Thanksgiving Gathering
ColoradoGreat view, dated kitchen, not enough bedding
Left on 12/14/2011 for a stay in November 2011
This location is awesome for the view and basically comfortable inside, but we found it a bit overpriced given a few interior items. The house accommodates 8 people (and we had 8) with 2 king beds and 2 sofa beds. However, when we got there, there weren't sheets or pillow cases for the sofa beds and the extra blankets felt "dirty" and old. It was Thanksgiving weekend, so we had to make do for 2 nights before the rental office brought us sheets. Given the price of the house, we expected more from the kitchen... it is very dated and lacking kitchenware. We had 8 people and only 11 sets of silverware so found ourselves having to be very careful to use silverware sparingly. The dual master bedrooms were very nice. The dining area served us very well and the main living space was also very comfortable. But really the view was incredible and made it worth while. We just found ourselves feeling a bit like we paid too much given the bedding and kitchen situation.

Cannon Beach exceeded our expectations. We had a terrific view, loved walking on the beach in the morning, watching the sunsets, and the town was adorable. Wish we had more time, our time was caught up with a lot of wedding celebrations. The house we rented had 2 master suites which turned out perfectly. The upstairs bathroom, the toilet precisely, was not clean but all in all it was a pleasant stay.

Edmonds, WashingtonWhat a View!!!
Left on 10/01/2010 for a stay in September 2010
At first glance, this house looks exactly as it does in the promo pics online--very welcoming, very nice. And the view is simply awe-inspiring.
At second glance, there were a few kinks: The house phone's ringer was not turned on. Until we figured that out, we missed a few calls. The bedrooms are wonderful. But if you have to sleep on the sleeper sofas, it's a little lacking in comfort.
The little TV in the den was not working, but a service guy came over (in a very timely manner) to fix that. The wiring for that TV looks a little suspect, but since everything worked and nothing caught on fire, I assume it's okay.
The access to the beach was a little dissapointing--there are steep steps that were difficult to negotiate for the older folks (one of them 85) in our group. We eventually got around it by accessing from the Ecola Inn area. The house is roomy--a wonderful dining area. We celebrated the 85th birthday of a relative from Germany there and had plenty of room for us (party of 4) and 4 additional birthday guests.
Some nice touches are the Dvds for kids.
Overall I'd say a very nice experience for a family vacation. -

Puyallup, WAThe house/view was beautiful.
Left on 08/11/2010 for a stay in July 2010
I was wondering why there was one room we did not have access to. I did not like the steep decline to get in to the garage. I would think we would have gotten a remote to the garage door. It would have been nice to have internet access.
I was impressed with the size of the master bedrooms & bathrooms. I loved the balcony in the bedroom upstairs. -

We really enjoyed the home. The only thing I would say, is that the carpet had many spots all over, so even though it may have been vaccumed it seems very dirt and not really wanting to walk on it.
I would recommend this agency to anyone and would rent again, and look forward to it. -

Portland, ORGreat location, but the property itself is very tired and worn.
Left on 06/24/2010 for a stay in June 2010
The views are spectacular. The close proximity to town is great. However, once inside, the property looked worn out. Everything from the carpets, blinds and paint, non-working TV, stereo, cable and wireless to the stuck door to the back deck needed repair, replacement, or removal. There were no less than 5 pizza cutters in the kitchen drawer, but not a single knife sharp enough to cut a tomato and not a knife sharpener in sight. This property should not be rented as a premium property. Cbvr was very helpful in trying to get things in order, but there was a lot to deal with.

The house was beautifully appointed. Everything was in working order except one bathtub which was fixed very quickly. The location was fabulous. Only three minutes to the beach, incredible views of Haystack. Light, airy rooms. One small issue was the steep driveway. Car bottomed out every time we drove in. It was a great house for us!!

We made a repeat visit to Cannon Beach and really enjoyed our stay the booking process was quite easy and the people helpful. The weather also helped by being dry all week with only one day of sea mist and one day cloudy. The house is very well equipped with a fabulous view of the rock - its just what it says on the can.
Plus points - easy access to beach, plenty of equipment in the house, great view
Not so good - no real outside space except for the upstirs deck, third bedroom is off living room. Longish walk to down town.
Oregon Coast just brilliant...

First of all we are very thankful to you for allowing us to stay 4 nights and 4 days. We know you rent the house for a week at a time and this made is possible for us to make the trip.
The house has a few things that we feel the owners may want to know about. First of all, there seemed to be a body order smell in the small bathroom off the diningroom. The blinds in the master bedroom are rusty (not sure if that can be helped) and the a screen in the master bedroom would not stay in place. The CD player wasn't working and the CD player that the rental office brought by did not play as well. We also felt that the sofa beds were a little rough to sleep on. For the price that the house rents for, it would be nice to have this looked at.
The spacious room and kitchen served us well. The upper bedroom and deck were awesome. Access to the beach was difficult for my sister in the wheel chair because we could not walk directly to the beach from the house. It would have been nice to use the gate and walk straight forward from the long driveway beside us.
The over-all experience was wonderful though and we have told others to look at the house.
Thank you for all your correspondence and help in making our vacation a success.

The whole process to rent the vacation home was so easy. And, when I decided we needed an additional house they were excellent in getting us a house that was right next door.

We were somewhat disappointed by the house at first sight as the driveway was on such a slope that we could only get one car in the garage. Parking was not allowed on the street and it was a bit of a hike down to the small parking area at the beach access. You need to disclose this potential problem to your renters.
The microwave in the kitchen was unusable. How much does a microwave cost??????Really....
You advertised the house as having a "gormet kitchen".
The door to the deck was in disrepair and very frustrating to open and close. I think the owners should have had more repairs done before they made the house available to rent.
We were unaware that the beach access was not available at the house. Another point to disclose to renters.
On a positive note, the views were incredible and the beds were very comfortable. It was nice to have 3 baths to accomadate everyone.
However, I would not rent the property again. -

We had never taken the whole family on a vacation before without so much planning and organizing... The house retal was a great fit for us... some of the kids came at the beginning of the week and some came at the end.
We would do this again. So easy to just pick up the keys and you are on vacation.. no hotel rules and so close to the beach. We loved all of it.

This is a great place to stay if you want perfect views of Haystack Rock and the ocean. The best part was fallin asleep to the sounds of the ocean. The house was nice, but there were some minor improvements that, hopefully will be completed by the end of 2008. I recommend the owner and property manager discuss the minor improvments (such as walls, facuets and water heater) that need to be made to justify the weekly rental price. I would recommend the renter ask the property manager if the improvements have been completed. Don't get me wrong, the place was great, and I would almost highly recommend.
