We found this beachhouse very nice with everything you could want in a vacation home. Very clean and stocked with everything we forgot like kites and board games. very short walk to the beach and haystack rock. Had to drive to downtown cannon beach but this was the only drawback i can think of.

Began with very efficient check-in at the office, followed by short drive to house. Very comfortable cabin set back from the street. Direct 2 block walk down the street to beach - easy for adults and teenagers, quick enough to run back to the house for various items throughout the day. Beach was great for sunset fire and marshmellows. House was great for rest and reading on the deck, good gas barbecue for burgers, and comfy eating area for meals. Kitchen small but adequate.
Efficient checkout. Look forward to future stays. -

House was dark. Lots of stairs. Kitchen was old. Houise was not very clean. Plumbing was not functioning properly. Smoke alarm fell off the ceiling in kid's room. Was no wood provided for wood stove. Only one chair provided on lower deck (great if you want to sit ALONE). Ants in the kitchen. Exterior lights did not work so we could not see the door to unlock it when coming home in the evenings. Only saving grace was the helpful staff.

Photographs don't do justice to Robars. It is a spacious, comfortable, charming house with a great floorplan and lovely location.

I stayed at this rental for my birthday with some friends, and we all loved
it. It was the perfect size, and loved the 3 level set up with the lofty
master bedroom. The deck and porch were great for our BBQ and with an
amazing view. It's blocks from the beach and in walking distance to a few
small mom-n-pop grocery stores. All of my friends LOVED it.
My only con to this rental (and might be the fault of the rental company)
was there was a major ant problem. We paid extra to have our dog with
us, and we couldn't leave his food on the floor for him before it was
covered in ants. I left messages with the rental company, never heard a
response. There was ant spray in the house so it is a known problem, but
it killed the excitement of this spendy vacation stay, to run around
chasing ants the whole time. Again, it might have been the season for
ants, but the rental company should have one-called me back, and two-
apologized in ANY way when I returned the keys and brought up the
incident, she shrugged it off as something that happens and they must
not have gotten to that property to spray yet, blowing me off. But when
we picked up the keys there was no mention of an any problem of any
kind. A head's up would have been great at least. We almost left because
it was that bad (I mean there were ants in the downstairs bed sheets!).
Let me be clear that the rental home was amazing and I would go back
again and again...if not for the unkind handling of the ant issue by the
rental company, which by this review shines a dim light on the rental
itself, but the home was wonderful! So hopefully the owners will raise this
issue with Cannon Beach Vacation Rentals, because their property was
awesome, and I would hate for them to lose more possible return visitors
because of this... -

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Robars. We liked the fact that it was obvious that the house was well cared for, owned by a family that valued children and thought about their needs. The view was great and the accommodations excellent! I would not have added one thing to the property. It had everything we needed! We will definitely return and enjoy the beach just across the road and the house's close proximity to town.

All 8 of us found the Robars Cottage to be exactly what we were looking for. We spent a great deal of time on the spacious deck and put the Weber BBQ to use for a fantastic meal. The location is ideal with the restaurant around the corner, the beach across the road and the surf just a quick drive away. We plan on making our trip an annual affair and hope to bring more people down to share in the fun!

This was a nice well equipped vacation home. We had guests from CA to join us & we all really enjoyed our stay, the Oregon Coast and our sons wedding :) I would be interested in renting this home again when we have guests.
