My wife and I just returned from 9 days this side of heaven. Karen, your "home" touch is present throught the house. Although it was just my wife and I for our 25th wedding annivesary, our next trip will fill the boys room as well as the girls room and their mom and dad too. We didn't get to see a green flash sunset but we did eat at the green flash-yum oh. I found everyting most useful including all the kitchen gadgets...lol. Only minor problem was the wirless was slow to our iphones. Lana liked words with friends while sunning on the deck...oh bother. We had a very relaxing and much needed recharge and as I have said are already planning a return with the rest of the family...cant wait. Thanks from Lexington, KY

We are still basking in the glow of our Captiva vacation. We were met by the owner, Karen, who was putting the finishing touches on the house for our stay. The Villa was one of the most comfortable vacation rentals we have ever stayed in. Casual and warm decor set in a delightful arrangement. Lots of room for the family to spread out and be together. Just a short walk down the lane to the beach. The pool was the perfect end to the day. Sunsets were awesome every evening. Great neighbors - locals and vacationers. Can't wait to get back!

The location was perfect, just a few homes from the village of Captiva and about a 5 minute stroll to the Gulf. I actually liked being a little closer to the village since it was easy to send someone to run for last minute items at the Island store. No one ever needs to be bribed to go to the beach...but running an errand for Mom is a different story!
The home was well equipped and very comfortable. The layout was perfect and very spacious. There is a separate "apartment" upstairs which holds two bedrooms with queen size beds and shares a full bathroom. It also has a mini fridge, sink, microwave and coffee maker. There are stairs to a roof top deck from these rooms. This was perfect space for my young adult daughters and niece. They appreciated having their own space and privacy.
The master bedroom and second guest room are on the main floor. The rooms are separated by a hallway,a perfect layout for extended family or a multiple family vacation. Both rooms are very spacious with plenty of closet space and drawers. These rooms are nice and dark in the morning and we got some of the best sleep ever. The master bedroom has a king size bed and the guest room has two queen size beds. Each bedroom has a TV.
The living space was very nicely decorated and the couch and chairs were very comfortable. The living room has a new flat screen TV.
There is a screened in porch off the kitchen which was a nice place to sit in the evening or early morning. The pool area was a great place to sit for "happy hour" and the pool was perfect to cool off in after the beach.
My entire family had a wonderful time here and we are already planning our return for next year. The only caution I have is: if stairs are not easy for you, there are a lot of stairs in this home. Other than that , I can't say enough positive things about the home and the owners. The owner was very responsive and easy to work with. So enjoy this home away from home in a magical vacation paradise.
