This was our second time staying here and the experience left a lot to be desired ...already a late check-in at 5 pm, our unit was not available til 630 - we have 4 small kids!!! When I expressed frustration at this, our checkin employee actually said 'Are you Serial???'

The resort is very nice and has a lot for the kids to do. It's a very short walk to Legoland, so we could save the parking fee. There are also a lot of nice restaurants in the area. We were very well taken care of at the resort, and the personnel at the desk were very friendly and very accommodating.

This property is awesome for children. Everything, from the game rooms, pool play area, basketball court, playground and kids activities like nite time s'mores by the pool, are fantastic. The condo was very comfortable and very very well appointed.

Although we stayed only one night, we wish we could have
stayed longer to enjoy all the amenities The Grand Pacific
had to offer. Friendly staff, a clean and roomy suite located near a pool, bbq, game room and fire pit, made for
a fantastic stay. We also enjoyed breakfast at Karl Strauss
brewery located on the premises. Keep up the great work! -

Front Desk check in was frustrating and stressful and it took entirely to long to finally explain to me why there was a problem.
The problem was another group had not checked out due to improper dates so we had to be moved to another property for the first night.
The staff kept going to the back area and staying gone for long periods without immediately explaining what happened.
I was compensated with another stay that I hope will be available when we reach our destination after a 10 hr trip.
The laundry room facilities were extremely poor. Cost a lot, clothes had to be run several times in the dryer (not drying) poor quality appliances. Very disappointed with the laundry facility especially after coming back from the beach and needing to wash clothes immediately. -

I have to say, overall the stay was really great. There was lots to do at the hotel and plenty of activities for the kids. The two bedroom was more than enough space and was decorated in a nice way. The bathrooms could use a bit of sprucing up as the showers and tile were sub par at best. The pool was great, but they need a larger hot tub in the family pool area.

Had a great experience with Grand Pacific Palisades. Our condo was clean, the kitchen had everything we needed, the beds were comfortable, the location was quiet. it was close to Legoland. My grandsons enjoyed going to the pool in the evening. It was also close to good restaurants and Costco was not too far away.

Las Cruces, NMNot What We Expected :(

The property was very nice, but we had many issues while staying there. Check in took forever!!! There were 4 people at the front desk but only 1 actually taking check-ins. I stood in line for 20 minutes with only 2 people in front of me. Then they send you to another line to try to get you to go to a time share presentation. They never asked if I was interested, just simply sent me to that line. It was a waste of my time and another 15 minutes gone. Our room keys had to be replaced 4 times during our stay because they were not scanning properly. This became very inconvenient since a few times we had just returned from the beach, were tired and we were carrying a lot of items. We had to wait 10-15 minutes to get a replacement every time. The villas were very nice, but the bedroom does not have a ceiling fan so it got pretty hot during the night. House keeping only takes trash out and replaces towels twice a week. The family pool was closed an entire day during our stay. The adult pool specifically states that no one under 17 is allowed. However, every evening my husband and I went to the adut pool to try to relax and spend some nice quiet adult time together, there were over 5 kids at the adult pool! One evening an entire girl scout troop of girls age 10-12 were there. Not what we call adult time. We have three kids, we know! Then to make it worse the adult pool was shut down for a private event during our stay. We participated in a few childrens activities hosted by Hotel, however there was always an extra charge. One evening we took the kids to smore making and at that time were told it was $3 per child. I know it's not much, but I think these children's activities should be at no extra cost, specially with the already high nightly rates. Overall we were not impressed. We will be staying at a different location on our next trip to Carlsbad.

Hello Sandra,
Thank you so much for taking the time to provide feedback regarding your recent stay at Grand Pacific Palisades. I am sorry to hear about the issues you experienced throughout your stay. I assure you, my team is doing everything in our power to speed up the check-in process for our guests. I am also sorry to hear about the experiences you had with our pools. I assure you this was an isolated incident, although I understand it would be quite frustrating since it occurred during your stay. I would love a chance to speak with you about your experiences one-on-one. Please feel free to call me directly at any time.

We went here specifically to take the children to see the flower fields that are literally next to the resort. The pools were wonderful. I especially enjoyed that they have separate pools for adults and children. The adult pool was beautiful and had glass windows to show the open view of the ocean. And they heated them which was a blessing because it was a bit nippy for the time of year we went.
The rooms are well kept and comfortable. They're in the process of remodeling so I wouldn't give them a two thumbs up on decor. The check-in was nice and my son took advantage of the gym. I like that the area is close enough to San Diego to enjoy the offerings there but also had activities close by. The outlet mall and restaurants right below the resort made my girls happy. They have a recreation room that we played games in with the kids and had fun as a family. They even had a juke box which interested the kids. It was a little cold for the beach but we still had fun playing in the sand and enjoying the day. Services are close by and I liked that I could shop for my own groceries and make my own food! That saved us a ton with the family.
My wife and I rented a 1 bedroom and took the kids back in March we liked it so much. We also rented another Hilton property that newly opened because we like the area so much.
We'll go again! -
