A short walk to Cape May’s Beaches, Pedestrian Mall and Acclaimed Restaurants, this lovely and well maintained 4 Bedroom Dutch Colonial Home is located in a quiet, tree-lined Historic District neighborhood. A large fenced yard, an enclosed front porch and an open back deck with retractable awning make this the ideal place for families to enjoy their stay in Cape May. Built in the 1920’s, the house contains all of the expected charms of the era, including high ceilings, refinished hardwood floors, and wide wood moldings. Decorated with nautical art and Mission Style furnishings on the first floor, wick...er porch furniture and new patio furniture on the deck, the house invites a feeling of relaxation between beach activities.

Amenities include: high speed internet with wireless router, HDTV in Family Room with expanded cable channels, second TV in Master Bedroom, use of a large Beach Box on Broadway Beach to stow umbrellas, beach chairs and sand toys over-night, large private outdoor shower, off street parking for 4 cars, retractable awning over back deck to provide either sun or shade, and a full size Weber Gas Grill for Bar-B-Q. Besides the enclosed porch (a favorite place to read the morning paper) and the outdoor deck, the first floor includes a large living room with decorative fireplace, a dining room to comfortably seat 8, a family/TV room and a kitchen with all necessary appliances and utensils. The master bedroom contains a Queen Bed; two bedrooms each contain a Double Bed, and the fourth bedroom contains a set of Bunk Beds for the kids and young adults. There is also a fold-out couch in the family room that sleeps 2. The House has 2 bathrooms (one with a shower and one with a shower/tub). Window air conditioners in each room of the house allow for individual comfort control over temperature settings.

Several of Cape May's most popular restaurants (including a very child-friendly restaurant) are located within 3 blocks. A bicycle rental shop is within a 4 block walk. Leave your cars in the driveway and walk or bicycle everywhere!

  Great Escape - Perfect Location

  We have stayed at this home several times with our 4 children (teens - early twenties), both at the height of the summer season and in off season and it is in a perfect location! The home is very well equipped, clean and comfortable, with a number of places to hang out, inside and outside, without the feeling of being on top of one another. We loved the outdoor deck with the retractable awning and enjoyed some great cookouts in the back yard, which is more than large enough to set up a game of badminton with plenty of room to spare.
  
  The off-street parking is great, especially in the summertime when parking in Cape May can be at a premium, and the kids were able to walk to either the ocean or the bay to enjoy the beach. Several nights the "grown-ups" took an easy walk (15 minutes or less) into town where there were wonderful restaurants, and we did not have to worry about parking a car.
  
  I like the fact that the place is far enough away from town, on a nice quiet street, yet close enough to walk to almost everything. The kids enjoyed riding their bikes around as well and sometimes spent all day out on their own exploring.
  
  We look forward to returning again to this charming home. There is something about a Cape May vacation that makes you feel as though you have traveled back in time to an era when life was simple. This house has all the amenities of the 21st century, but the comfort of days gone by.
