Would prefer to keep this our secret jewel in Camps Bay
Left on 03/11/2013 for a stay in February 2013
We visited with two families in February and the Bay Leaf villa in Camps Bay was just perfect. Very friendly owners welcomed us and stocked up the refrigerator in advance and even gave a bunch of flowers - very kind. The house was clean and welcoming. The staff come in everyday and tidied up, so we really felt on holiday. The location is perfect - walking distance from the boulevard in Camps Bay and the beach. All I can say is keep it a secret!

|NorfolkGreat time with our large family in this fab house
Left on 10/11/2012 for a stay in April 2012
This house was well and truly tested when we stayed there last Easter. We were 8 adults and 4 small children who all lived comfortably in this lovely house for two weeks. It was unusual, however, to live with so many of the owners belonging but they were very relaxed about it so it didnt worry us.
A lovely lady coming in to look after us nearly everyday was an added bonus too.
We can thoroughly recommend this lovely place. Easy to walk to the beach, and the town, and there are lovely cafes and restaurants. One warning the local supermarket doesn't sell wine.
The pool was cold, but it was april!!.
Our only regret is that we cant go back this year. -

New YorkComfortable, terrific B&B; in a great location!

The Bay Leaf is a fantastic place to stay and makes a great place for
exploring Cape Town. The house is a beautiful, well-maintained, and
modern building. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Staying there
doesn't feel like an impersonal hotel. It feels like a warm home. They
are thoughtfully appointed with all the things you might need (e.g.
beach towels, maps and guides, tea) etc. The self-catering is a
wonderful draw, and provides a great option for those who do not wish
to take every meal at a restaurant while on vacation. The grounds are
quiet and well-kept. In short, it's easy to relax and feel at peace
while staying here.
The B&B; has an amazing location close to the main strip in Camps Bay.
You can find a grocery store, pharmacy, and lots of restaurants and
shopping. Across the street is the beach, just a short walk. There is
ample parking across the street. It's easy to head both into the
downtown area, Sea Point, and further afield.
Finally, the staff is extremely efficient and friendly, and the
proprietors are wonderful to chat with and ready to help in any way.
The Bay Leaf is a terrific place to stay while in Cape Town! -

LondonComfortable, relaxed and felt like home

Staying at the bay leaf made my holiday as you could not get a better location, everyone made me feel at home and were so helpful. I would not waste my money on a hotel as the bay leaf was perfect.
You are walking distance from one of the most popular beaches in Cape Town, restaurants and bars which my husband and I loved. Shirley and Keith the owners went out of there way to help with any queries we had. The rooms were big sizes with very comfortable beds. -

New York, USABeautiful setting, mountain view and wonderful hospitality

Whenever we are in Cape Town we try to stay at the Bayleaf. We love the Lemon Tree room with its gorgeous view of the mountain when you wake up. It is comfortable and tastefully furnished. It feels like home away from home. And we feel safe in this lovely setting. But even more than that, we love the owners of the B&B; - they are so welcoming and such warm and interesting people. They always make our stay there special.
The location is perfect - literally a minutes walk from the restaurants and glorious Camps Bay beach. How perfect is that!
I can't wait to return again!

Left on 10/04/2012 for a stay in January 2012
We had such a wonderful stay at the Bay Leaf - Apart from being in the best location near to everything (which was very important to us) I found the whole atmosphere and service just brilliant - I felt so at home and nothing was a problem - The bedroom was amazing - really big and had everything we needed. I could honestly say that if i get the chance to go back to Cape Town - i wouldnt want to stay anywhere else.

First time staying here and it was all it promised to be. Views are to die for and beach is an easy stroll, even with three toddlers. House was very homely and had everything needed. Outside room did need a bit of tlc - but was advised it wasn't up to the same standard as inside!!
Sad to leave!! -

Lubumbashi, DRCBeautiful villa, at a perfect possition in Campsbay
Left on 09/28/2012 for a stay in February 2012
The couple is very kind, helpfull and relaxed. The landlady only came to say hello, the rest was well explained in a guidebook. The maid is great and does laundry aswell (you pay her a little bit for that). The house has a nice small garden, with plunge pool, all is well maintained and equiped. In 1 minute walk you are at the beach and at the boulevard, also the supermarket is behind the corner. Extremely well situated! All the restaurants are close aswell. The rooms are big and so are the bathrooms. The livingroom is a bit outdated (oldfasioned design) but we were there with small kids and it didn't matter. We had a lovely time at the villa and hope to be back once...
