Drift on Inn to paradise! This beautiful ocean-view home is located in the quiet residential village of Arch Cape, 5 miles south of Cannon Beach. It sleeps 10, and is just 1 1/2 blocks to the beach! With a lovely upper deck facing west, and a covered lower deck, enjoy the scenery, rain or shine.
An incredibly spacious reverse floor-plan offers plenty of room for large families or groups. Upstairs is a bright and open living area, complete with gas fireplace, TV/DVD/VCR, comfortable seating, and ocean view. It opens to the deck which has a grill and picnic table. This was our first vacation at the Coast since we moved to Oregon from out-of-state three years ago. I knew nothing about the "Drift on Inn" that we booked for rental, and it met our expectations and then some! The home was spacious, clean, and well-stocked. There was plenty of room for our entire extended family and we never felt crowded. The location of the house is beautiful. Arch Cape is about 5 min. south of Cannon Beach, so there aren't any restaurants or shops within walking distance, but the beach was super-close and was gorgeous! The only negative thing I could say is that the description boasts an "ocean view," but this was not really true. I suppose if you stood on your tippy-toes and craned your neck. But we didn't mind at all. We would definitely stay here again!

Our third year in a row of renting this great house. Sad to learn it is for sale and will no longer be available.
Please find us a similar house for third week august 2011 --
four bedrooms min., internet, somewhere between arch Cape and Cannon, some view of ocean, within couple of blocks of beach, not over $2,800. -

We first rented the Drift on Inn in 2005 and it has been a vacation we have looked forward to every year since. The house is beautiful with comfortable beds and lots of areas to relax. The kitchen has nearly everything to make a gourmet meal. What else can I say? Its a gem!

We love this house! We've rented it for 6 years now and always enjoy coming back. It's like coming home for us. We all have plenty of room and it's a perfect distance fromt the beach. Great place to stay!

We stayed for 7 days/nights at the Drift- Inn gathering together for a fun "reunion" as family drove from Boise, Seattle, and Eastern Oregon in order to spend a relaxing and enjoyable week together. The house was perfect for all of us to rest and play and fellowship together! We cozied up by the fire, played games at the table, walked to the beach many times, and were able to cook and enjoy family meals together in the spacious kitchen and table. We were able to sleep comfortably as there were enough rooms and space for all 11 of us. It was a wonderful family memory and one that we are hoping to keep as a yearly tradition! Thank you! Can't wait to come back!

Our vacation was for a wedding at hug point. Most of our family stayed at the drift on inn. It was perfect for multiple families. The layout was great and it was so nice and clean. Thank you for opening your home to us. We will most definately rent again when back to the coast.

Great house a short walk to the water, and a short drive to Cannon Beach. Very clean and decorated modestly. We had fun with some of the puzzles and read a few books. It really felt like home! The downstairs bedrooms felt a little "basement-like" but we got over it quickly.

We had a great time at the Drift on Inn. It was perfect for our 2 families to share. It was close to the beach, which was great for dragging all of our gear. Loved the kitchen, it was great to be able to cook and still hang out with everyone. It was great that the kids could hang out in the downstairs living area and the adults could hang out upstairs. Loved the balcony - great for cocktails in the afternoon with steaks grilling on the barbeque. The creek nearby was a hit with the kids; they spent hours mucking around in it. All in all, a great home with a great location!
