The weather was blustry but not uncomfortably cold. The power went out on the evening that we checked in. The maintenance man came and relit the fireplace...within minutes after we called. The power came back on and all was well the remainder of the stay. The home is extemely well suited for a large family. The kitchen was ideal for cooking our Thanksgiving meal. It was the best thanksgiving we ever had. Thanks!!

We were well received when we arrived and all that we asked for was in the home. We requested a blender and it was there and we were pleased to find beach toys. The home was very spacious. We would have enjoyed another full bath but the home was as advertised. We managed fine. It was very clean, well appointed and truly felt like a home, not a typical rental. The location was super...we were able to ramble down the beach to see the tide pools which were wonderful and yet we were close enough to Cannon Beach, the village, to go in there by van. We enjoyed this as it made the home quiet and the trip to town a fun adventure. Would I come back? Yes, if we decide to make another trip to Oregon and spend time at the beach I will be touch. Florida is a long trek so we think twice before we make long adventures.

We've stayed in this house at least 4 times over the last 6 years. With 4 bdrm, a loft and 2.5 baths it great for our extended family. It's one house off the beach so beach access is easy even w/ little ones. It has lots of separate space for reading (no TV in the large living room - Yeah!), games, TV/movie viewing etc ifor the times when the weather is less than perfect - not uncommon on the Pacific NW coast. The staff at Cbvr are courteous, helpful and make check-in and check-out almost instantaneous - they don't waste on minute of your vacation, something I really appreciate while the family is waiting in the car.

Every fall the women in my family and a few close girlfriends head for Cannon beach for a long weekend together. We have stayed in several places in the past 12 years, but the Pacific Tides has become our favorite place to stay. I believe this year was our 4th year in a row at the Tides.
The home is spacious, bright, clean and very nicely furnished, including a cozy fireplace, nice stereo system and decent ocean views. The kitchen is very spacious which we love because several in our group love to cook and there is lots of room for everyone. We do wish they would trim that big tree right in front that gets larger every year and is now partially blocking the view. We did have to call for extra bedding and fresh pillows for the two hide-a-beds, but they were delivered promptly to us.
We plan to make the Tides our permanent vacation home as long as it continues to be available because it so nicely meets our needs. We have such wonderful memories of our stays there. Thank you!

Nice home, great location

This great home located right across from the beach access has 3
usable bedrooms and one with bunks that are barely useable. The
house over all was great but didn't accept pets. Someone had brought
their pets prior to our arrival and left them in the upstairs bedroom. It
smelled like pet urine all week which was bad since it was the 3rd
floor loft and was hot! I also thought this property was pretty
expensive given that no pets were allowed. I liked the location and
the size of the home but not sure I would go back there given the cost
relative to the cost of other homes in the area.

We stayed at the Pacific Tides for a family reunion. The house was
perfect! There is a first floor master bedroom - perfect for my
grandmother with her bad knees. There is a roomy bunk bed in
one of the lower floor bedrooms - perfect for my little nephew and
his parents. The top floor does not have a bathroom but the 2.5
bathrooms were plenty.
We cook a lot and I brought many pots, pans, knives and large
bowls that were unnecessary - the kitchen is very well stocked. The
outdoor grill worked well but we did not easily find any cleaning
supplies for it (however, the rental agent helped us with that). The
rest of the house is well-stocked with cleaning supplies and
Access to the beach is easy and there are also views of the beach.
The great room is spacious and the fire place was a nice addition on
the one stormy night we had. The television is in the lower floor
common room which was perfect since it allowed us to enjoy each
other, the views and the spacious great room without the
distraction of TV. Those who wanted quiet time could go to a
bedroom and those who wanted television could go downstairs.
And those who wanted a balcony had two to choose from.
This home really had everything. All the relatives who visited
and/or slept at the house commented on what a great find it was!
great place, has everything

We upgraded to Pactides after finding our first rental choice to be unsatisfactory. We were so pleased with Pactides, that we will want to rent again. Great location, large sprawling house with plenty of choices for sleeping that allow privacy for families traveling together. Bright, clean, large kitchen and dining area. Great experience
