The Oregon coast is famed for its fresh, breezy climate, and many who visit praise the restorative effects it can have on a city-bound body. The fabled west winds that lend the North Coast its revitalizing air are close at hand from every angle of West Wind.
This cedar-shingled gem offers a pleasing take on the Oregon coast getaway. Located in a quiet area of Tolovana Park close to the water, this home is tailor-made for vacationers who want to maximize their beach time and drink in the views, and don’t mind getting cozy while they’re doing so.
A beach access is generously close at hand, and ocean vistas abound from in...side and outside this two-bedroom house. Don’t forget to keep an eye out for peek-a-boo-views of Cannon Beach’s most famous freestanding giant – Haystack Rock.
Inside, a white and breezy decorative motif lends the house a clean, fresh feel. West Wind abounds with charming nooks, delicate curtains and colorful floral artworks. And throughout, you’ll find yourself surrounded by the many colors and shapes of the sand and the sea.
A large, open kitchen, dining and living room area comprises the downstairs. And if you decide to brave the chilly Pacific waters and take a quick run into the ocean, you’ll be giving thanks for the living room’s gas stove, ideal for warming frosty feet while that pot of tea boils nearby.
The upper floor features two adjoining bedrooms capable of sleeping four, and the connected rooms are ideal for a family comfortable sleeping in close quarters. When it comes time to choose the place you’ll rest your head, you’ll have your pick of classic local views: the front room offers a peek of Haystack Rock, while the back bedroom offers a glimpse of the glittering ocean itself.
West Wind also boasts a grassy front yard with seasonally blossoming planters and an open, spacious front porch perfect for relaxing with a fresh cup of locally brewed coffee those early coastal mornings.
Life’s most definitely a breeze in this cheerful coastal home.

We were delighted to arrive at the adorable 2 bedroom/2bath cabin just steps away from the magnificent Pacific Ocean with a birds eye view of Haystack Rock. It was wonderful to be so close to nature and also have an easy drive to our adventures in town for shopping and great food. The house is located in a quite neighborhood, views from both upstairs windows to the ocean. It was very clean and had just the right amount of furniture for us to be comfortable and warm in this Hobbit House over the Christmas holiday.

This place is cozy, cute and close to the beach. We were only three houses away from the beach. In the mornings we would sit on the front deck drinking coffee while admiring the view of haystack rock. There are two bedrooms but you have to walk through one room to get to the other. It would work best for a single couple, or a small family. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the internet worked great. We will definitely stay here again!

Cannon Beach has a lot of vacation property management companies, but Cbvr takes the time to stand out. We were booked into a small bungalow, but they offered us this larger unit (West Wind) because the other half of the bungalow duplex was getting new flooring.
The West Wind unit was spacious, comfortable and had a ton of character to it. Cbvr had a bag of goodies on the table for us - coffee beans from a local company, two mugs, a $5 gift certificate to a few shops in town, and a cold-storage gorcery bag. Very nice! And, the place came with a coffee grinder!
We were in Cannon Beach for our first-year anniversary, and we had a special weekend. The unit was a short walk to the beach, and not too far from Mo's and Tolovana. We got there after hours, but the after-hours box was easy to use. The dead bolt on the West Wind door could use a little work, though - hard to turn.

We found the photos on line a little deceiving as the bedrooms appeared different in proximity of one another via internet.
The cabin was clean, minus the smell of dog. My mistake for not tuning into the "pets allowed" status on advertisement. My husband and I had to duck around corners as the ceiling were slanted and very low, but aside from that, it was full of character. I loved the location, and the quietness. The one thing I would recommend is that the owner opens up the laundry facility to the renters as they are paying a significant amount of $$/day and no access to laundry unless stated upon request. Overall good place to stay with small kids.

We reserved this rental with the intention of vacationing with another couple, since the property is listed as having two queen bedrooms. What I was unaware of until arriving is that one of the bedrooms can only be accessed through the other.
Needless to say, this is an undesirable arrangement for non-family members. I was very disappointed that this was not communicated in the property description nor was it communicated by the rental staff.
Although the house (duplex) is in a great location, and the kitchen is nicely equipped for a rental (with the exception of not having a dishwasher), I feel ripped off that we're paying so much to sleep on a futon in the living room.

For just the two of us, we found the cottage comfortable and clean. Although fulltime neighbors are very close they were very quite especially the tenant in the other half of the duplex - never knew she was there. The short walk to the beach was convienent as we brought along our dog. We would definitley book again. We had a great week - thanks.

I really think you should include square feet of rental in promotional material. Plus the fact that it is a duplex. If was fine for the two of us but would have been a hassle with any more occupants (our son canceled a visit because of business, but it was a relief rather than a disappointment).

We were pleasantly surprised with how well-equipped the cottage was. Even beach toys for my 3-year-old grandson! A quick 2-minute walk to the beach and a small front yard for our two dogs and we were set for outdoor space. I left the window in my 2nd floor bedroom open at night so I could fall asleep to the sound of the waves. We'll be back!

The folks at Cannon Beach Vacation Rentals were supper! We loved West Wind as it was close to the beach and a quaint place. Very homey and comfortable. The ceilings in the upstairs are low, so anyone of large stature might feel uncomfortable. We live in New Mexico, so wanted to experience some rain and watch the waves crash on the beach and we were not disappointed.

Our family was very happy at the guest house, Westwind. We made a full-on turkey dinner, the kitchen was ample in size. It was nice to have 2 bathrooms. The livingroom furniture was a little stiff for lounging around after our big feast. That was our only complaint. Oh, we would have liked to have had internet/wireless also. But overall we would return to this property, and would always do business with Cannon Beach Vacation Rentals....they are super to deal with. (Very accommodating).
