We rented this house, having only Internet pix, info, and a some assurance from the realtor. It doesn't look like much from the street photo, but we took a chance. The price was within our budget; it was available when we needed it; and we are somewhat familiar with Cape May.
Well, we were still a little uncertain as we pulled into the driveway. The outside is very unassuming on the outside. But what a surprise when we walked through the front door! This little "cottage" was more than roomy enough for the 4 of us, and it could have accommodated 6 just as well. It is very nicely furnished with sturdy, quality pieces throughout. It's easy to see that the owners take pride in this house and see it as their house...not just an income property. It is very well maintained, and located in a quiet neighborhood.
The living areas include a good-sized living room, an eat-in kitchen, and a big screened-in side room that is accessible from the kitchen or yard. There are 2 nice bedrooms (each with 2 twins) and a full bathroom as you head down the hallway toward the large master suite with 3/4 bath. There's even a private deck off the master suite!
Although the property is not particularly wide, both side property lines provide privacy with trees and/or fences. The outdoor shower has hot and cold water.
6 short blocks to the beach...an easy walk, bike ride, or drive. There's free street parking one block from the beach, so we typically drove our van full of beach stuff and parked a block from the ocean for the day. Then we just packed up and headed "home" at the end of the day.
We had an awesome week at this place, and we hope to return. -

My daughter and husband stayed inthis home for several years (aroundthe years of 2003-2010). So we knew it was exactly what we'd be looking for in Cape May. Very clean,for the most part, and we especially love how quiet it is and the side porch.
