There was so much to enjoy during our stay. We were pleasantly surprised upon our arrival, it was nicer than the pictures! This home has been renovated, maintained and cared for through the years. It was nice to stay in a very clean home. The kitchen,family room and outdoor deck were our focal gathering area. The central location of this home and ocean view from the deck is excellent! The use of the kayak was just an added perk we enjoyed. Thank you.

My girlfriends and I just stayed here for a "girls getaway." We loved it! I have stayed in many beach rentals and this one is the most updated and fabulously decorated that I have ever been in. I felt like I was at home. Very spacious and such a great view. We sat out on the deck most of the time we were at the house and the times we weren't we were sitting at the bar still enjoying the view. We even skipped going to lunch just so we could enjoy the view.
Everything was so close, shopping, beach, coffee shops, wine bars, restaurants, nightlife. We didn't have to drive anywhere.
Even though we didn't need it, there was an elevator and ramp for disabled people and they also allow pets.
Hope to have a family vacation there next time.

The Pelican House was an unbelievable venue for the "Soup and Sunset” open house that we held for our son's wedding weekend. From 95-year-old grandma and wheelchair bound auntie to the other wedding guests who dropped in over the afternoon, this beautifully well appointed home was exactly what we had hoped. In two levels, we had ample room for our guests to chat upstairs, downstairs, or outside, where we had tailgate type games set up riverside next to a fire pit. Our toast to our son and new daughter took place outside on the deck as we watched the sun slip into the Pacific. Steps away from the Capitola nightlife, at the conclusion of our party the guests continued into the night dancing to the live entertainment that the village has to offer.
Ashley, the owner, couldn't have been more accommodating. In fact, when she heard that the groom had served in afghanistan, she brought a new american flag to hang on the porch for the party.

What a treat to stay in this home - right on the river with a view of the ocean. Our deck view was awesome (as are the views from inside the house). The home was very clean, the beds were comfortable and we totally enjoyed the fact that all we had to do was walk across the street to all of the shops and restaurants. Couldn't have asked for a better location.

We loved the Pelican House this past weekend. Everyone that came by took a brochure so hopefully you will get some more reservations as a result. I definitely know we ended up with the best accommodations of all our friends here for a wedding at Shadowbrook. Hopefully some day we can just come up there to relax. Thanks again for your hospitality.

My family and I had a reunion in this wonderful clean and comfortable house in the heart of Capitola only seconds away from the beach and stores with fantastic views.
Everything was so much better than advertised, we've already made reservations for next year!
