USAThe Perfect Home away From Home!
Left on 10/30/2012 for a stay in October 2012
I recently stayed at Maison Juliette with friends for a week. The house was absolutely fantastic, and I would not hesitate to recommend it to others. Maison Juliette is spacious and comfortable. It has such character, and there is a peacefulness about it. The home is spotless and well appointed; everything you could possibly need is there. I wish I could take Maison Juliette with me everywhere I go on vacation!

San DiegoLove, loved this huge wonderful, old world French house!
Left on 07/08/2012 for a stay in May 2012
Maison Juliette was the perfect place to spend my 55th birthday with 3 girlfriends. The house has a wonderful old world French feel and is huge! We loved all the amenities, the gourmet kitchen, having a yard and patio so that we could dine al fresco in the evening or enjoy happy hour listening & watching the birds at dusk. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were nice as well as much bigger than I expected for French ones. The location was excellent, an easy walk to shopping and restaurants as well as the Citi Medieval. The owner's were very helpful and the security deposit check was promptly refunded. My favorite day was the all day wine tour with Sommelier Jean Luc of Vin & Company...worth every euro! Wish we could have stayed longer...

Boulder, ColoradoStately and Comfortable - Great Place to Stay
Left on 06/23/2012 for a stay in June 2012
This is a great house. Grand rooms are clean, comfortable, and described accurately. The private outdoor space is a lovely respite after a day of walking the city. Included are thoughtful extras like maps, bus schedules, shopping bags, umbrellas, and a market cart. It was warm while we were in Carcassonne, but the house stays cool and catches a good breeze if you manage the shutters as they suggest. The owners have created the most helpful and informative guest manual that I've ever seen and they have been wonderful people to work with. I won't hesitate to recommend Maison Juliette to friends and family.

Melbourne, AustraliaMassive Maison Juliette!
Left on 03/22/2011 for a stay in December 2010
Maison Juliette is massive! Four huge bedrooms, two spacious living areas, a seperate dining area, a big kitchen, huge hallways, three bathrooms and a laundry... Admittedly we had just spent 9 nights in a smallish Paris apartment, and there are only 4 of us, but Maison Juliette is one huge house! It would be a brilliant getaway destination for a group of friends, a couple of families or an extended family gathering.
We were warmly welcomed on arrival by a very helpful Lesa (the local manager). Getting to the house, from the train station, was a little further than expected (with two large cases in tow), so we would probably recommend using a taxi.
Maison Juliette is an impressive, beautiful house and we were delighted by what we found on arrival. The house was immaculately clean - quite a feat given its size. There was plenty of fresh linen, a well equipped kitchen, a small selection of Dvd's, wireless internet access, a wealth of tourism information and a range of books. There is also a small enclosed back yard to enjoy.
We particularly enjoyed spending time in the spacious kitchen with its big central bench. We all spent a lot of time perched around the bench (on the comfy stools), eating baguettes, drinking coffee (love the coffee machine!), reading, chatting, planning our days...
Caracassonne is an intriguing city and we enjoyed exploring it. We didn't have a car during our stay, but managed to get around on foot quite easily. We walked to the Old Cite and back, along the river and the canal. It was a bit of a trek to find a supermarket, but it was flat and manageable. We did miss having a boulangerie nearby, but this just meant making sure to buy all we needed when we were near the shops.
Staying in Maison Juliette truly added to our experience of Carcassonne. -

BrusselsFabulous house -- Great kitchen!!!
Left on 11/20/2010 for a stay in November 2010
We were so pleasantly surprised by Maison Juliette. From the pictures online we thought it could go either way, but the pictures did not do the house justice. It is huge. It is clean - nicely decorated. It was a bit too cold in November to enjoy the garden, but even just having the green space surrounding that side of the house added to the experience. The kitchen was wonderful. One of our traveling companions is a real gourmand who had come to cook, and it even passed her high standards.

Menlo Park, CA, USAOld World Fabulous
Left on 01/30/2010 for a stay in October 2009
Maison Juiliette is extraordinary. The house was built in 1860 and is the epitome of old world elegance - high ceilings, beautiful handcrafted architectural appointments, curved doors and arched windows. The spacious well-appointed interiors make for great gathering spaces while the stone walls make for restful nights. I stayed there for 10 days with 3 other adults and we were able to prepare elaborate dinners in the modern well-lit kitchen and hosted parties in the parlour and formal dining room. The house is well-lcoated for day trips to the Pyrenees, for those avid cyclists, and visits to local wineries and picturesque villages. The house comes with a beautiful garden, plenty of storage space for bicycles and motorbikes and all of the amenities - laundry facilities, modern kitchen and bath fixtures etc.
When we arrived, we were greeted by Lisa, the manager who, fluent in English and French, gave us a grand tour of the Maison and made us feel right at home. She was also our go-to person for everything from renting cars to bike repairs, shopping to navigating the train system.
You will love this place! We can hardly wait to go back. -

San FranciscoCarcassonne in October - fabulous stay at a great villa
Left on 01/29/2010 for a stay in October 2009
We stayed with a group of 5 women in Maison Juliette after 3 days in Paris. The trip to Carcassonne was easy on a combo TGV and regional train ticket. We arrived at Maison Juliette tired and the house was warm and inviting. In a great central location (near the main suare, the historic castle or "Cite" and many great restaurants and shops. There was an abundance of things to do in and around Carcassonne - including wine tasting, cycling, historical tours and nearby picturesque villages. Most of all the house was superb - very large rooms, clean bathrooms and kitchen, a back yard sitting area, bikes available for riding to the main square (adults and children's bikes) and several lovely sitting rooms. The kitchen is amply stocked to make gourmet meals and there was a list of the best restaurants in the area. Overall an A+++++ experience. Will go back again for sure.
