I miss my home from home! I felt so settled after 30 minutes of arriving. The layout was perfect and something I would choose for my own home. The living area was very comfortable and so well equipped catering for everybody with the Dvd's, leaflets with suggestions of things to do, games and colouring pads for the kids, cards, and even some memorabilia. I loved popping out on the balcony in a morning and watching the cows, and had the fairy lights on at night too which made it even more special. The kitchen was very well equipped, easy to move around and with good storage space so that I could keep it nice and tidy, with a nice big dining table too. Downstairs, the bed was very comfortable and I slept more soundly than I have for such a long time. There was not a great deal of room to keep your clothes but we had the added benefit of the spare rooms and hooks and coat hangers. The cottage also had the added benefit of off road parking and being set back from the road which was ideal for us with our dog. Bathroom was compact but had everything we needed. The only small issue we had was that we had no hot water the first day but it was because the timer had been altered. Once we adjusted it to suit our needs, we were up and running.
We were a short walk from two pubs so had two meals out during our stay. I liked both of the pubs - one for it's lovely service , and the other for it's quirky character and love of chilli peppers!! I really do miss it, I was so settled, comfortable and at home there.
If you are going - make sure you visit Wastwater! It was like walking into a painting of the most beautiful scenery ever, peaceful and serene and idyllic. After one visit to the Lakes, I can definitely say I am a Lakes lover!
Beautiful, peaceful - ideal !!

Lovely property with all the amenities that you could need. Set in an idealic village with good local shops and pub/restaurants ! Easy access to many attractions ! Owner was excellent during our stay
Only downside was that the Garden-which was fabulous for our son was however not enclosed so couldn't let our dog freely roam when outside

What a lovely cottage this is. We spent a delightful week here. Not the best weather, but what does that matter when you're in accommodation as well specified, comfortable, clean and interesting as this one. And in a beautiful location, very private but handy for the village and surrounding attractions. We can't wait to come back!
