Overall I was very satisfied! I appreciate the homeowner sharing their unit with us. It had everything we needed including a football for my boys to throw around. The property management had other rental items such as boogie boards, fishing poles, kayaks etc.
The beach is wonderful and very private. This was our 2nd trip of many to this wonderful paradise. -

It would be nice to be able to access the internet from the condo's. When we stay during a holiday weekend, to be able to Skype with far away family from the beach is great advertising.

We had our wedding at Palm Island October 27,2012. Our event was beautiful and perfect. We could not have asked for more. We had alot of family that stayed the weekend with us on the island. The accomidations were excellent. The villas were very nice. There was alot of space, they were clean and had everything we needed. The staff was fantastic. They were polite, accomidationg, professional and friendly.Lisa and Justin made our wedding a success. It was beautiful. They put everything together and it was amazing. The morning of the wedding we had to change our ceremony location due to the wind. Justin and Lisa came through with a beautiful spot and made it look amazing. The island is breath taking. The food was great. Fresh, hot and tasty.Thank you Palm Island for making our wedding special. We are planning our family reunion here.

We've been coming to PI for 20 years. This was our first trip without our kids, now 23 and 18.
We picked a package deal and it was great value! We had a wonderful time. Unit 1211 was very nice. Too bad, an hour before we were leaving I stepped on a sting ray and it was so painful....now we know about the hot water. I had to go to the urgent care and get a tetnus shot and antibiotics. Even that did not cloud our trip. If I ever win LOTTO, I will live at Palm Island forever!! -

Left on 08/13/2012 for a stay in August 2012
This was our 2nd year vacationing at Palm Isle. We stayed in 2011 and this year in 2012. There was a noticeable difference since a new management team took over operations this year. The new management were more concerned with money than they were with the customers satisfaction. Prices went up in a depressed economy. The Villa was noticeably in disrepair compared to the previous year we stayed. It needed updating. Curtains didn't close/work, dishwasher was rusty, golf cart had to be returned for a new one, appliances were outdated and needed to be replaced. Coconuts didn't have my golf cart reservation, so we had to wait 30 minutes for them to sort it out. However, despite the difficulties, it's hard to let it get you down when your at one of the most pristine beaches in the US. The weather was great and the fishing was fantastic. Overall, we had a great time.

We have vacationed at Palm Island over 20 years. Apparently, we love it there. We have several favorite villa's we stay in but any of the rentals on Palm Island are great!!
The villa's are right on the beach so, you walk out your door and there is the water and sand and shells and peace.
We bring our food for breakfast and then eat lunch or dinner at Rum Bay Restaurant. They have a variety of meals on their menu!! Delicious food and daily specials!
If you bring a computer, some of the villa's have WiFi and if they don't, you can rent a mobile hotspot for your computer.
We always reserve a golf cart for our stay and enjoy our evening rides at sunset. There is transportaion from the Bell Stand but we enjoy our cart.
Karen is the massage therapist available and is excellent. Pick up her card at the desk when you check in. She is very good!
We will return again in May and December this next year. If we could, we would go more often!! -

Everything was great. We have been coming to Palm Island for over 15 years at different times of the year, more recently for Thanksgiving. I would really like to see you offer guest WiFi. It is critical to be able to do work allowing a guest an opportunity to spend more time on Palm Island.

We had an amazing stay!! Everything at the resort was BEAUTIFUL! The only thing I would say is that the beds & pillows need to be upgraded VERY BADLY!!! While the decor was very charming, the beds & pillows were PAINFUL! That would be my only suggestion, everything else was wonderful!

Over all clean accommodations an A wonderful place to get away and have such relaxing atmosphere. Great People in the office to greet your guests and help you. Kudos to all of you. Restaurant personell were also very nice. Super place for a get a way.

One LITTLE gripe. Our 10 year old daughter, Maggie, has grown up with Redbeard, and was bitterly disappointed in his reduced role at the resort. His only appearance during our stay was the Friday night concert. She really loved the almost daily crafts like it used to be. I know we're not the only "regulars" who feel this way. Last Sunday morning, you should have seen how many golf carts pulled up to Redbeard's boat expecting 10 AM crafts...and how many disappointed little kids there were! Not to mention their mommies and daddies! He's always been a big part of our Palm Island vacations, and we're sorry to see the change.

Beautiful location, beach, water. Coordination of services was very poor. Entities that own and operate marina, ferry, resort, restaurant, golf cart rental, etc are all different, disconnected and unable and unwilling to cross communicate. Staff was at times helpful, other times indifferent. Food at resort restaurant was hit or miss, some very good, others poor. Don't know that I would necessarily return as there are a lot of great resorts in that area with much higher levels of service and the same great beaches, water access, amenities, etc.

When I walked into my Villa it looked as if it is floating on the Gulf. The views are beautiful. It is in the truest sense getting away from it all. It is the perfect place for my very busy 3 year old son. He built sandcastles, swam in the pool, looked for turtles while riding around in a golfcart!! It is very natural and very low key!

Left on 09/13/2008 for a stay in September 2008
Of course the view from this unit is the best and we appreciated the special pricing so that we could rent it. We enjoy rainy weather and were blessed these four days with very varied skies. We were able to be outside as much as we wanted to be. THe location of the unit is perfect for getting in and out onto the beach. The unit is beautifully decorated and the wood floors are a great added touch. My husband much appreciated the recliner. Even though the carpet is the original it has stood up well and had no stains. The master bath is exceptionally appointed but the sink drain too slowly. The one on the left could not even be used because it would not drain sufficiently. The owners thought of all sorts of things to make our stay very friendly and comfortable. It is a great blessing that they continue to allow their unit to be rented. I wish other units would remodel. Some are so seedy that I need to be able to see the unit before I agree to stay in it. I hope they offer the special again next year because this unit is the best one on the island.

The general areas are in need of attention. Landscape needs attention and general maintenance around the property is not as well kept as it should be. The unit we stayed in was in a beautiful location, but needs to be "freshened up" The staff at Palm Island is very friendly and very helpful. The location and setting are just lovely.

Left on 08/16/2008 for a stay in August 2008
First, let me give you the positives. Evan and Ann are awesome people at your front desk. Our unit, 1211, had the best view in 17 years of coming to PI and the unit was lovely. Service/maintenance was quick to respond and resolve the problem we had with our unit. Baggage men were fantastic.
We come to PI for a small family reunion. Often we have found other accommodations that will work and keep us all together in a home or units next to each other, but PI appeals to each family member's needs in a nut shell. We truely wish to keep coming here.
When we find you have units TOGETHER that will work for us, we book. 5 times this has not worked out when we got there, but was do-able. This time was rough. Splitting a large family between 2 units in 2 different buildings is NOT okay. At booking time, things are all so wonderful - you have found a few choice units for us - we are in the same building - we put down a deposit and understand that you would like notice if cancelling - we BUY FOOD FOR 1 UNIT since we are idealy together. That is until we get to PI.
Once to PI, our plans come unraveled. We now have to split food between buildings - carry it down to another building and when we run out go get more from unit 1. Somethings you can't split. We've worked out our food arrangements before coming, now we are wasting vacation time doing it again - NOT RIGHT.
In one building I know my kids are pretty safe going from one unit to the next to seek family. This time my son got lost trying to find the other part of our family 2 buildings over. We didn't find him until evening. I even found myself waking into someone elses unit. SAFE, I don't think so. I would think hard about safety issues with all the bodies of water on this properity if I were PI. -
