Only a one block walk to Captiva Village shops and restaurants, this property is in top condition and equipped with everything you need to enjoy a romantic or family vacation to the fullest. You do not need to pack beach towels (7 are provided), nor do you even need to buy aluminum foil or ZipLock bags, rent booster chairs, or crib; whatever you have at home will probably be here also. Only a three-minute walk to the pool and private boardwalk to the gorgeous white sand beach. We have stayed at #48 every year for varying periods of time from 3 weeks to 3 months in the Jan/March time frame since 2006 and also rented it under prior owners in the late 90's. You need to bring nothing but yourselves for a delightful and relaxing stay at this well equiped home. The owners, Helen and Vernon will do everything they can to accomodate your needs. We especially like the location to the beach on the Gulf of Mexico for watching sundowns and meeting people from SSC or watching the sunrise from the upper deck over the bay with a cup of coffee in hand. The people we have met at SSC, both owners and renters, has been delightful. The SSC heated pool/tennis courts are a very short walk away. We eat in primarily because of our length of stay but there are some great restaurents within walking distance. The Green Flash is one of our favorites. We'll be "on the beach" agin 12/31/11 till late March, 2012. Don't look for a McDonalds, the closeset one is over 20 miles away over the causeway in Ft Myers.

My family has been blessed with three different stays with Sunset Captiva 48. We are a middle aged hard working couple with two small children...but when we are on Captiva it is all relaxation and no worries...this home just adds to this stress free way of life. We fell in love with this home from the very first time we walked in! I was amazed at all of the items that were stocked in the home for guests use. We have never had to pack beach towels, or rent umbrellas. We never have to bring a cooler, and there is every kitchen utensil that you have ever imagined right at your fingertips; if you are like us and love the home so much then you will enjoy cooking at home as opposed to dining out. The wonderful location of the home makes it ideal for walking to the Village center; if you do choose to dine at one of the fabulous restaurants. The owners have made new updates and improvements each year that we have returned. I have rented many homes and when I write in the guest book I usually say; "I would love to stay here again." This is the only home that I can honesty say I have stayed here again...and again!
The owners are extremely nice and very prompt in returning e-mails. The rental company that they list with is one of the nicest on the island also. You will not be disappointed in this rental home. This is a great vacation home away from home,you have everything you need, 5 minutes walk to the private beach, clean, fresh, holly toledo I may said the best Relaxing vacation ever,(and believe me we travel) and the best of all, the owners Vernon & Helen would do what ever it takes to accommadate you & family,Tv's in every room with dvd, almost 250 movies for your enjoyment,table games, the kitchen! Wow! we cook every day because we love to cook and have a fresh meal, no matter what you looking for is there, fisrt-A-kit, all the buld the house have in case you need it, beach towels & regular towels, everything you need for the beach, for kids & adults, bikes, (that we not even look at them, I guess to much effort, ha,ha)in the third floor a big terrace for sun expossed & the secound floor a big terrace full enclosed, with furniture, tv, table for your enjoyment, people , people, Please read this if you are going to rent, this is the place, just look no more, we Recommended this property 150% My wife & family where amazing all the things this house have to offer, the other thing the price for this beautiful house very reasonable, we look & look and even the best price in a hotel, no way you ending paid a lot more, food is expensive in captiva (well now everywhere) there is nothing bad we can said above this vacation, unless the painful returd to reality, but the good thing is we look forward to the next time at Vernon & Helen beach home, that we hope would be very soon,Vernon & Helen Thank you very much for maybe the greates relaxing vacation we ever have

This Captiva house has it all. Perfect for families with small children. Didn't have to worry about renting high chairs, pack n play. Very convenient location to the beach, pool, restaurants...didn't need to jump in the car every time you wanted to go somewhere. Would definitely put this on our list to come back to. Very nice place, easy to rent, no hassle vacation. Captiva is a beautiful place to vacation at.

Great place to spend time. The Sunset Captiva community is very nice. Great beach, pool and tennis courts. House is well appointed and has lots of welcome little touchs and things that made daily living simple. Also nice to not have to worry about beach chairs, cooler, bikes, etc. Very relaxing home and community, with plenty to do. Happy to be close by but not in the middle of the busyness that
Captiva can offer. It was easy to choose between venturing to the restaurants or having a quiet night at home.
Very close to Jensen's Marina, we either fished or bought bait every day. Got in he car twice all week, which was wonderful! -

We rented this gorgeous Captiva house this past December. The location couldn't have been more perfect, as everything is within walking distance. The pictures on the website don't do this place justice, it so wonderfully decorated!!! The owners, Vernon and Helen, are very easy to work with, and there were no issues with the reservation or the house itself. Be sure to use the community pool, or take a walk to the wonderful beach. There are beach towels, Dvd's, bikes, and so much more in the house for your use. There are tons of restaurants and shopping on Captiva. Key Lime, the Mucky Duck, and RC Otters are just few of our favs and all within walking distance. I would highly recommend this rental to others, and would rent it again on our next visit to Captiva!!! Thanks, Vernon and Helen, for sharing your piece of paradise. The Wiesers
