The apartment is situated bordering 2 idyllic and quiet villages namely Laglio and Carate. It is perfectly positioned to enjoy all aspects of Lake Como. Only one minute walk to the Lake, perfect position for relaxation. You will be in good company residing at the executive home as George Clooney's villa is just a few minutes walk from the property. There are a few restaurants nearby within walking distance or why not rustle up a feast at home, relax on the comfortable leather sofas whist listening to your favourite CD, or just sip on a cool glass of Pinot Grigio whilst soaking up the sheer beauty of the Lake from the balcony. Just sit back a...nd take in the view.The apartment boasts modern, contemporary living with huge windows which open out to the lake!

The emphasis at this home is very much on relaxation and comfort with private balcony and a huge communal terrace ideal for sunbathing. Car hire is not required however the accommodation includes private parking (a rarity here in the small village of Carate Urio and a real selling point it's often difficult to park in peak summer months, especially of a weekend) plus a lift to minimise carrying suitcases up countless steps which is common here on the lake due to the unique geography of Como.

two tranquil and residential villages just a short drive from Como City and easily accessible to Milan Airports (40 minutes drive only to Malpensa airport)The property enjoys spectacular lake and mountain views and eatures two bedrooms and two bathrooms with a choice of shower or bath.

Ferry & bus service access many attractions along the lake located here in the village.

The ancient villagea of Laglio and Carate Urio offers a real haven for tranquillity. Ideal for an afternoon meander through the narrow cobbled stepped pathways or to revel in the café-bar culture that is prevalent here.Unwind over an impossibly long lunch in one of the pretty lakeside trattorias or restaurants serving authentic locally produced food aks culinary perfection!

Explore the neighbouring villages and lazy lakeside living such as Laglio, where George Clooney spends his summer holidays hauled up at his lakeside villa! Or meander through the cobbled streets of Carate, Laglio and the neighbouring villages of Moltrasio Cernobbio for an icecream, the perfect way to spend a sunday afternoon or a spot of shopping in one of the exclusive boutiques.

Relax with a touch of sunbathing on the shingle beaches around the local area or hop on the ferry and explore the lakeside city par excellence of Como with its pretty piazzas, cafe culture, 14th Century Gothic churches and famous Alessandra Volta Musuem, the Inventor of the humble battery!

Carate Urio, is a quiet residential neighbourhood with many old style villas just 20 mins from Como city centre and ideal for exploring the Lake and all it has to offer. There are some authentic Italian bistro /restaurants nearby. It really is the perfect location for re charging the batteries

Restaurants, cafes, italian icecream can all be found around and about the village with boutiques, deli and a supermarket available 7 days a week just 10 minutes drive. The minimarket is located here in the villageplus idyllic cafes to help you unwind and watch the world go by.Sunbathing available at the shingle beach/grassy area (walkable from the home) or take a dip in the lake, like the locals do, just in front of the home (In fact only the lower lake residential road seperates you and the home from the lake!)

The deep blue waters of the lake offer an enticing invitation for an afternoon dip or for a boat trip to one of the quaint villages that surround it. For lovers of flora and fauna a short journey will take you the grand gardens of Villa Carlotta or for sheer breathtaking beauty visit romantic Villa Balbinello with its fairytale lakeside location.

Famed for its jaw dropping beauty, the lake has long since attracted many famous names to its shores from Shelley and Longfellow to Stendhal and Liszt to modern day luminaries such as Versace and Clooney . In fact the recent final scene in the James Bond adventure, Casino Royale, was filmed here on the lake.

Futher afield Monza (formula 1), Milan ( Italy's capitol of industry and fashion)and Madesimo (skiing) and St Moritz in Switzerland(skiing, shopping and people-watching) are all within easy reach. Menaggio is very close to the Swiss border, so day trips to Lugano-should you wish to visit a different lake-is possible.
