What an amazing idea. Loved saying I was staying in a tree house. It has everything you need inside and more. Loved the live tree growing inside. I can honestly say it was such a relaxing break. Really enjoyed having breakfast on the balcony watching the animals next door. Great walks near by, local pub very good value. It's so private sitting in the hot tub. I can honestly say I will never forget my stay here. Treat yourself and book up.

This place is absolutely beautiful. The whole experience was just perfect. The owners are lovely and extremely thoughtful with the little touches that they leave you on arrival. we stayed here for two nights and we literally did not leave it. Its fully self-catering, so we just picked up some food and drinks from the local shop and spent the time just chilling. The Hot tub was all ready for us to use as soon as we got there and there was a box of DVD's for us to use too.
I would and have already been recommending this place to anyone that will listen. it is the perfect answer to a very quiet chilled get away.
I would definitely return.

The Seven Dwarves meets Little House on the Prairie!
This was my surprise to Hubby for our Anniversary..it was great. Us time in a beautiful secluded setting , yet not too far from civilization. A short distance from Whitstable which we visited on the Sunday..and a hot tub to relax ourselves in after a busy day out, Facilities were great..and as a result of our time spent there we will definitely be going back..and have just bought ourselves a hot tub for the garden as we enjoyed it so much. Would recommend the treehouse to anyone...well worth the money .

Stayed at the Treehouse Hideaway for mine and my boyfriends 2 year anniversary just after we got back from the Isle of Wight festival as we wanted a night of luxury after a weekend in a tent! And luxury it was- we arrived to a personalised hamper with snacks and treats, and a bottle of bubbly in the fridge. The Treehouse was immaculate, gorgeous wooden interior, we felt comfortable straight away as it was very cosy. The pub next door is very friendly and welcoming also. We enjoyed our stay very much, the hot tub was an added bonus! You can tell Michelle and Chris, the owners, really care about the place as it is very well looked after. We will definitely be returning!

Amazing attention to detail - a different world
I bought a two night stay to the treehouse for my mum and dad as part of my mum's 60th birthday and their 40th wedding anniversary celebrations. They absolutely adored their time at the treehouse. They were in awe of the construction, attention to detail (such as the sinks). They loved the little window in the bathroom and how everything was thought of.
The only negatives they had were that on the morning of their second day, they were unable to use the hot tub or sit on the terrace as 3 or 4 garden maintenance men were working below the treehouse. They felt this spoilt the privacy and made them feel they couldn't sit outside or use the hot tub with the men working around them.
However that was the only negative and they have been recommending the treehouse to everyone they speak to. Read more

Many thanks for the review
In order to maintain the high standards we do try our upmost to carry out all maintenance on changeover days.
Due to the enormous popularity of the treehouse and to offer flexibility we do offer a change over day of your choice rather than a fixed day of the the week.
We do our upmost to ensure that we fit this in around guests being in the property when absolutely possible.
Apologies that this affected the morning of your stay.

Wow, Wow, Wow.....
As a surprise stay for my wife for our 3rd wedding anniversary I booked the Treehouse for a 2 night getaway. Initially my wife thought she was going to a Scooter Rally!! When we arrived, after much confusion of the route that the "satnav" had taken us, "I've never been this way to Leysdown before", said my wife!! I pulled up in the car park and pointed at the Treehouse, saying that, that was where we are staying. Cue the tears.....
When we got into the Treehouse we were both taken aback by its quirkiness. It was beautiful. The anniversary card, Kent produce hamper & cake were a lovely touch by Michelle & Chris.
We couldn't have asked for anymore to enjoy a 3rd wedding anniversary and the Treehouse certainly fitted the bill, perfectly.
We cannot rate this beautifully hidden away retreat enough...

Won a nights stay and it was brilliant. the tree house is cosy and beautiful great for a romantic get away. You have everything you need, lovely view across the wildlife park so could watch the Emu's wander and listen to the birds. Great base for exploring Whitstable and Herne bay, the harbour street shops were lovely and the beach huts in Herne bay so pretty. The welcome package was a lovely surprise as were the flowers in the bedroom, it feels like you are in the countryside but you are only a 10-15 minute drive from supermarket and restuarant and just the same to Whitstable and Herne Bay. Everything was just as the owners advised and we had no need to contact them as the instructions were clear and easy.
The Most amazing Birthday Escape
Wow just like everyone has said, this place is truly magical. From the moment you arrive everything has been taken care of, along with a hamper of special treats. We visited the pub one night for dinner and went for a walk in Blean Woods (need to drive there) but other than that we spent all of our time in the treehouse wanting to make the most if it. The log fire by the hot tub gave it that extra touch make it very cosy and romantic after dinner. Thanks for such an amazing stay we are definitely returning and have told friends in the process.
A small piece of heaven in Kent
This treehouse is the best bar none from the moment you arrive and see the small finishing touches to the sheer awe of the build.
Very thoughtful owners.
Have recommended today and they have just booked!
That says it all.

Lovely little hide away, very nice personal touches that make all the difference when looking to stay somewhere. Cosey and comfortable :)
Wonderful, unique, relaxing - Fantastic place to stay
I booked the 'Treehouse Hideaway' as a surprise for my husbands 50th birthday, I wanted something totally unique and private. The Treehouse delivered this on all counts and more. From the moment we arrived we felt at home and comfortable. the balloons, banner, birthday card and cake plus sparkling wine were a lovely appreciated added bonus. The hamper of local produce is wonderful (we loved the coffee and will be purchasing some for our home). The whole property is spotless and tidy with some lovely quirky features, our evenings watching dvd's on the huge screen with the log burner roaring followed by relaxing in the hot tub were fantastic... Then off to the land of nod in a very cosy bedroom in a lovely comfy bed = an extra long lay in the following morning. I could go on and on... Added to this that we were able to take our little dog with us too was just brilliant - she also loved it and spent her evenings asleep on the rug in front of the log burner!!! The pub next door (virtually) made us feel very welcome, served great beer and wine and they also allow dogs in the garden and the bar area.. The food at the pub was excellent both evenings. What more could we ask or want for... Nothing. We truly did not want to leave and my husband said he felt so relaxed... Which is unusual for him... On return home the same evening the deposit paid was already returned to my account... Great service again. Thank you to all who are involved in the upkeep and customer service you do a fantastic job. Will we be back... You bet!! I'm working on my husband already to get it booked... This time he is paying!! Thank you for a wonderful two nights and making my husbands birthday so special.
The treehouse was a great experience. Very clean and tidy.
The extra bits like the banner and hamper was a lovely touch.
Could not fault this place.
Would definitely recommend to anyone and also go again in the future.
Very quite and private.
Local pub had lovely food and made us welcome.
If you want to spoil your other half then this is the place to go! Amazing tree house with all the home comforts you could want and more! Will deffo be staying again :)
A little bit of uniqueness!
From the moment you arrive at the Tree House it's one surprise after another. The Tree House really needs to be seen, it is such a unique experience. The thought that has gone into creating this space is absolutely amazing as well as the standard of workmanship. Myself and my husband have just spent three nights at the tree house which has given us complete rest and relaxation. The hot tub is truly the cherry on top of the cake! The cinema screen, the underfloor heating, the fully fitted shower room and the kitchen which includes a dishwasher I assume are not the norm when it comes to living in a tree. As for Whitstable itself, we spent a very leisurely couple of days trying out various pubs and restaurants before deciding we needed some exercise so hired bikes and cycled a very nice flat route from Whitstable to Reculver and back again. Unfortunately the Petit Pouisson was closed on the day so made do with a coffee break, then a lunch break before turning round and heading home. All in all, a place I cannot wait to return to.

Tree House Hide away
What a fantastic experience, 5 star tree house with a personel hottub in a fantastic location near the coast and Whitstable Castle. A must go and do for everyone and one that I could not find fault. We Loved It!!!
The perfect relaxing retreat
The service offered by Michelle and Chris was superb, they are extremely helpful and communicative. The Treehouse was much better than I expected and it was fun making it a surprise for my partner to celebrate our anniversary. It is compact and cosy and has everything you need for a short stay. A perfect location too being based between Whitstable and Canterbury and has a good bus links to both. The Hot Tub was cool! Especially on a cold blustery evening with a bottle of plonk. Some instructions for the log burner would be useful for us cityfolk but it can be worked out and once underway it warms up the room quickly. I would highly reccomend to friends.
Perfect place to totally relax and spend quality time with my hu
This place was great! I booked the treehouse as a surprise weekend away for my husband's 40th birthday. With 2 small children at home I was looking for something a little bit different where we could relax and not worry about the little people for a couple of days. The Treehouse Hideaway fitted the bill perfectly.
Amazing attention to detail has been put into the treehouse itself and the hot tub under the tree was lovely and totally private. I was really impressed with the little touches that Michelle and Chris offered like the birthday banner and balloons, birthday cake and hamper of local Kent goodies.
I chose the treehouse based on a magazine review I'd read so Kent as a destination wasn't somewhere I'd really thought about for a weekend break before. We did manage a quick trip into nearby Whitstable for lunch and it was nice to have a walk along the harbour but the rest of our time was spent at the treehouse chilling out!
If you're looking for a romantic short break somewhere a bit different then I would definitely recommend the treehouse hideaway.
Perfect from start to finish
We stayed at Treehouse Hideaway early March 2014 for 2 nights
From the moment I booked (as a surprise birthday treat for my boyfriend) everything went so smoothly.
The welcome hamper/balloons were a lovely touch and he loved the cake!
The treehouse was clean and tidy with lots of beautiful features.
Have a spot of lunch at the pub next door, it's good!
You can do as much or as little as you like.
During the day we cycled in Blean Woods and in the evening we headed into Whitstable for dinner (at Jojo's). Rounded off with relaxing in the hot tub. Delightful!!
We have told so many of our friends about our stay. It was luxurious and unique.
Michelle & Chris have got this so right!
We are certainly going to come back again.
My husband and I had an amazing stay at the treehouse for our wedding anniversary. It was everything we could of hoped for. We only left to go to the pub just 50yards away for dinner and spent the rest of the time relaxing in the hot tub or lounging and watching films by the log burner! It was excellently equipped with everything we could of needed and much more! The added special touches of a local produce hamper anniversary card and love heart balloons just topped it off! I would and have recommended the treehouse hideaway to anyone!
We came back for our second year and were not disappointed! The treehouse is beautiful and offers a real respite from the stress of everyday life. Thanks for a great visit
Lovely, romantic escape!
We had a really lovely 2 night break at the Treehouse Hideaway and would definitely book again!
The service from Chris and Michelle was fantastic - great communication with quick email responses and also some lovely touches in the Treehouse. It was my partner's birthday present and there was a birthday banner, birthday card and cake and a lovely bottle of bubbly chilling in the fridge - thank you!
The Treehouse was lovely and clean and is just so romantic - a true escape! The hot tub is a real bonus too.
The location is great for seeing the local area - we explored Whitstable and Canterbury and both are well worth a visit.
In all honesty I did think twice about booking due to the cost, but I am glad I did as it was worth it for a special occasion!

What a great place to stop, everything you need including instant help with sky tv.Would recommend this quirky hideaway to everyone.
I bought this as a present for my boyfriend ! The treehouse is so well thought out, fully equipped with everything you need. If your looking for a quiet retreat with a difference then this is the place!! We will definitely be returning
The most perfect tree house you have ever seen!
I honestly dont know where to begin! This is the most beautiful and perfect place we have stayed. I booked this as a Christmas present for my boyfriend and it was so much more than I ever imagined it to be. From the moment I booked the tree house, communication with Michelle and Chris was fantastic, putting all those little worries about booking online to oneside! Booking was very secure and the detail you are given about your stay is brilliant. On the day of our stay we were so delighted to have a text saying we could arrive early! When we arrived we could not believe our eyes! It truly is perfect. The attention to detail, the hamper that was left, milk in the fridge, undefloor heating, log burner, hot tub, the robes and so so much more made this even more special. The tree house has been incredibily well thought out and it is the best and most well equiped self catering place we have stayed in!
The hot tub was fantastic and we very much enjoyed the bottle of proseco which Michelle and Chris had left for us. The local pub offers delicious food and a very friendly service. The tree house is perfect for a romantic break, we only wished we had stayed longer. This is will be something we will never forget, a wonderful experience.
We went for a 2 night stay at the treehouse for a surprise for my boyfriends birthday and we fell in love with the place. The effort that the owners go to just to make you feel welcome is outstanding, even little things like putting up balloons and a banner to celebrate the birthday! The hot tub was perfect for the cold winters nights we spent there and going back up to a real fire was just perfect. We can't wait to go back!
The perfect Valentines get away!
The treehouse hideaway was the most magical Valentines weekend away. Although the trip from Manchester wasn't a quick one it was more than worth it. Relaxing in the secluded hot tub on one of the windiest days in years, with a bottle of prosecco courtesy of Michelle and Chris and knowing we had the log fire to look forward to cosying up to afterwards was heaven. We spent both nights in the tree house not wanting to venture out anywhere else. I would highly recommend this place to anyone, but make sure you book ahead. We booked this about 7 months prior, and all I can say is it was well worth the wait. Thanks Chris and Michelle for a wonderful weekend.

Perfect romantic mini break
The treehouse was more than any words could describe . It had everything needed to give us the most quirky relaxed romantic break ever. We could not fault anything and Michelle has thought of everything to make the stay perfect . The hamper contained local produce all very tasty and the champagne and balloons went well with our chocolates. The hot tub added to the romance and gave us the perfect end to our wedding weekend. A place never to be forgot x thank you x
Amazing Treehouse experience!
Just returned from 2 nights in this amazing hideaway, everything was faultless and so well thought out, the communication from Michelle was brilliant as she was always available to email with my endless questions and loved it when we received a text to say that the house was ready early. The hot tub made the weekend perfect and was nice and private. The little extras like dressing gowns, slippers were a nice touch - loved the log burner, although the under floor heating would have sufficed even though it was cold and windy outside we didn't notice it at all. The kitchen is well equipped even down to a dishwasher! Had a nice meal in the pub (2 mins walk away) and highly recommend Wheelers oyster bar in Whitstable. Looking forward to the next visit already - many thanks Michelle and Chris
Was perfect hideaway for a few days and the left us a lovely hamper. I will deffinitely book again
Unique and very sweet!
I booked a couple of nights in the treehouse as a Christmas pressie for my boyfriend. Even though it was a cold wintery month (January) the Treehouse was warm and snuggly and perfect for a chilled out couple of days. The fittings and fixtures are so lovely and the attention to detail is fab. We had a great time and I'd highly recommend it :)
Amazing relaxing break!
Had the most amazing 3 day break at the Treehouse weekend of the 10th January . Never have we stayed in a self catering establishment that was so well equipped. The attention to detail was fantastic. Would highly recommend this unique retreat . It was made even more enjoyable by the beautiful weather that we were blessed with, giving us the opportunity to make full use of the hot tub. Thank you to Michelle & Chris for the thoughtful gifts that were left for our arrival. Will definitely be back.
Perfect Romantic Getaway!
We stayed in the Treehouse Hideaway the first weekend in January. The weather just added to the whole experience! It was such a lovely feeling to be sitting in front of the log burner with the rain pouring out side. The hot Tub was amazing and steaming hot and ready to go straight away, the dressings gowns were a great touch and well needed. I can't think of anything I would change about the Treehouse, we done a little shop before we got there and we were set for the weekend, there was even little bits like sugar, oil, teabags & matches for the log burner. The location was great with all the essentials nearby but at the same time feeling secluded and private. The surrounding area is beautiful so plenty of nice walks to do. For a unique cosy weekend away, I can't recommend this place enough!
Relaxing break, fab owners and cute pub 50yds away - would stay
This treehouse is fab!
There is a cute log burner and a lovely private hot tub.
Chris and Michelle are all you can ask for as owners, they are very attentive and communication with them is fab!
We had an xmas break and the log burner was on, we enjoyed the hamper left for us by Michelle and Chris, and enjoyed the prosecco left by them too.
We will stay again in the summer where you can sit on the open, private decking area and enjoy a BBQ.
This is a fabulous, different and totally enjoyable place for a relaxing break not too out of the way, but quiet and peaceful. Hot tub was a first for us, brilliant. Everything you need is in the Treehouse, a fully equipped kitchen with full size oven and hob. Also an iron and ironing board, hair dryer.
The pub really is just a few yards up the road, and the food and staff were lovely.
Would highly recommend this lovely hideaway.
We have just stayed at the treehouse hideaway to celebrate our anniversary and loved every minute. It is a lovely, romantic setting made even more special by Michelle and Chris as we were welcomed with a lovely hamper, champagne and card. We had everything we needed so didn't need to go out anywhere so we enjoyed the log fire whilst listening to the wind and rain outside. We would highly recommend this treehouse for a relaxing weekend.
Spent two nights in the tree house as a surprise for my girlfriends 40th. What an amazing experience. We loved the "quirkiyness" and luxury of the treehouse as well as the hottub. It was the perfect getaway.

Five star Tree house
Wow what a fantastic place!!! Like a childhood dream only better. We loved it, the under floor heating, log burner, hot tub, cinema screen were brilliant and the hamper and bubbly topped off a wonderful stay. We would highly recommend the pub up the road as well, it was the best food we have ever tasted - a must do experience!!! We shall be returning - many thanks to Michelle and Chris for letting us stay xx

A very enjoyable weekend
The tree house was lovely, clean and nicely set up and the hot tub was great.
I stayed in the tree house for my birthday with my partner and loved it ! Very great service can't wait to stay again
I have already got two of my friends looking to book x
Out of this world!!!
Had an amazing time away for our first wedding anniversary! Definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a unique get away for that someone special:) It truly is amazing! The other half referred to it as our Hobbit hole, very cosy with quirky features (if you see the bathroom window you'll know what he's talking about).
Overall just a really magical place which made our anniversary perfect!
Out of this world!!!
We booked the treehouse for our anniversary and how pleased were we!!!
This place is absolutely beautiful, no photos will ever do it justice! I have never stayed someone so homely and cosy. We loved it so much we did not leave at all until we had too on the day of departure! It was a real treat and felt very special. The hot tub is amazing for the cold winter nights and the log burner and film projector just topped this off!
We were both truly upset to be leaving as two nights was just not enough!
The welcome hamper was also a lovely idea along with the robes and slippers. We will most definitely be back!!! ;0)
Brilliant weekend at the Treehouse Hideaway
My wife surprised me for my birthday with a trip to this wonderfully unique hideaway...and it was a fantastic two days! The Treehouse is unlike anywhere you'll stay, superbly constructed, and the only thing I can liken it to is the Shire houses from Lord of the Rings. The hot-tub was lovely, and the facilities in the house made for a very luxurious stay. The welcome pack and birthday cake and bubbly that greeted us were a lovely touch as well. A superb location in the Kent countryside, but only a 15 minute drive to the centre of Canterbury, or to Whitstable on the coast. We can see why it books up so far in advance...we're already looking to book again. Massive thank you to Chris and Michelle.
Chennette and peter
Amazing, perfect for a special occasion or just something a little different. Beautifully made, completely private and location is ideal. We will certainly come again, thoroughly recommend treehouse hideaway, loved it.
quiet and very relaxing
We had a fabulous stay at the "tree house", everything you needed was there, had a lovely roast dinner at the local pub, all in all, a great place to chill out, the hot tub was amazing!!!

Amazing treehouse hideaway
The Treehouse is amazing. The attention to detail throughout is pretty mind boggling and it has literally everything you could want. We had a fantastic time and Chris and Michelle were super helpful with everything leading up to and during our stay. The welcome basket, packed full local treats and bottle of Prosecco in the fridge just tipped off what was a fantastic package.
Not that you ever need to leave but there's Whitstable nearby with some tasty oysters and beach. Generally though we didn't want to leave and will definitely be back for more drinks in the hot tub!

Put it on your wish list.
This is a must in any ones book who appreciates the finer things in life!
Tree houses are ace
This place is a great getaway that is a little bit different. If you're tired of hotels, camping etc, and looking for a relaxing, little bit quirky and interesting place to stay then this for you. The communication with Michelle was excellent with plenty of information and instruction building up to our stay. As it was a present for my wife's 30th, she even included some birthday balloons and banners which was a great touch. Also the welcome basket was full of lovely treats that didn't last long! The enormous screen was a winner, comfy beds and the hot tub was a nice extra (if a little dirty, my only tiny little moan!).
If you're on the fence about booking, don't, just do it and you won't regret it. Good tree house times, we'll definitely return.

Having booked the tree house we wasn't sure what to expect. Wow does not do it justice and neither do the photo's. Our advice would be go and explore this brilliant adventure for yourself. We highly recomend this fantanstic well thought out idea for a weekend away. We have never felt so relaxed. Big thankyou to michelle and chris.
Sarah and chris
The best surprise ever, we had a fantastic time in the tree house, the hot tub made it even better. The slippers and dressing gown were good to have as it was freezing walking down to the hot tub, we loved the projector screen too.it was my birthday Chris and Michelle left a birthday cake with balloons and a hamper. Lovely touch. I would love to come again one day and would recommend it to any one of any age!
A lovely cosy place to stay, it was clean and tidy and perfect for a few nights away, Michelle and Chris were fantastic in organising it, I even got a text to say I could check in early as they had already cleaned it. Everything was thought out in the tree house and well worth every penny, the location is also fantastic with just a ten minute drive to beach!

"Treehouse" does not do it justice!
I arranged our two-night stay as a surprise for my partner's birthday, and it was made all the more special with the added touch of a bottle of bubbly and cake on arrival provided by Michelle! The treehouse was absolutely stunning, and we both wished we could have stayed longer. The attention to detail in the property surpassed all expectations, and having use of the private hot tub made it all the more fun! We will definitely be returning, perhaps in the winter when we can make full use of the lovely log burner. Great meal in the pub just up the road, too. Thanks Chris and Michelle - a wonderful experience!
A memorable treat
Friendly & helpful service from our very 1st contact. Added extras of quality such as a yummy hamper of Kentish treats. Attractive, clean & memorably different venue. Close to interesting places to visit. Loved the hot tub! Found the shower difficult to control.
This place is truly amazing. My husband and I stayed here for our fourth anniversary and were greated with a beautiful hamper, bottle of Prosecco card and cake. Every little detail has been thought of and this place has been made with love ! The hot tub was luxurious and we made use of the robes and slippers whilst we watched one of the many Dvds available on the projector tv. Whilst sipping the complimentry Fizz, I was actually disappointed it was so warm as would have loved to light the log burner ! Our only regret is that we only booked one night - we didn't want to leave and will definatly be returning. I would highly recommend this beautiful little hideaway to anyone.
This place is like a little piece of paradise. Every little detail has been thought of and it is truly unique. The service was excellent, Michelle and Chris even left a hamper with essentials in (all Kentish) with milk and even a bottle of prossecco in the fridge and a card and cake. The location was great, only a short drive to Canterbury and other towns. The hot tub was amazing, such a lovely little alcove - quiet and relaxing. They had a good selection of films, games to play, books to read, sugar in the bowl, robes, slippers, hair dryer, iron... You name it, they'd thought of it. And to think, it was all handcrafted - amazing. We shall definitely be back to this little piece of paradise!
What an amazing find! Truly beautiful stunning place to stay!
I booked the treehouse for my husband as a birthday and anniversary treat. It was fantastic! He absolutely loved it, the details, the hot tub, the relaxing time . . . . Truly a getaway to remember, we'll worth the money! And the welcome hamper and cake were a fantastic extra, thank you so much!
A truly amazing little gem !
We had a really amazing stay, it was lovely not to have the hassle of booking in. Very helpful and prompt service. Will be returning as we loved the spectacular tree house.
Unusual, magical accommodation!
I love the treehouse! I stayed here for 2 nights with my fiance as a surprise for his birthday and he loved it (and also wants to build one in the garden). The weather was ridiculous, 35 degrees one day and then thunderstorms in the night but it didn't matter, and the hot tub was actually an effective means of cooling down in the heat! The location was lovely, there's lots to do if you feel inclined, although it's just as nice chilling out in the hot tub! Michelle and Chris were so helpful, and even though we didn't actually see them during our stay we knew they were there should anything be needed. I would love to stay again and cannot recommend it enough!!
Perfect Treetop Hideaway Retreat
This absolutely stunning tree house overlooking a wildlife park is worth every penny. This memorable stay was a fabulous experience from the ease of reservations through to accessing the property in the middle of the night to relaxing on the secluded balcony for breakfast, discovering the delights inside the welcome pack and relaxing in the hot tub with a glass of bubbly. We travelled from just down the road for our honeymoon, but for those new to Kent, the tree house is perfectly placed between two of the most beautiful towns - the historic city of Canterbury with its beautiful cobbled streets, truly inviting pubs and wonderful choice of eateries; and the glorious seaside town of Whitstable with wonderful fresh fish restaurants, delightfully cosy cafes and little shops perfect for mooching on a lazy day. The tree house itself is gorgeous, luxurious and decadent and makes you feel wonderfully naughty for taking time out for pure self-indulgence. The best bit? How time seems to stand still in this lovely little retreat. The hot tub was just a bonus. The worst bit? Leaving. It was terribly sad. We highly recommend this stunning hideaway for a romantic break - a true Kentish gem.

A beautiful intimate place for a relaxing peaceful short break
We stayed here, in the tree house, for 3 nights. At first it seemed close to the other cabins however it is designed in such a way that you don't notice anyone else. The attention to detail in the tree house is fantastic. Check in could not be easier. The tree house balcony backs on to Druidstone park. This would be great for summer or winter getaways. It's a shame it was too hot to use the wood burner in the tree house. The owners left a lovely welcome hamper.
The bus into Canterbury is a short journey and the bus stops just outside. There is a wood over the road for those that enjoy walking. Local shop was well stocked if you didn't want to drive.
Thank you for such a great place for our honey moon
Everyone should stay at Treehouse Hideaway!
What an amazing place to stay for the night!
I booked the Treehouse Hideaway as a surprise for my boyfriends birthday and we both loved it!! The treehouse has been beautifully designed and kitted out and we didn't want to leave.
Everyone should stay at Treehouse Hideaway - we will definitely be returning!
Very enjoyable weekend break
The Treehouse was very well appointed, and the extra touches were really appreciated.. local hamper, and bottle of cold proseco in the fridge! It was our wedding anniversary so it was a delight to have a cake and card waiting for us.. Pub located next door great service/staff and delicious food! Recommend a weekend break stay here for sure!
Great relaxing break.perfect for that special treat, you arrive stressed and leave like a new person.
Fantastic Treehouse Hideaway
We have just spent a two night stay at the treehouse and it is amazing. It is cute, quirky and lots of fun. The welcome hamper, flowers and prosecco were a lovely touch too.
Attention to detail is amazing so well done to Chris for building it so beautifully and tastefully.
This is an ideal place to stay as so close to Whitstable, Tankerton and Canterbury...plus two great pubs on the same road one with a seafood stall and fruit stall...perfect :-)
We have stayed at Honey Cottage in 2012, Treehouse this year so looks like Honey Lodge will be on the cards for 2014.
Thank you thank you thank you xxx
the get aways
We stayed at the treehouse hideaway for couple of nights and it was an amazing expereince, so different to ur normal holidays place, it was very homely with all the comforts of a home. even the little touches were lovely like clean dressing gowns with slippers, we also got a cute little hamper with a bottle of bubbely an a choc cake to celebrate our honeymoon. and have to add that the hot tub is amazing too. we will defo be going again and we recomend it to anybody.

Words cannot describe how much we enjoyed our stay at the Treehouse Hideaway!! Whilst the photographs on the site show how unique this place is, actually seeing it in person is a whole different story! Completely surpassed our expectations! The attention to detail is outstanding! Everything is catered for...even down to cook books! The hamper of local produce, anniversary card and bottle of prosecco was a lovely welcome gift! Food at the royal oak was lovely (they even had a stall selling fresh fish in the carpark!) Very close to Canterbury, whether by car or taxi! it was a perfect way to celebrate our anniversary ... and even more perfect way to celebrate the start of our engagement :) ! We really didn't want to come home and will definitely be returning in the future! Thank you Michelle and Chris. xx
Wonderful amazing experience and an excellent way to celebrate a
I took my Husband here for his fiftieth birthday, it was a complete and utter surprise for him I had booked it all without him knowing, he though that we were going "glamping" He loved it all! The way Chris has built the house is amazing, every attention to detail. The log burner was nice(we had to use it in June would you believe) Everything you needed was there. The bed was so comfy, the shower was nice and the welcome pack was a really nice touch and so too was the prosecco and the birthday cake (we didnt realize though that it was out of date not to worry though we need to lose weight)
We said it was like being in a Hobbits house and we didnt want to leave! We went to the crown carvery at the punch tavern and had a lovely roast dinner and in the evening we had sandwiches that we got from the local Tescos, there is everything you need in the tree house to cook with. The hot tub is amazing wish we had one! will definatly return to this beautiful, amazing, fantastic, well made and equipped home from home! Thank you so much. Liked Best:The Tree House Liked least: Having to leave!!
What an absolutely amazing stay, made to feel so homely and welcoming. I've not been somewhere where I literally can't say a bad word about the place. The hot tub was a fantastic luxury. So private and peaceful. On arrival we did not need to come into contact with anyone as arrival instructions were simply and key was safely placed, so as much as I'd like to thank Michelle and Chris for our stay it was nice to not have the hassle of checking in! And on top of everything Michelle and Chris thoughtfully left a birthday card and cake for my boyfriends birthday, the reason we were staying there for the night. The location is great with the coast not far away and Canterbury town also local. Supermarkets about 5mins away which came in use to us to purchase BBQ food to cook up back at the treehouse! I've already recommended here to many friend and clients, a couple already booked in! I would definitely be coming back! It's a must stay!

All round absolutely amazing!
From the start of our weekend to the end was perfect in everyway.
Location was perfect only a short taxi journey to Whitstable and Canterbury.
The tree house had everything you could wish for... Heated floor, bathrobes, slippers, log burner, hot tub, chiminea the list goes on.
The hamper of local produce and the prosecco waiting in the fridge was amazing. And our deposit was refunded straight away. We will def be returning in the future.
What an amazing adventure!
I don't think I have the words to express what a wonderful time we had at the treehouse. This place is truly amazing, unique and quirky. This was a surprise weekend away for my husband and I to celebrate our anniversary and I could not think of a more wonderful place to spend it. Very peaceful location that looks out onto a wildlife park and the hot tub was a wonderful way to relax with a glass of fizz in the evening. On arrival we were overjoyed to find a beautiful welcome basket which was full of yummy local produce. It is finishing touches like this that make this place perfect. All I can say to anyone who reads this is, please visit this unique place. You wont regret it. We are already looking at dates for our next visit.
A friendly service and really enjoyed our stay in this unique accommodation. The location and amenities were great. Appreciated all the little extras and treats
Amazing honeymoon in the trees!
If you're looking for somewhere different to stay you've found the perfect place! The treehouse is cleverly constructed to look amazing but is also comfy and roomy. We loved everything from the welcome hamper to the jacuzzi to the big screen cinema system ... We could go on for hours
The treehouse is 2 mins walk from a pub serving fantastic food and next to a bus stop with frequent services to Whitstsble and Canterbury
Michelle and Chris gave us complete privacy but made it clear they were on hand if we needed them
Tremendous (no pun intended)
Gemma & Chris
The treehouse was beyond our expectations, beautifully made and decorated had a very homely feel which we didn't want to leave!
We were lucky to be graced with a week of sunshine but could enjoy the treehouse no matter what the weather!
The local pub 2 min walk away and Whitstable 5 min drive away were both lovely to go out for food and drinks but equally great was cooking in the treehouse and relaxing with the big screen projector!
The hot tub is a fantastic extra and great to relax in after a tough day by the sea!! Another cosy touch was the log burner despite it being warm was still fun to get it burning!
I have already recommended to others who have already booked up and will continue to do so as well as planning a reason for another visit!!!
Thanks to Michelle for great communication, an amazing experience to stay in!
I can't put into words what a gorgeous little place this is. It was beautiful. So much attention to detail and a lovely setting. Lying in bed, you can see the trees and the bifold door makes you feel like you're outside when you're in. The bathroom is beautifully done as is just about everything. There is a great area with loungers and a chimnea bbq underneath, all enclosed and private. Not to mention the hot tub! Up top, there is decking from which you can watch the goats next door as well as some stunning sunsets.
I can't begin to describe how much I loved this place. Sheer perfection. They even left a cake, wine and banners as I mentioned it was for my partner's birthday. We are saving our pennies to come back very soon!

Magical Tree House.
My husband kept this all very secretive from me. It was all worth it when we arrived, I was overwhelmed how stunning this place is. Michelle and Chris have done a fantastic job with this Tree House. It is real magical and you feel like you are in a different world. The hot tub is lovely very private and the complimentary bubbly came in very handy late at night in the hot tub. Thank you to you both for making our short break so magical. Will be defiantly back soon. I will recommend this place to everyone a romantic short break is just the answer to our busy life style in London. You wont regret it I'm telling you. Enjoy the Magical tree house XX

TheTreehouse Hideaway is a wonderful place to relax and unwind
We went to the treehouse for my birthday and I couldn't have asked for anything nicer, we had a fantastic time.
When we arrived there were balloons a banner a cake and bottle of bubbly in the fridge for us, how wonderful.
A welcome pack was waiting for us too, the treehouse is quite unique, so much thought has gone into this delightful place.
Lots to do in the surrounding area, details of which were available.
The private hot tub was used several times! The log burner and underfloor heating ensured it was nice and cosy.
We will most definately be returning,
Thank you , Chris and Michelle for giving us an experience we will never forget.

Sapassed all of our expectations
Fabulous accomadation, the attention to detail and personal touches make this tree house retreat a really special place to stay
Treehouse has the wow factor
The treehoues is 5 star luxury accomedation and a great place to stay for visits to Cambridge and surrounding area.
On arrival there was a hamper, pint of milk, and bottle of wine, which was unexpected and a very nice touch there are also robes and slippers provided for your walk to the hottub below the treehouse.
There were also birds nesting in the roof space that you could easily hear through the air vents in the kitched which was a very nice way to wake up.
I highly recomend a stay at the treehouse.
A complete escape and so easy to relax!
Such an unusual place to stay. Felt at home straight away. The treehouse had everything we wanted. Loved the hot tub, log burner and cinema set up. We had a really relaxing time. Great location for Whitstable and Canterbury. Very quiet and secluded. Would definitely recommend to a couple wanting to get away. Very comfy bed too! Michelle and Chris were very helpful and good at communicating.

Perfect mini-moon escape
We had a few nights away in the tree after or wedding to unwind and start or married life! It was perfect and the hot tub, welcome hamper and bottle of bubbles were a lovely touch.

What a fabulous 'get away from it all' break!
We literally spent the first 15 minutes walking around the tree house gasping 'Wow's. It has a wonderful feel to the place, warm, inviting and cosy with so much character and Michelle and Chris made us feel at home with a welcome hamper and bubbles in the fridge! We loved the hot tub, a really private space with ambient lighting, the perfect place to relax and unwind. We had read the reviews beforehand so the tree house had alot to live up to - and it did, we were not disappointed, the care and thought that has gone into it makes this hideaway a perfect treat and we will definitely be back.
Tree Houe Hideaway
Just to say thank you so much for such a fabulous weekend, your tree house is truly spectacular! When I booked it at Christmas I thought by the end of March we would be having picnics on Whitstable beach, but I don't think we could have picked a better weekend, curled up on the sofa in front of the fire whilst it was snowing was magical!
Thanks so much - we will be definitely coming back soon!
Alexa and Gavin Stewart
Booked the Treehouse for my wife's birthday treat. What a great place! On arrival there was a. Bottle of prosecco, a goodies hamper, a card and even balloons and a banner! Awesome! The treehouse is a lovely place to stay, really well finished with all mid cons. The hot tub is just fantastic!!
We will definitely return for another visit!!
Cosy and romantic!
I have only good things to say about the Treehouse Hideaway. From the moment you arrive, you are made to feel welcome. My partner and I spent a good 15 mins just looking around and saying wow when we first got in. The attention to detail is amazing, it's so quirky and cosy. One of the best things about it, especially in the colder months, is the underfloor heating. It keeps the treehouse lovely and warm. We didn't use the log burner very much, as we were happy and warm enough with the underfloor heating. The hot tub is amazing too, especially on a cold night when you can just relax. The lighting around it is very romantic also. So romantic in fact, that my boyfriend decided to propose! So we left as an engaged couple!
The surrounding area is nice. There's a pub just down the road which has a nice atmosphere, but not very much choice on the menu. We went for a walk in Blean woodlands which was lovely. We also went into Canterbury, and spent all day there, as there's so much to see and do.
All in all, just perfect, and I would recommend the treehouse to anyone. We will definitely be going back when we can afford to!
Great little place for a weekend away
We stayed in the Treehouse and thought it was excellent. Check in was easy and Chris met us and shower us how to work a few things. The treehouse was very clean, with extra touches like wine and a hamper adding to the upmarket feel it has. Craftsmanship was amazing, the big tv was great and log fire we had going the whole time kept it warm even when snowing outside.
The nearby pub was brilliant, great food and live music by a log fire. The hot tub was boiling and a welcome place to go even though it was -1 outside!
Overall I would definitely recommend this place to couples for a special occasion or getaway. Chris was on hand on the phone when we had a question and replied straight away. Michelle was very helpful with info prior to arriving.
I almost didn't write a good review as I wouldn't want it getting too popular! Will definitely be back - a unique treat that has the wow factor.
Thoughtful and unique
A beautiful hideaway retreat, thoughtful, romantic and perfect in everyway. We arrived to be greeted by Happy Birthday banners, a wonderful welcome pack and a bottle of Prosecco and a birthday cake to top it all. Every detail thought of with 5 star comforts. The private hot tub and projector screen made for an unforgettable stay. You really will not want to venture out!
Chris Whalley is clearly a very clever and talented man, the workmanshipp thats gone into this handbuilt tree house is simply amazing. Michelle's added touches such as the kent cottage holidays hamper, and the chilled prosecco waiting for us in the firdge also add to the magic.
Me tarzan - you very lucky to stay here...
This is a real gem of a property; a holiday hideaway with just the right balance of tree top quirk and top end luxury. Well thought through in every way, from the Flintstones path (past the hot tub...) to the curiously-at-home projector TV, there's everything here to help you get away from it all - without leaving civilisation behind. Great service and warmth of welcome, as ever. Terrific location too, with Whitstable and Canterbury just a short drive away, and a decent pub wothin easy walking distance. Highly recommended.
Benjy & Aimée
Fantastic service, couldn't have asked for a simpler booking process or better communication. Michelle kept me in the loop about what to do on arrival and Chris was on hand to show us around and to answer any questions.
The treehouse is phenomenal, really a beautiful and romantic spot that we were devastated to have to leave!
Can't wait to stay again!
Wow wow wow!
What a wonderful place and accompanied by wonderful owners. I booked this Treehouse Hidaway as a suprise for my wife's birthday, Michelle kept up the secret by only contacting me. We had an amazing time. After 20mins of having the TV on the projector broke, but after one message to Chris, he was straight round with a new one and within 15 mins it was all sorted. Now thats what I call service, and the smile!!! This is a place you really should visit, as it has everything you could ever want. The hot tub is great and the whole place is just so comfortable. My wife and I have stayed in many places UK and abroad, and this is the best we have had so far. Not sure what will beat this now, but Chris's new venture that he is building soon (we hope, if Michelle doesn't stop him! hee hee) should top it! Cant wait Chris. Thank you for everything you two, and we wish you all the sucess in the future. We will definatly be returning.
What an amazing place to stay! A real Hobbit hideaway.
The attention to detail is what makes it, and a lovely area to stay, relax and eat great food at the local pub only seconds away. I would recommend this to everyone and am already thinking about staying again. Read more

Than you for the lovely comments. Wow!! What lovely pictures Sophie. Look forward to seeing you again
Perfect romantic weekend break
The treehouse is even more impressive than it looks in the pictures - the design is incredible and the facilities were extremely high standard. The whole place is spotless, warm and cozy, and perfect for a romantic weekend break.
A bottle of wine and a hamper of treats were provided on arrival, which was a lovely touch. There are also books, DVD and a Scrabble board. The hot tub was private and lots of fun. We only had one issue which was to do with the projector, and when we rang chris to ask for his help he was prompt and efficient in getting back to us. I can't recommend this highly enough - well worth the money.

Best Birthday Ever
My girlfriend surprised me with a two night stay for my birthday, Wow! Everything about it was amazing, especially the hot tub and the huge flat screen tv! The owners had even left a birthday cake and card out for me on arrival, plus fruit, chocolates and a bottle of sparkling wine. The place was spotless and looked even better then the pictures. Will definitely be going back!

Amazing tree house
This was perfect in every single way. It was warm and cosy on arrival and we were greeted with treats in the kitchen which added that special touch. If your looking for a romantic retreat then this is perfect to enjoy some quality time with a loved one. The surrounding areas of Canterbury and Whitstable are lovely and there are many things to do. Herne Bay is worth a visit, very different experience in winter and would like to see it in summer. Would certainly be booking this magical treehouse again. Amazing!!!
On arrival you cannot help but be stunned by the unusual and stunning treehouse. When you step inside you are instantly struck with the cosy, clean and incredible design. It's when you go around having a closer look that you can appreciate the faultless finish. Thoughtful touches like the dressing gown and slippers, food additions and immediate necessities were a lovely surprise as was the heated flooring in the kitchen and bathroom. The hot tub is a must!!! Especially as our stay was over the Christmas period, our stay was magical and it made for a great escape from Town. Throughout the booking and arrival process the individuals who have taken care of of us have been more than helpful and have made it stress free, We would'nt hesitate to return.
Chilled out cosy retreat with luxury mod cons taken care of
I bought the two night stay at the Treehouse Hideaway for my husband's birthday so we could get away from it all at New Year. We had been to another of Michelle and Chris's properties before and knew that everything would be perfect. The Treehouse is unique. A quirky design, furnished to a high standard with a fabulous hot tub underneath, shielded from the elements. a wonderful welcome from Chris, and well stocked kitchen, including bottle of bubbly chilling for us.
The stay was so quiet and peaceful, we caught up on being together and lots of films on the big screen. Walks in the woods and by the sea, and lots of great restaurants and pubs to choose from. We will go again - my daughter and son in law are going in a few weeks. Recommend highly.

Faultless, quirky and a great all round stay
Treehouse really does need to be seen to be appreciated. Even though the pictures enticed us to come and stay for a long relaxing weekend, on arrival our expectations were easily surpassed. Build quality is top notch with the feel of a 5 star hotel room but with every home touch you could think of. At the time we commented if the Ritz did Peter pan you'd probably end up with something like this.
Whitstable is obviously lovely and for a bit more bustle Canterbury was only a very short drive away.
We had a fantastic stay, with great hosts, and will definitely recommend to all of our friends in the future.
Great cosy and fun treehouse!!
We loved spending the night at the treehouse- the roaring fire and underfloor heating made the place so cosy, it is immaculate and obviously a lot of thought has gone in to the finishing touches and no expense spared! Will be recommending to friends and family and definitely visit again!
Sonya & Matt
Michelle and chris made booking and our stay very easy and welcoming. coffee, milk, orange juice, croissants, chocolate and wine on arrival, the latter very nice in the superb hot tub!Infact we spent most of the time in the hot tub even though the temperature out side was freezing, the under floor heating in the tree house was lovely and warm so the log burner wasn't really needed, but well you've just got to have the fire going too, its just so cosy! every thing about the treehouse is luxury and just sooo relaxing! I would highly recommend and have already to friends a stay in the tree house hideaway,we are already checking the calender for another stay!! Stunning! All my childhood dreams covered (always wanted a tree house!). Extra's we liked were oven, hob, dishwasher, huge tv screen (projected on wall awesome!),fride freezer, well everything thought of really!

The most luxurious tree house!
We stayed at the Treehouse Hideaway in late November and it was wonderful. It was cosy and warm and felt lovely and Christmassy with the very efficient wood burner glowing. The Treehouse was beautifully set out, warm, clean, well equipped - we very much appreciated the provisions left for us. The Hot Tub was fantastic of course. We would recommend it to anyone and hope to go back, maybe for a summer break next time.

A totally unique, romantic getaway.
We arrived in Blean on a cold November's evening to a warm and cosy Treehouse Hideaway. This was a surprise birthday treat from my husband and what an amazing treat it was! The Treehouse is luxurious, romantic and unique in every way. Obviously built with love and care, the owners have created a home with excellent facilities, quirkiness and imagination. The secluded hot tub was perfect for a late night dip!
The owners are dedicated to ensuring that we had the best experience possible by adding personal touches to our stay. On arrival there were all the basic necessities that we needed including milk, fresh coffee, croissants and fresh orange juice.
Whilst staying at the Treehouse, we visited both Canterbury and Whitstable which are both in close proximity to the cottage. We had dinner at the Whitstable Oyster company which was delicious.
All in all we had a fantastic weekend that we cannot fault which went far too quickly, and we will definitely recommend to our friends. We look forward to hopefully staying at the Treehouse or another property with Kent Cottage Holidays.
Thanks for a fantastic weekend!
Rich and Lizzy
I booked an evening at the treehouse as a surprise for my girlfriends 30th birthday and had an amazing time. The owners made the booking straightforward and friendly. Upon arrival we were excited to find a very clean and exciting getaway. I would highly recommend a stay at this location to anyone who is looking for a romantic getaway. The hot tub was an added bonus which went down a treat.
Fanstic short break
We stayed in the Treehouse for a couple of nights and had the amazing relaxing time. We made full use of the Hot Tub and the cinema screen. Everything was thought of and the interior was delightful. Very quiet and peaceful and private and would highly recommend it to friends and family.
A brilliant concept and I hope it goes from strength to strengh. You can tell love and passion have gone into the Treehouse.
Well located, quirky stay with a fabulous hot tub
We were one of the first guests to stay in the treehouse and the owners had told us that some of the landscaping wouldn't be finished by our stay. I was expecting much worse - it was hardly noticeable. The treehouse was exceptional well finished and well thought out. The kitchen area was extremely well stocked and basic stuff (tea, coffee, fruit, pool, salt pepper etc) were provided. Our only gripe was keeping the log burner going with the huge logs provided. The private hot tub is situated underneath the treehouse - really nice and relaxing, and will be even better when the landscaping is finished.
The treehouse is well situated to visit Canterbury, Whitstable, Herne Bay and many other places and is in walking distance to part of Blean woods. We visited Sandwich on Wednesday afternoon and were shocked to find that nearly all of Sandwich was shut. I was totally surprised that anywhere still has early closing! The local pub was just round the corner and provides reasonable food. The restaurant was empty when we went and it felt a bit ... cold and echoey.
The Pearson's arms in Whistable was great and we'd highly recommend it! We had tried to get a table at Wheeler's Oyster bar but just couldn't get in.
All in all, a fab midweek break in October to blow the cobwebs away!
Wow! Fabulous experience - a beautiful property in a wonderful a
We were lucky enough to be the first people to stay here!
Brilliant attention to detail: tree themed sinks, tree and leaf patterns on upholstery, a logburner (only needed it one afternoon and evening as the underfloor heating was so effective!). We made full use of the hot tub which is underneath the treehouse so protected from the rain. The setting is beautiful too - overlooking the animal enclosures.
Chris and Michelle were very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed and that everything was just right!
On the first night, we ate in the local pub - the Royal Oak.
Very easy to get around from here. We caught the bus one day into Canterbury - right outside the property and easier than messing around with parking. The next day we caught the bus down to Whitstable. Both towns have so much to do and many wonderful restaurants. You could easily stay here without a car - public transport is quick, frequent and reasonable.
