Easy to check in and easy to find. It is in a quiet neighborhood (a little road noise from highway 101). Within walking distance of beach and seafood. Long ways to the actual town. Nice, clean and convenient.

I stayed at Dolphin Inn during transition when I was moving to Cannon Beach. It was a welcoming experience at a great price and the office staff were very kind and helpful! Good place to stay for a weekend or long stretch. The bed was very comfortable and enjoyed the balcony. The welcoming package with Sleepy Monk coffee was a nice added touch I will definitely recommend it to friends.

Charming w/woodstove, micowave-only kitchen, great double bed, close to beach, but best for longer stay: nonrefundable $35 cleaning fee + $25 "processing fee" (!) amortizable over several days would make this a real bargain in pricey Cannon Beach. Highly recommended.

Kennewick, WAMy stay at Cannon Beach was very pleasant.
Left on 04/11/2011 for a stay in March 2011
The room was a lot bigger than I had expected it to be. The bed was very comfortable, you could even see the ocean laying in bed. My only complaint was the ant infestation problem. I can say the least that I was disappointed to wake up one morning and go to eat my VooDoo doughnuts that I waited outsided for an hour and half in Portland for had been maliciously attacked by ants. Not only that but the ants also made there way to my coffee pot so I could not have my morning cup of joe either. But besides that the ocean itself was amazing. I love Cannon Beach so no matter where you stay it well worth it.

Dolphin Inn South is located in a quiet area a short drive from downtown Cannon Beach and offers a very pleasant room at a reasonable price, which is a hard combination to find in Cannon Beach. The room is like a cozy mother-in-law apartment with a private entrance, equipped with a microwave and small refrigerator. It does not have a cook stove, if you need one.
With windows on 3 sides, it was cheery, comfortable and quiet. We hope to stay there again, and it will be the first place we check for lodging on returning to Cannon Beach. -

Quaint and comfortable. The other reviews here are accurate so I knew what to expect. Cbvr is great to work with. The ocean view is subtle - the property is across the highway from the water - but it's a quick 2 block walk to the beach. The only thing I'd change is more comfortable seating - the wicker furniture didn't do it for me. Bottom line: I'll be coming back to this property again.

Dolphin South was perfect for our trip to Cannon Beach for a wedding. The space was small, but clean and the bed was super comfortable. It was really close to the beach and good food.

We found Dolphin South to be a comfortable retreat from the bustle of downtown Cannon Beach. Everything worked well, the bed was great, and the view from the deck was serene. It would be nice to have a more comfortable couch or chair to sit in, but other than that everything was fine. It would be fun to stay in the winter just because of the coziness.

Th Dolphin was perfect for what we were looking. It was comfortable and big enough for a couple. Was quiet with the sound of the ocean (traffic wasnt really a problem).
We didnt eat in the room so facilities were fine. We liked the feeling of being off on our own when not in town.
And you can see Haystack Rock from the deck!

Check in was super easy, locations are a snap to find. Convenient to everything around town and the beach. Very clean and well kept. The wicker furniture needs to be replaced with a sofa or love seat and a recliner it is very uncomfortable. Bed is comfy and warm. Would stay there again.

When my 16yr old daughter and I arrived at Dolphin Inn South we were both quite pleased. It was perfect!
The location was great and less than 5 minutes walking distance to the beach!
As for the traffic...don't let that stop you from renting this place...it was not an issue!
I loved that it had a window in the bathroom with a view of the garden (very well kept and landscaped so beautiful)
Thank You for the Welcome Gift (Sleeping Monk Coffee) I am not a coffee drinker so I brought it home for my husband and he really likes it!
The sand castle festival was amazing!! If you plan on going in June next year..check out the dates for when that will be held..its a must see event!!
Thanks again and we will be back! -

We very much liked this low-cost alternative to pricier digs on the beach (this place is a block from the beach). We found it to be comfortable, clean, and very spacious. A lot of character in the sometimes elclectic decor. V. comfy bed. The managers are very helpful, too!

Southwest WashingtonA Memorable Anniversary Get-Away
Left on 11/07/2009 for a stay in October 2009
On short notice, my wife and I decided to spend our 25th wedding anniversary at the Oregon Coast. After reviewing the information available on-line, my wife called Cannon Beach Vacation Rentals. The individual who took the call was very courteous, kind and helpful. With the ease of a brief phone call our romantic celebration plans were set.
Dolphin Inn South is off the beaten path, but easy to find. The home-like unit welcomed us with all the warmth and privacy of our own home. Our mezzanine studio unit was cute and cozy with more than ample room for the two of us. My wife and I enjoyed the diverse and beautiful views from our unit. The back yard garden and adjacent wooded area provided a sense of natural beauty, while the not-to-distant ocean surf calmed us as we watched wave upon wave and the listened to the sounds of surf and seagulls in the distance.
Cannon Beach is less than two hours from our home in Washington state and one of our favorite places to visit. This was our first stay at a Cannon Beach vacation rental. The comfort and convenience made our anniversary celebration a memorable one. I liked that Dolphin Inn South was not located on a busy thoroughfare, but in a quiet residential type setting. The many blossoming flowers in the yard were very attractive and fun to photograph. Although we ate out at several wonderful dining establishments during our stay, we do like to eat in as well. The unit we stayed in was limited regarding kitchen facilities with only a microwave, automatic coffee maker, very small refrigerator and restroom sink at our disposal. However, the limited kitchen facilities did not really detract as they reminded us of the early times of our 25 wonderful years together.
Thank you Cannon Beach Vacation Rentals and Dolphin Inn South for a very memorable celebratory experience that we will cherish for years to come.
Sincerely,
Quarter of a Century Lovers

This was our first trip to the Pacific coast and we loved it! Cannon Beach is perfect. We found CB Vacation Rentals on line. The advertising was honest, easy to rent, courteous welcome upon arrival. The gift basket was a real surprise, and very nice. Bed and shower were excellent. A bit difficult (and not very nice) to have to wash dishes in the bathroom sink. Otherwise, it was great.

Dolphin south is a cute, little place that is comfortable for a short stay. The rental agency was so kind is giving us a cute cooler bag, mugs and coffee complimentary. We enjoyed the outside deck and the view to the ocean. The rental is very close to everything you need. I also liked how we could open all the windows for a nice, cool ocean breeze. If anything was changed, perhaps a more comfortable couch could be put in the rental. Overall, is a cute condo for two. Nothing too fancy but has everything you need.

This upstairs room was a great space for two people. Very close to the beach, (easy walking distance) and on the 'quiet' end of town. The store and bakery were also walking distance. The only drawback was that the only sink was in the bathroom, which made doing dishes a little awkward. No real kitchen, just a microwave and tiny fridge.

I loved this place, clean and quiet and beyond adorable; it feels like a home.
The office personnel were very sweet and easy to work with, and the welcome package in the room was fantastic, a really lovely extra touch.
I would have liked a better indication of where this property was located when I made the reservation--it is pretty far south, a few blocks south of Mo's--but there didn't seem to be a way to find this out until check-in. The property is on a lovely, quiet street and there is even a slight view of the water between houses. I didn't find it to be inconvenient with a car, but be aware that you are definitely not within walking distance of downtown. -

"+"This is a nice room. It was very clean. The bed and the pillows were very very comfortable. I liked the fact that the room had so many widows. You get morning and afternoon sun.
"-" The decoration is a bit too much. The walls are so busy. However, some people may like that. The bath tub's drain was very slow. I hope this is a temporary problem.
"---"The biggest complaint is that you can hear the traffic ALL day long until late at night. We had to leave the house for most part of the day because we couldn't stand the noise. When we were back we kept all windows shut. This is not appropriate for a relaxing vacation.
This is unfortunate because we were looking forward to this vacation and hoped that we will find a quiet place also for future vacations.
Suggestion: have a note online that the house is near the highway. People will appreciate that.
So I rate this home with 3 stars but the issue with the noise should be very clear. -

Left on 08/04/2009 for a stay in July 2009
The Dolphin South was perfect for us. Our kids had rented a larger home near the beach and we mainly used the Dolphin for sleeping and eating breakfast. Not having a kitchen sink was not a problem although it would have been nice to have one. The bed was fine as was the TV. This is a great place for a couple. We did not go to the beach by the condo but saw that if we had it would not have been too far for us to go. We do not get to Oregon too often but we would stay in Dolphin again. This was a memorable vacation.

I needed peace and quiet to recharge after a long illness. That is exactly what I got. I was able to have all my needs filled in this one place, be alone yet have comfort in knowing the owners were just a knock away if I needed something. I enjoyed sunsets from the balcony, garden view from the back. I would definitely return.

We love Cannon Beach, and were ecstatic to find reservations only 10 days in advance for an August weekend! The check-in staff was very cordial, and accommodations were neat and clean. It was warm, so we needed to have the windows open--and the highway noise from 101 was defininitely audible. I would recommend leaving a cell phone number as contact; we received email and home phone messages about how to check in after hours AFTER we returned home, and we got there just as they were closing the office! Overall a nice property for a reasonable price, but we probably wouldn't select again in the summer due to the road noise.

This was the least expensive place to stay in Cannon Beach so of course I was a little supsect, but no complaints to speak of.
Excellent Value, very tranquil, charming, cozy and comfortable. Enjoyed being able to walk to the beach and also was nice being tucked away off the beaten path.
Great place to decompress!!
