      Feels like Home

Left on 04/25/2013 for a stay in March 2013

Our stay of 8 days was wonderful. We enjoyed the home and the furnishings were beautiful. We felt very comfortable and at home with the color schemes and the wonderful entertainment area in the first floor.

One suggestion would be to replace all the wrought iron patio/porch furniture that does not have woven seats: the iron is rusted and stains clothes permanently, ruining them. We lost at least 6 pieces of clothing with rust stains. The chairs with the webbing were perfect and we did end up just moving all the iron furniture to areas where we did sit and enjoy the view but ruining clothes at the beginning of a vacation was not pleasant.

The kitchen was well stocked - skillets should be replaced when the Teflon begins to peel and a cookie sheet would have been appreciated!

The views and walk to the beach were wonderful. Easy access and not terribly busy. The kids enjoyed the pool during the day and for night swims. The uniform truck abandoned in the neighbor's yard is an eyesore but the tortoise living underneath was fun to watch each day.

      Perfect House

Left on 01/30/2013 for a stay in January 2013

This house was great - we had 4 moms and 4 boys. Everything was great except - it needs at least one DVD Player - other than that - perfect. I've stayed all over the island and this is my favorite. My son prefers a house on the cut or point where there are docks to fish, but my favorite house sold and is now a private residence and the others are old and dingy. There is one really nice one, but it is really expensive. This house, although not directly on the beach, has direct views of it and the wrap around balconies are wonderful. Great kitchen too. I've booked it again for June!

Great Home; Island amenities need update

Left on 01/17/2013 for a stay in January 2013

Great home but the home owners and association needs to put in capital to update their facilities. From the welcome desk, bar, pool area, grocery store, they are stuck in the mid 80s, charm is one thing but disrepair is another. Although, we stayed in a newer home, responsibility of maintenance and updating places should be a working collaboration of everyone. Owners should be fined if they do not repair and maintain houses at a certain level to make places not just habitable but comfortable. Shame on you as such a beautiful island and idea. Get rid of all the junkyards!! Caribbean poor islands look better then this and proud of their islands.

      Total Relaxation Here!

Left on 08/16/2012 for a stay in July 2012

Had a great family week at Beach House, Too. The house fit our needs perfectly. The only downside was the water pressure when showering. Not sure what caused it, but everyone lost water at some time during showers. But, that was minor inconvenience compared with our happiness with the entire experience. The house is nicely designed for privacy and comfort - the decks are amazing - sunset views unsurpassed from decks - screened deck for eating. We were only steps from the beach - felt sometimes like we had the beach to ourselves. Never realized how enjoyable a vacation could be - you could do nothing or keep busy as even in this pristine setting, there were enough activities available - swimming, tennis, kayaking, shelling, bicycling, hiking, etc to please everyone. We will definitely be back!

      Beautiful New House...needs punch list

Left on 04/25/2012 for a stay in March 2012

Thus house was well equipped, cookware, bakeware, glasses, games, towels etc. All new. Needs 2nd fridge if staying for week w/ family. Spot built in for it on ground floor. Bugs galore, well issues. Needed "punch list completed b/f our visit. Facilities knew us well & handled most of our request. Glad we were versed in operation of Well. Bathrooms needier towel hooks & rods. Shower heads too small for large showers. Decor amazing! Views superb! Lucky we were easy going. Would love to come back when Knicks worked out. Loved North Captiva!!!
