This cottage looked just like the pictures on your website. There were no surprises. We liked the location - nice walk to Haystack. The wood burning fireplace was very nice. We also enjoyed the beautiful landscaping and the view of the ocean from the dining room table.

My husband and I really enjoyed this rental property. We would definitely rent it again. However, our only complaint was the master bed. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. Also, the bedding was not soft or cozy. The kid's twin beds were very comfy and the bedding was soft. We thought about switching with them! All in all, we had a wonderful trip to the beach. The kitchen had almost everything we needed. A BBQ on-site would have been a nice bonus.

We spent 3 incredibly relaxing nights at Summer Tales! Cannon Beach Vacation Rental was a great help in booking the cottage which was very well equipped. We especially enjoyed the living room which had a comfy couch, large fireplace, tv/dvd, and lots of window from which you could look out to the ocean and trees. The location was convenient to walk down to the ocean and to a close country store. We would definitely go back here again and rent through Cannon Beach Vacation Rentals.

The rental office staff members were friendly. We did not have any issues checking in. We stayed at the house for about 7 days and we enjoyed our stay. we would definitely come back to this cozy place.
PROS: We noticed that there wasn't a gas grill even though it was indicated in the description. We called the rental office and they responded immediately with our request. you can step out from the backyard and walk 2 min. down the street to the beach. My spouse & I were the only ones living in the place. It was a perfect place for us. We enjoyed the bathtub immensely! The picture posted online doesn't give it justice and even when you show up to look at it, you think this is soo odd until you actually soak yourself in it. we loved it and wish we had a bathtub like it. There was plenty of hot water but we soon found out that filling up the bathtub can run out the hot water faster. The kitchen is fully stocked with napkins, rags, silverware, dishware cooking utensils, pans, blender, coffeemaker, coffee grinder, toaster. There was a supply of bathtowels, body soap, leftover body lotion from other guests. There was a washer and dryer that my spouse used once. The master bedroom mattress was a little soft for us but it was still comfortable.
CONS: Most of the days we actually went to the local grocery store/ farmers market and came back and cooked at home. We would like to have seen nonstick spray, cooking oil and a spice rack avl to use. I would assume that guest would leave this leftover and the rental office would keep these items for others to use. The master bedroom faces the main road, not the ocean. Though the house is far away from downtown, you will hear traffic in the morning. There were a lot of switches in the room and it was a challenge figuring out which ones worked for which lights and some didn't even work at all. -

Great, cozy rental home. The fireplace and couch were comfy and
made for a great reading spot to relax during the stormy weekend.
Easy walking access to the south end of the beach, but had to drive to
get to town. It's a cozy retreat for one-two people, with all the
amenities you could need for a great weekend get-away. -

My husband and 18 month old daughter and I stayed at Summer's Tale for a week. We had not so nice weather, but that didn't affect our experience at all. Cannon beach is lovely and Summer's Tale cottage was clean, well stocked and a good location. We really enjoyed smores by the fireplace on the cold nights and had an easy walk to the beach several times a day to enjoy the natural beauty.
