Space was plenty big for 2 or 4. You can see the ocean, and the beach is barely a block away. Parking limited to one car, but we didn't have a problem parking on the streets toward the beach.
Would definitly recommend this unit. Note there is a coffee maker, and a bar fridge. a kettle and a toaster would be a nice addition.
Thanks Cannon Beach VR for the coffee, delicious.
See you again.

My teenage daughter and I love Cannon Beach. On a single mother's budget it can be a challenge to get away to quality places. Last april we found Dolphin South and fell in love, not only with the place but with the location and price! This year my daughter begged to go back. So when we went online to booked Dolphin South it was already booked. This was no surprise! So we decided to stay in Dolphin North. It was really a much bigger space with just a tiny price difference. We loved it and every minute we were at the beach There is only a microwave and a small fridge, which is heaven for me, because it means no big cooking and realy relaxing. We will return again for as long as it is avail. I had only one small issue with Dolphin North and that was the porch lights have to be left on for safety. I am a light sensative person and the porch light lights up the bedroom. Next time I will bring a dark sheet and it will be complete heaven on earth! We love this place! It is an easy walk to the beach and close drive to all that Cannon Beach and Seaside have to offer a family on vacation. We cannot wait until the next time we can get away! I highly recommend this place to anyone!

Dolphin Inn North is a one bdrm unit w/ a Scandanavian feel, very open, great windows and light. Renters need to be able to navigate steep stairs. We particularly enjoyed having a peek at the ocean. One morning I saw the moon rise. The jacuzzi tub was a great touch. Because the description said living/kitchen/dining area we made the assumption there was a kitchen sink. There is not.

My entire family had a lot of fun staying at the Dolphin Inn North. It's hard to tell on the map, but if you are familiar with Cannon Beach it is located just south of the Tolovana Inn.
The actual Inn had plenty of room for my wife and our two children who were seven and two at the time. The only downside was there is not a kitchen. But we knew that going in and we brought food to cook on the BBQ they have outside for guests to use. There is a small refrigerator that you can put some things into but I would recommend bringing a cooler or two for other things.
Most of the time we drove and parked at the Tolovana park and went to the beach, it's really a 1 minute drive from the Inn.
The Inn is bigger than what I expected from the pictures on the website. I would recommend this to almost anyone. Keep in mind, you will have to walk up some steps to get into the Inn, I'd say 20 of them or so.

The only downside to this place was that it doesn't
have any kitchen facilities besides a coffeepot, mini
fridge, and microwave. But I knew that before, so we
adjusted accordingly. We're already preplanning
another trip, hopefully using the same place, for

The people with Cannon Beach Vacation Rentals were so helpful, they really cared about getting us the place we wanted to stay for our vacation.
We loved the pictures we saw online of the Dolphin Inn. But When we arrived it was even more than we had hoped. It was so beautiful and so peaceful.
It was such a beautiful view from the deck and just a quick walk to go down and walk along the beach.
We loved that the house was so homey and so comfortable. The kids loved the murphy bed, they fought over it and we had a good laugh watching them go crazy over the place and the view.
I would definately stay with them again and refer them to a friend.
great little get away if you did not mind eating out for meals

I enjoyed my stay. I would love to have had utensils that were not paper plates and paper cups. Include maybe ceramic cups, 2 for coffee and a few utensils that are not plastic. I loved the glasses for the wine. Also I would have appreciated a toaster and a kettle to make tea. Thanks! but the space was great and the flexibility in sleeping furniture was great. I also enjoyed the view of the ocean from the main windows as I looked beyond the houses. It would have been great to have had a gas barbecue that could be used either on the deck or outside in the back yard.

I enjoyed the spaciousness, the locaton and the comfort of the room. I understood when I signed up that there was no kitchen, but I figured we could still do sandwiches and coffee. The fact that there was no sink was a giant bummer. The rental agreement mandates that you wash all the dishes, and that was not feasable in the bathroom! I would be reluctant to recommend this room to anyone staying longer than overnight because of this simple limitation. Just a simple sink in the corner would solve this, and save a huge repeating mess in the bathroom!
The entire rental process from looking at the website
to making final arrangements was a good experience.
The staff was very helpful. This home has a
beautiful garden to view each time you come and go.
We really liked how open and spacious the main living
area was with its many windows giving a great view.
The walk to the beach access was easy and close. The
only thing that we wished it had was a little more of
a kitchen area, including a sink. Overall we enjoyed
out stay very much!!

This was interesting place to stay at first we got to Cannon Beach and found the rental place right off Hwy 101. Very nice and helpful staff. The place was awkward at first since the door you have to get into is located in the rear of the building. We went to the wrong door and the owners answered, very nice couple by the way, and redirected us to the correct one. Very nice, open and bright place. Very clean and well kept up. There is a bathroom with a stand up shower and a Jacuzzi tub in which I never got a chance to use when we stayed there but the only complaint is that there was no curtains-just a see through window. To the left when you walk in. On the right is the bedroom with a queen bed, tv, vanity and a huge walk-in closet. This used to be a bed and breakfast home-now converted into a rental. The second door to the right leads to the old stairs going into the first story where the owners live. Then you have a living room with a combined dining room and mini kitchen. There is a couch that turns into a bed and a Murphy queen bed as well! The kitchen has a mini refrigerator, microwave and some dishes. In order to clean the dishes you have to go to the bathroom sink. It was really quiet, which is nice! The walk to the beach is about 2-3 blocks. Just down the street from Mo's Chowder restaurant. We had a wonderful time and hope to come back soon! Next time I want to take a bath in the Jacuzzi. I highly recommend this place to anyone!

I had never stayed in a vacation rental home before staying in the Dolphin Inn North.
We had to pick the keys up at the Cannon Beach Vacation Rentals office.
A mini-fridge, microwave, coffeepot, and basic dishware are provided. It does not have a stove, oven or kitchen sink. My advice is to bring food that you do not have to cook, if you don't want to cook it in the microwave. We ate out at restaurants for meals that we wanted cooked.
I don't know if I had assumed that the Dolphin Inn North was a Bed and Breakfast, but for some reason, I got the impression that it was. It is not. They do not serve breakfast.
I would recommend this house, if you want to spend a lot of your vacation on the beach or visiting the shops downtown.
"Chosen as one of the top beaches in the United States by the Travel Channel, Cannon Beach combines spectacular scenery, fine dining, art galleries, and full spa services, the perfect place to visit for a few days or even weeks. Haystack Rock is the most famous landmark of this quaint seaside village, but other attractions in the immediate area include Ecola State Park, Indian and Cresent Beaches, the Bird Rocks and Silver Point. Miles of beaches snuggle up to beautiful wooded areas offering lovely hikes through America's Northwest rainforest.
"For a day adventure, jump in your car and head down the coast, enjoying special stops along the way such as the Tillamook Cheese factory, whale watching, bird watching, and fresh seafood brought to your table right from the ocean" (taken from http://www.cannon-beach.net/).

This vacation rental was excellent. It was pretty well priced and close walking distance to the beach, a restaurant, and also pretty close to the town. I loved visiting cannon beach and if I go back which I am sure we will, we will definately go through Cannon Beach Vacation Rentals again!
A few plates, cups and silverware are provided but the only place to wash them is in the small bathroom sink or the tub. A small kitchen sink should be added.
Also, no lighting on the back stairs which makes it a bad accident waiting to happen.

This was a perfect fit for our family. The owners were WONDERFUL and made a difficult beginning much better. The price was great and we will plan to stay again when we're in Cannon Beach! Thanks for the great experience!
