Chalet Kammleitn is a traditional chalet, nestled in a tiny hamlet just a few minutes drive from the snow-assured ski resort of Nassfeld. We provide our guests with everything they want, and more, from their winter ski holiday. We have created a haven where you will be as happy staying at home as you are out and about. Delicious food and wine in abundance, goes without saying, as do comfortable rooms, roaring log fires, and a welcoming environment. So when we say home from home, here at Chalet Kammleitn, we really mean it.

Chalet Kammleitn offers our guests a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. All bedrooms are equipped with en-suite facil...ities, offering a selection of twin, triple and quad rooms, most with balcony and having the fantastic views of the Italian Carnic Alps, and the Nassfeld slopes.

Our facilities include a Cosy Guest Lounge with Log Fire, Flat-Screened TV plus DVD Player, along with comfy sofas and chairs; A separate Games Room with Table Football, Playstation 2, TV and Board Games etc; a spacious Dining Room, with beautiful, hand-carved ceiling; ; Ski Room with boot warmers and ski racks.

In the winter months our prices are based on Chalet Board breakfast and afternoon tea every day, evening meal 6 times per week. On Chefs night off we can reserve your table for you at any of the excellent restaurants either in Hermagor or Tropolach.

We provide a buffet breakfast every morning. Then after an exhilarating day out on the slopes, head back home to Chalet Kammleitn, and sit around the roaring Log Fire, whilst tucking into your well-earned Afternoon Tea - you can choose from a selection of teas, freshly brewed coffee, hot chocolate and Gluhwein, plus of course, the days' cake.

Your evening meal is served in our spacious Dining Room, with its beautiful hand-carved ceiling. This the ideal place for guests to meet up and discuss their days' skiing, whilst enjoying a well-earned, freshly, home-made three course evening meal. Vegetarians are also catered for; please advise at time of booking.

Our chalet is suitable for small and large groups, singles, couples and families alike. You do not have to book the entire chalet. We can offer the entire chalet for sole-occupancy for groups of 16 or over, subject to availability.

Winter Activities

Nassfeld is a must for both summer and winter sports enthusiasts alike. It has the largest and most versatile skiing area in the sunny south of Austria, with 30 high-tech cable cars and lifts, 110 km of snow-certain pistes for all levels of skiers and snowboarders. Add to that the 25 ski huts and mountain restaurants – who could ask for more!

There is a free, regular shuttle bus, which stops just 200 metres from our chalet, taking you, within minutes, to the gateway of The Millennium Express, where you can purchase your ski-pass. The Top-Ski Carinthia ski-pass allows you to ski all over Carinthia and East Tyrol, for the validity of your pass.

The longest run, is the renown Carnia run, from an altitude of 1822m, and a piste run of 7.6 km, right into the valley of Tröpolach – the perfect end to the perfect days' skiing!

There are many other winter activities in this area, including 2 good cross-country trails of medium difficulty, nordic walking trails, toboggan runs and ice skating.

Summer Activities

Staying at Chalet Kammleitn in the summer months, will provide you with a wonderful, comfortable base, from which you can explore the warm and sunny attractions of Carinthia – this is The Natural Arena of Carinthia – with 52 specially developed activity programmes. The Alpine Adventure concept has something for everyone, whether you’re a nature lover, an adrenaline junkie, or wanting a family holiday.

In the winter season prices are based on half board. Tourist tax is included in all prices. Group discounts for 16 adults or more. Sole-occupancy is possible for groups of 16 or more.

  Stayed here on 4 day skiing trip. The room was clean and comfortable. Only downside was lack of light as we had only 2 on-wall lights for 3 beds. The common area with the fireplace is a great plus with the comfy chairs and pastry, tea and mulled wine prepared every afternoon by the young couple looking after this challet - Roland and Gabriela. They were both very helpful at all times and the dinners they prepare were a great end to a day of skiing and totally worth the EUR 15. The location itself was quiet and a little bit off the main road (5-10 mins walk from ski bus stop) so we opted for taking the car to the slope (10 minutes ride to the Millenium-Bahn parking). The cross country skiing track is just outside the house.
  Overall, good value for money and ideal for couples' getaways, being it for skiing or visiting the mountains.
