street and close to a store for grocery items. The house is very well accomodated with anything that you would need to cook, read or play games. Childrens toys are also available. You literally just have to bring food and yourself! I will return next year.
Great location- ants a problem though

This is a nice house with a beautiful view of the water very close to the beach at a reasonable rate. We enjoyed our Thanksgiving stay in the open concept upper floor living/kitchen/dining.
The biggest downside was the ants which were crawling in the downstairs beds, bedroom and bath when we arrived, and throughout our stay. The ants were less conspicuous upstairs, but they were all over our things in the upstairs bath and crawling on our laptop. You absolutely must put everything in the fridge or wrap it up carefully, which we did, so we didn't have an issue with them getting into our food.
If you need high speed internet, then this might not be the place for you either as it took email attachments a very long time to download, and we could not watch Hulu or Netflix due to slow internet speed. Read more
Response from Cannon Beach Vacation Rentals - 06/14/2012
Dear Guest, Thank you for your very clear review. Since your stay, we have had the entire house treated for the ants you mentioned with excellent results. We have had numerous guests in Nomad's End in recent months and have asked about ant problems following their stay. All have reported that there was no evidence of ants.
We hope you will return soon to enjoy this great house again. Also since your stay, the owners have added some great deck furniture and made other up-dates to Nomad's End.

This is my second stay at Nomad's end. Each time I have stayed with 4 other people and we found the house to have room for privacy, plus lots of room to cook and entertain. Everything worked and was found to be clean and well maintained.
The property was updated since the summer of 2009 with a gas grill and living room furniture.
It is very comfortable and affordable choice. The only thing that might be a problem are the stairs to the main living area: a person will need to be able to navigate them.
Nice family rental

This house was very nice for families with small children. The master bedroom closet was large enough to fit a pack and play for our infant and the kitchen/living area were very open to allow the kids to roam while we prepared food. Recommend that you bring a baby gate to block the top of the stairs. Only downside is that the house has sugar ants so it was important to securely store all our food so the ants wouldn't get into it.

Convenient location and plenty of room for grandparents and a 3 year old.
Quiet setting that wasn't busy. Beach a short distance as well as a bakery
(yum!) and store and restaurants.

We were 3 families sharing this home: grandparents, kids, and grandkids, some visiting from Denver, CO. It was a lovely, spacious home, and greatly enjoyed by all of us. Easy walk to the beach and Haystack Rock nearby! Everything went smoothly and the service friendly and helpful. Great get-away for us!

Close to the beach. Nice homes with comfortable beds, furnishings and view of the ocean. It's also airy and bright. Definitely a home to come back to at another time

this was the first time I even rented a home and I know I will do it again. I would stay at Nomad's end again. It was such a comfortable place, bright and airy and close to the beach. We gathered to have a memorial for my brother, it was his birthday, and he had died in September. Cannon Beach was his favorite place in the world.
Having such a lovely home as a place to stay and be with family just helped keep our spirits high at this emotional time.

Nomads End was a really nice place to stay. It was quiet, shaded, cool and had all the appliances that were required. The supply of linens and towels was more than adequate.
Be sure to look under the counter facing the TV because there are charcoal briquets and BBQ tools stored there.
The property is elevated enough that you can sit on one of two outside decks and see the ocean. The walk to the ocean is very short.
The item my wife liked the best was the "HUGE" king bed in the master bedroom.
I liked the walk-in closed in the master bedroom because it made the stay feel more like home.
There was some confusion on the password to hook up my laptop, but the rental agency sent an IT tech to the property and he reset the password.
I wanted to listen to classical music and the cable connection had a lot of static. That was my only disappointment.
The property is really spacious even with 8 people and I would highly recommend it for a family and a pet. Being pet friendly was the key reason we stayed at Nomads End.

We truly enjoyed Nomads End. The house is beautiful and the view of the ocean is wonderful. This was my first time renting a house instead of a room and it was worth every penny. It rained every day but we still managed to get a break or two to roam the beach. We brought along our furry friend and it was a joy to watch her run around on the beach. I would recommend Nomad's End to anyone looking for a home away from home. It is the perfect beach house.
Roomy yet comfortable

The house was clean, comfortable and very roomy.
We had 5 adults and everyone had their space if needed.
It is a short walk down to the beach and at the end
of a quiet street.
